Maggie May has the best onion soup! I really enjoy it:) On Friday night, I lost my wallet. I didn't realize it until the next morning. I called the restaurant and left a message on the answer machine bc the restaurant only opens at 5pm. The owner called me back around noon. He told me that his employee found my wallet and I can pick it up at anytime. I'm very grateful for the owner and staff for returning it. They were very honest and kind people.

    Stuffed mushrooms

Arrived for dinner around 8pm on a Friday night, it was pretty empty only two tables eating and a few people at the bar. We tried the stuffed mushrooms, nothing special, needed salt. Didn't like that it was sitting in marinara sauce. The fish n chips did not feel very traditional, breaded and not beer battered. Fish was thin and not flakey plus the tartar sauce wasn't good. Sheppards pie was decent, would have preferred a tad more gravy. Tried the ribs, they were good, fall off the bone, but they use some kind of sweet Thai sauce, would have preferred a bbq sauce but it was fine. Chicken pot pie was so disappointing besides the crust which was very good. It was watery, bland, huge chunks of potatoes, and the chicken was dry. Definitely lacking the creaminess of a traditional pot pie and lacking any flavor. Had the only two beers they had on tap. Service was fine.

I always come here when I want to sit down and have the most delicious comfort meal. Although I might be Asian the food is absolutely satisfying and never to salty or overly greasy. The portions are always generous and filled with love. Service is always great and the waiters are super friendly. Ambiance is super nice and calm. Conclusion it's one of my favorites in my area. Try the shepherds pie and hot chicken pot pie you will love it. Everything is good here.

This is my go to spot on bell blvd in bayside when I'm looking for a local restaurant that can't go wrong. This restaurant has been around for 20 years and the owner cares so deeply for his customers, restaurant and food. He goes out every day to the market to see what is fresh to prepare the meals for the day. Every time you go, you will be served table bread with olive oil. You can really taste the rich olive flavor. The chicken dishes are great and have a wonderful sauce that does not feel heavy. It costs the chicken just enough. Even though it's chicken breast, it is not dry. You can choose mashed potatoes, fries or vegetables as a side for the entree. The pizza is a new addition. The tomato sauce is homemade and not tart. It's a great addition to the menu. This restaurant also a bar for anyone just looking to have a drink and a good time. The back of the space is the restaurant and they have a wonderful back area that is like a greenhouse. Id highly recommend anyone to come by here!

This is a great chill spot to have a drink with friends and catchup. I like the old fashions they have here. I came here with my friends this past weekend and I got the smoking bullet last time and it's interesting watching the bartender make the drink and adding the smoke in to make the smokiness flavor. I also got the hot toddy as that's a great drink for the winter. In the evening they have popcorn the give to the customers so that's a great snack to have with my drink. Would definitely come back to this spot the next time I'm in queens.

Great brunch w.limited menu, but enough to choose from. Brunch includes a cocktail, bread, fruit cup and coffee or tea...all for a very reasonable $11.95! I'll give anyplace a good rating if they know how to make eggs over easy correctly...and they do at Maggie Mays! (You wouldn't believe how many breakfast places don't know how to make proper eggs!). The thing that stood out for me about Maggie Mays (besides the food), is that their staff is young. Now, the cynic may say that they're just trying to get cheap labor but I say, Big Kudos to management for giving these fresh-faced young adults a chance to get some real work experience! And let me tell ya, this staff was hustling! It was super busy for Sunday brunch and they did a great time. We'll be back!

With so many eateries on Bell Blvd, one of my sisters, had put the bug in my ear about Brunching here for my post Birthday celebration. Maggie Mays lets out the typical Irish pub feel: the dark woods and a sizable bar. For $11.95, you get 2 Mimosas, a Fruit Cup, Entree (French Toast or Eggs any style or an Omelette), bacon or sausage (I passed on both) and Coffee or Tea. Not a bad deal. Right? On paper, Menu doesn't have a wide range of selections but for the most part, it offered really basic Brunch items. Mimosas were a huge disappointment and came up extremely short on the bubbly and felt, I was drinking straight up, iced orange juice. As was, my Seltzer & cranberry, that was chilled but tasted bland- while I waited for my sisters earlier. Luckily, my Omelette, tasted good and was fully prepared with fresh mushrooms (not canned), cheddar cheese and a side of nicely-charred, thin Breakfast Potatoes. My Niece, sisters and Mumsy, all complimented and enjoyed their burgers. All in all, No complaints on the food or from the staff as we were served by a couple young girls who were sweet and attentive (and the tall guy, also). However, inexpensive Brunch concept at $11.95......it was just too good to be true.

