As always, this is a fantastic place to grab breakfast or lunch with friends and family. All the staff are wonderful and friendly. They are attentive and courteous, even when they are super busy. They expanded their menu since they renovated the interior. I still stick for the classic Greek fare like chicken souvlaki and gyros. Their French fries are soo good! Their breakfast omelet with home fries are also so good. My friend said Louie's eggs Benedict is the best and therefore she never orders it anywhere else. Highly highly recommend! While in Manassett NY, I did what I do best, I Yelped and found Louie's. No fluff, no fillers direct and concise. Louie"s is what's in. They serve delicious breakfast, lunch, or dinners. The service is top notch and very classy. The atmosphere is casual elegance. The decor sets a cool vibe. The service you received is, a warm greeting, discreet attention, and detailed explanations. This restaurant is bustling even on a Sunday morning. There was a constant flow, coming and going. Non stop! Lisa was my server today and she's the pride of the restaurant, IMO! She took time and waited on me with smiles. I ordered the Leo Omelette- this comes with toast, homefries, lox and onions, I substituted egg whites and added avocado. This omelette was very filling with a satisfying portion of lox and onions, cooked to perfection and the lox was well done. You won't regret this dish . I didn't take homefries! I ordered camomile tea with honey. It was pretty good I would suggest serving very hot water. That's just preference. Pro tip: in the winter don't sit near the door, there's a breeze. Food: Decent and fresh but underseasoned. Understandable for the community they serve (although youthful customers abound, a more retired community did much more.) Omelet & Home Fries desperately needed seasoning on all levels. Chicken and Lemon Rice Soup was adequately flavored with a nice pucker but the Olive Oil used was flowery and overpowered the delicacy of this soup. The Grilled Chicken Salad (lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes) on it's own was DELISH. The Caesar dressing that was different but edible, a little on the sweet and thin side. Thankfully, had some Homemade Caesar at home to compensate. Also, had a TEC (Turkey, freshly sliced off the bone, Egg (scrambled), and Cheese (Cheddar) on a large, pillowy roll. Enjoyable. Service...1 person put a SOUR taste in our mouths. Was immediately greeted by everyone, except the older lady who was supposed to take our order. We LITERALLY stood in front of the register for almost 10 minutes, while she greeted and helped EVERYONE around, on the side & behind us. An older jovial man finally greeted us and was apologetic and swift. If it wasn't for the long morning and afternoon we had, we would've taken our money elsewhere! It stayed busy and packed so get there early. They do try to be efficient when seating. Came here today with my wife and two boys for lunch. It was about a 25 minute wait to get a table but it was definitely worth it. The food was great, the burger was very filling and delicious. Stuck for hours at the nearby Honda Dealer waiting for service, I walked here. So glad that I passed on the bagel store and the IHOP that were other options. I wanted a diner or other cafe to help pass more time. Let me tell you, this was a great selection. Louie's is a great old fashioned luncheonette like the ones I grew up with. The food, the service, the menu, the interactions. It's obvious why the local high school students pile in here; they know a good place! I had scrambled eggs, cooked very well, with nice crisp bacon, tasty hash brown potatoes and a yummy toasted, buttered bagel. Super meal. This is an account of blatant racial discrimination. The host at this establishment repeatedly, and intentionally, skipped over me and my party. He seated other parties--all of whom were non-Asian--before us. When I finally called him out on this behavior, he immediately resorted to making excuses. The inconsistent and contradictory reasons for not seating us were not a mistake. The host's actions were a clear example of racial bias. My advice to other Asians is to avoid this restaurant entirely. Do not give them your business, and do not subject yourself to this kind of discriminatory and humiliating treatment. read more

We had a great dinner here tonight. Love the family focused atmosphere- Louis the third was at the register (grandson of the owner). The menu is HUGE. They have something for everyone. I'm not sure what's better the feeling you get of being family when you're here or how delicious the food is? Each menu item is perfectly made. I usually go for breakfast. But I've seen their lunch and dinner menu and I am DEFINITELY coming back for that. My favorite pancakes on LI for sure. I always go with their banana walnut! I recently tried their cinnamon crunch french toast and they put a fresh fruit mix on top that absolutely melted in my mouth. Little secret, I always ask for their Vermont syrup which to me tastes better! For savory I love their omelettes and breakfast wraps! My favorite omelette is the Athenian which is a feta and spinach omelette that comes with toast and perfectly cooked home fries. I also got to try one of their famous Greek desserts loukamades and forget the lines at the Greek festivals, now I can get it here! Now onto the amazing family that owns this establishment that has been around for 61 years now in Manhasset! It's family owned and the whole family works there! They make you feel like family when you come here. They know your name, they know your order, and that's the reason they are packed and when you look around you see everyone is a regular here! I went inside as my wife was parking the car, ask for a table for 2 while they had at least 6 empty tables. The young man up front very politely went to his boss to see if he could seat me. The boss told him no, until my wife arrived. I asked so I have to stand. The young man apologized and said It was his boss's rule. Omg I love this place. My second time here in one week and it's SO SOLID!! It doesn't get better cooked eggs, home fries and more. One suggestion, keep the oranges for the fresh squeezed in the refill so it's chilled and not warm juice. We are at the hospital so it's 6 min away and so convenient. This place discriminate against Asian upon arrival we got our seats but no one came to give us water or coffee the table next to us sat down after us and the waiter gave them coffee right away, we had to wait 10 minutes for the waiter to take our order in which I had to ask for 2 coffee and water for my daughter, after the food came no one came to check on us or to even refill our coffee but I saw our waiter go to other tables and refill theirs we was angry at this point so we just pay and left even gave the waiter a 18% tip for horrible service when we was walking to the door no one said bye or thank you to us at all but we saw them telling other customers (not Asians) thank you so I would really avoid this place is you are Asian or Chinese!
