I selected Greenshield in Feburary, 2014, after looking up various companies in the Bay Area that specialize in insulating homes. I contacted Greenshield and spoke with Ahmad. We set a date and Ahmad arrived right on time. We went over the entire house. Underneath the crawl spaces and the attic. He pointed out all the work that they would perform to improve the comfort of our home. A special pressure test was first conducted to determine the air and heat loss. The results were terrible. Our home was losing more warm air in winter than we could get from the heater. A date was set. The crew, under the supervision of Abraham, arrived right on time and went right to work. They knew what they were doing and took many precautions not to dirty or damage our wooden floors. It was amazing how much was completed on the first day. The work was completed in only three days. Ahmad arrived on the third day to inspect the work. He showed me the attics and the new material lining the ceiling and walls and the 14" of new R-41 insulation, plus all new air ducts. We went into the crawl spaces under the house and showed me all the sealing and new insulation that was installed. There were a couple of places that needed touchup. A couple of workers showed up the very next day and touched up a few areas that were missed. Three days after the installation, another pressure test was conducted. There was an improvement of over 60% to the sealing and insulation that prevented air escaping or entering the house. In just a couple of days, the house was noticeably warmer. The heater would go on at times, but would shut off sooner and the heat was much more retained. The house even sounds more sound proof and stays cooler on warmer days. I called Greenshield about 2 months ago to come out and give me an Estimate. Ahmad came out and was very polite. He used shoe covers when he entered my home and explained everything very thoroughly. He explained to me their entire process and explained some things I was unaware about in my attic. He ended up providing me with an Estimate for Removing the old Insulation from my Attic, Install R-44 Blown Insulation and Insulated my Exterior Walls. He didn't pressure me into signing up for the work as I needed to discuss with my wife. After he left I had 2 other Quotes for the same work. I was not very much impressed with the other companies. I called Ahmad about a week later and scheduled to do the work and they came out about 3 weeks after that. When their installation crew arrived they were very polite and respectful towards my home. They did the work in less time than I was told. I went up and inspected the work and it looked great. The Attic had a smell before (probably from Rodents) and that was completely gone after they Removed the Insulation and Sanitized. They came back the following day and installed the Insulation in the Exterior Walls. They finished a few hours ahead of schedule. It has been a few weeks now and my house is significantly warmer all day long. My furnace use to run all the time and now it is only on a few times during the day. Their quality is top notch. In summary, Greenshield is a very professional and quality company from their work to their customer service. I had a great experience with them. Their price was competitive also. I interviewed and got quotes from two other insulation companies before deciding on Greenshield, Inc. Price wise they were very competitive and the service wise excellent! They were able to schedule my installation right away and completed the job in about 6 hours. Ahmad made a very good presentation of the company, the service and product. My wife and I were convinced to go with Greenshield right away. Abraham managed the crew and installation very well. He also made sure to take pictures and show me (a) the result of the clean-up / removal of old installation, (b) whole attic air insulating & (c) the measurements of the blown in R30 insulation - emphasizing that they gave me a little more than what was required! I've had an ongoing rat issue in my home so I finally decided to take care of it. I had greenshield come out about 2 weeks ago and they removed all of my old insulation and completely sanitized/sealed my attic. They put new blown insulation of about 16 inches and they also added that special reflective insulation. They had also drilled and filled my walls with insulation. My overall experience was very pleasant. Ahmad was very polite and helpful with the entire process. The installation crew were also great and did everything in a timely manner. Greenshield is a great company. Their home energy consultant Sam came out to my house and began talking to me about my energy bill and where he thinks i could save money. He is a real nice guy and seems to know alot about what he does. He also toured the house for other possible energy savings. He gave me alot of great ideas and gave me a list of things i could do to make my house more efficent. he also took a look in my attic and found out I barely have any insulation. He set up an appointment for the next Friday to insulate my attic. It was great they were in and out and my attic is now insulated perfectly and they left no mess. read more

Greenshield just finishing install my new insulation last Monday. I am thrilled from the beginning to the end. Sam explained everything that would be done on the day of the installation. He told me to anticipate at least 6 hours to install the insulation. Chuck and his crew came in at about 7:45 and immediately began work. They were out of my home a few minutes before noon. I just had greenshield install 2 solar attic fans and reflective insulation in my attic. It has been great and my favorite part of it is how cool my home is and it stays that way throughout the whole night. Greenshield installed radiant barrier insulation in my attic as well as a solar attic fan. They gave me a great deal which was the cheapest quote I've recieved. There product is heavy duty and high quality due to the fact that you can't rip it if you tried so you can walk on it no problem .