This place is a solid brunch standard and a Really good deal! The food rates a three as the cocktails that come with brunch are very watered down. Omelettes are lovey, scrambled eggs are nice and soft, not overcooked. Steak was cooked med, I asked for med rare but it is a fairly thin steak. Still a mild flavor and perfect for steak and eggs. Potatoes were cooked with pepper me and onions for that warm yummy sweetness. The bread basket and fruit cups that accompany the meal were a spot on! Nice touch but work on the cocktails folks ! That all being said this was the best most agreeable meal I've had all week!

Love this place! Food and service is always on point. Came here for dinner with a party of 6. The back area is so nice with the fire. We did a bunch of apps like the special quesadillas, ribs, and French onion soups. Our entrees were fantastic. Location is right next to the manciple parking lot. Will definitely be back!

I am a fan of this place. They put me on to Garlic Ranch Dressing....like, WHAT?! I can't find that anywhere! The ambiance is nice. We usually go when it isn't too busy. Staff is friendly, though, they need to be more attentive. But overall, they're great. Everyone made sure we were alright. Appetizer: - Mussels in white wine, garlic and oil - House salad with garlic ranch dressing!!!!! Entree: - Shepard's Pie - a pasta dish (i forgot what it was called!) Dessert Coffee: - Irish w/ Irish whiskey - cheesecake Everything was great! I need to get back here, soon!!! So should you!

It's been six years since I last came here. The food is still pretty good and the service was…read morefriendly, but overall I found the sandwiches a bit overpriced. The menu has very detailed, almost elevated descriptions that make everything sound spectacular, but in practice the flavors don't quite come through, especially the sauces, which are barely noticeable. Our server was flexible when we asked to swap the potato chips for fries on the kids' grilled cheese meal, which we appreciated. However, we were then charged $1.40 for a side of ranch for the fries. I understand they have a range of specialty sauces and dips that are clearly priced on the menu, but that still felt steep for ranch. They also offer a combo option to add fries for $5, but the portion doesn't really feel aligned with the price. The steak sandwich itself was surprisingly tender, even though it looked like it might be tough. That said, I couldn't taste the roasted red pepper sauce, and the "sweet onion jam" turned out to just be caramelized onions. My mother actually ended up picking them out because she doesn't eat onions. (she won't eat onions that she can see) The buffalo cauliflower was tasty, but could have been crispier. The "serves two" description also felt a bit generous given the small portion. I also ordered a brisket sandwich to go with fries. The coleslaw sounded great on the menu, but in reality the flavors didn't stand out, no real hint of jalapeño, just a fairly standard slaw. Overall, the food descriptions felt more impressive than the actual execution, though the to-go fries portion was more generous, which was a nice surprise. Would I go back? I'm not sure. Maybe for a casual visit with a few beers and fries with an assortment of dipping sauces...I am a sucker for those.

Only two people in front of us and we finished placing the order by 11:30 AM. We were told there would be a 1 to 1 1/2 hour wait before the order could be ready. So, we lounged at the nearby Starbucks for an hour before returning -- a highly recommended option! After 1.5 hours, I asked for my name. Nothing. 1 hour 45 min, nothing. 2 hours, nothing. We thought this was ridiculous and confronted the ordering counter. Alas, they realized our "receipt" was lost. They promised to fulfill it right away; however, the next batch of ribs wouldn't be for another 20 minutes! It's turned out to be a total nightmare - 2.5 hours of waiting, with the 104° record heat to boot. I was plotting to slaughter the review as I waited; fortunately, the guy at the ordering counter knew how to make it right by giving us additional portion of proteins. So was the food worth it? Not with that amount of waiting but it was good. The dark chicken meat was moist and tasty. Chicken breasts were customarily dry, but the magical green sauce more than compensated for the dryness. That green sauce made this whole meal stand out for sure. It had massive amount of cilantro and garlic as far as I could tell. I'd like to think of it as Asian pesto. Although it's a "chicken" joint, everyone in my party unanimously preferred the ribs - uniformly tender and easier to eat. Oh, remember to grab some plastic gloves on your way out!

By the time I remembered to take a picture, the damage had already been done. I've been to Golden K Burgers a few times now, and it has quietly become one of my favorite burger spots. It's a Korean-American burger joint with a cozy diner feel inside. Nothing overly flashy, just great vibes, a comfortable atmosphere, and a staff that always greets you with a warm smile that makes you feel welcome. Over the times I've been here, I've tried the Farmhouse Burger, Big Kahuna Burger, BBQ Chip Burger, and the A1 Burger. Honestly, they've all been excellent. But somehow... I keep coming back to the A1 Burger. Now I know what some of you are thinking. "A1 sauce? Really? There are so many better burger sauces than A1!" I actually agree! A1 has never been my first choice for burgers. But my goodness... whatever magic they're working here just works! The two juicy beef patties, perfectly marinated mushrooms and onions, melted Swiss cheese, tangy A1 sauce, and soft buttery brioche bun come together like a perfectly conducted symphony. Every ingredient has its role, and none of them overpower the others. The mushrooms bring an earthy richness, the onions add sweetness, the Swiss cheese gives it that creamy nuttiness, and then the A1 sauce swoops in with just enough boldness to wake up your palate without stealing the show. Funny enough, every topping on this burger (except the A1 sauce) is exactly what I'd normally choose for any burgers anyway, yet the A1 somehow becomes the finishing touch that ties everything together! Another thing I really appreciated was how well the burger was constructed. It held together beautifully from the first bite to the last without collapsing into a soggy mess. That's an underrated quality that deserves recognition. The fries were also fantastic because they weren't buried under a mountain of salt like so many places do. I actually found myself wondering if they'd fry them a second time upon request because I love my fries extra crispy. I guess I'll have to ask next time! I've also had their 12-piece Buffalo Wings before. I wouldn't say they're the best wings I've ever had, but they're definitely very good. They came out crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, marinated evenly with buffalo sauce (dry) that had just the right balance of buttery richness, tanginess, and heat. They were satisfying without being overly greasy. From the outside, Golden K Burgers probably doesn't scream, "This is one of NYC's best burger joints!" But trust me when I say this: you'll find yourself craving it again very soon. And to me, that's the highest compliment I can give any restaurant. There are plenty of places that impress you once. The truly great ones are the ones that make you want to come back! Give Golden K Burgers a try! Highly recommended!

Manager Beatrice is truly a gem -- very attentive, super sweet, and made my family feel so welcome. The atmosphere was warm, family-oriented, and comfortable. The prix fixe menu was excellent from beginning to end. For appetizers, my mom had the burrata with heirloom tomatoes, and my sister and I had Nonna's meatballs, which were delicious. My sister had the rigatoni, my mom had the salmon, and I had the short rib of beef, which melted in my mouth like butter -- that's how tender the meat was. For dessert, I had the cannoli's while my mom and sister enjoyed the chocolate lava cake. Everything was flavorful and beautifully prepared. The bathrooms were also nice and clean, which is always a plus. My family and I will definitely be coming back again -- even if it's just to stop in for a lychee martini and the grilled octopus, one of my favorite meals. Highly recommend for a family dinner, date night, or casual night out

It was a very quiet late lunch on a Wednesday, with only one other table occupied. The restaurant…read moreis nicely decorated, featuring an open kitchen and a wood-fired oven, which gives the space a warm and inviting feel. Our server was very pleasant and happened to be the only one working at the time, though with so few guests, it seemed to be all that was needed. We ordered the three-course lunch special. One set included the meatballs to start, followed by the chicken Parmesan and bomboloni for dessert. The other included a Caesar salad, tagliatelle Bolognese, and tiramisu. There was a bit of a longer-than-expected gap between the appetizer and the entrée, especially considering we were essentially the only table being served, as the other guests had already finished their meal. That was a little frustrating. Aside from that, most of the food was solid. The only real disappointment was the chicken Parmesan, which was quite overcooked. It was unfortunate given that the kitchen was only cooking for the two of us. That said, the mashed potatoes, an unusual pairing with chicken Parmesan were excellent: perfectly creamy and incredibly smooth. The tiramisu was also quite good, but the real standout was the bomboloni. I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed them, since fried doughnuts wouldn't normally be my first choice for dessert. I would definitely return.
