Just a really good salad. I'm a vegetarian, so I tend to get annoyed with salads when I go out to eat. It's not fair, really. Salads are great! It's just that so many people assume that salad must be all that you eat if you don't partake of steak. Let them read some of my reviews and they'll see that is completely untrue. Not all veggies are waify. Some of us have beefy appetites... without the beef. I digress. I did a favor for a friend, who insisted on thanking me with food. Can't say no to that! We only had a little while before he had to get to the airport to head back to LA, so we picked something quick. He chose this place, and I'm very glad that he did. I had the large red and white salad with tofu, and was pleasantly surprised that I couldn't finish it! A salad!! And, it was seriously really good. They had a ton of toppings that you can add to your salad, so perhaps I'll design my own next time. I use the word "design" because these things are works of art. Colorful, and fresh, and taste as good as they look. They even look like the salads in the tv commercials, except that they are actually edible! Most of those salads on tv are painted and sprayed with wax, blech. I will have to do more favors for friends as an excuse to come back. And this place is very inexpensive, so you don't have to feel bad if people want to pay for your lunch. 5 stars from me! read more

This place has exactly what a health-conscious (or not) customer is looking for. The ingredients are fresh and they have every style of sandwich/salad you could ask for. The prices aren't so bad, BUT I was overcharged (didn't realize until I had taken it out). I'll probably be back, but I'll double check to make sure the person behind the counter is paying attention. It seemed some toppings were given more generously than others despite being charged equal cost or being included in the base price for my create my own options. What buffalo chicken I got was a bit tough and not very flavorful. There are a few tables available for eating in, though many people grab and go with their soups and salads. So I've worked in the area (closer to the Morgan Avenue stop) for most of the past four years and just discovered GreenStreets today, and I'm in love! My co-workers and I constantly complain about the lack of Hale and Hearty type locations out here - and let's be real, Hale and Hearty makes some great fucking salads, soups and sandwiches - and as much as they love Living Bread, their iceberg lettuce salads made me want to yack. That led us to yelp/scouting the area and finding GreenStreets. For $8.17, I got a bottle of water and a huge mixed greens salad with croutons, grilled chicken, apples, radishes and cucumbers. The set up is pretty similar to H&H - picking your greens, toppings, dressings, etc. - and there were three dudes working there so it moves along pretty quickly. I will go back for more gigantic salads, soups, panini's and more! Sold! read more

Unfortunately went here after not visiting this place for a few years since the change in owners and had a terrible experience, one of the staff wasn't wearing a mask properly while preparing the food (on his chin like a chinstrap) and when I notified the manager he just smiled and said "sure", also after ordering the mandarin salad I noticed they charged extra because I asked if they could add some scallions which already comes with the salad, when I asked the manager he said he gives the dressing for free which is obviously part of any salad. Great tasting salads for the price but unfortunately the service is quite bitter. Employees there don't seem to care to help first time goers, and I wasn't even the only first time costumer in line. This gentlemen was quick to say NO to everything and rushed both of our parties to our orders when it was not even busy (we were the only two clients at the time) and we had told him it's our first time here so we would like a few minutes. All I wanted to do was try one item on the menu and when asked if it was still available I was greeted with a NO followed by the worst attitude I've ever seen by a salad maker. Haven't tried their salad yet because they don't deliver to my work. According to Google Maps it only takes 7 mins by car. I was told its not the restaurants fault they can't deliver but it is the third party company the delivery guy works for that chooses not to deliver. According to my doctor I have extremely high blood pressure and need to eat more healthier. I was super stoked when I saw this pop-up on my Seamless. Because of the lack of places to eat where I work, I was hoping this place would deliver. Since it is only a 7 minute drive. Very, very, very disappointed. Way back when I worked downtown and had disposable income, I found it NBD to drop $14 - $16 on some "custom" salad from Chop't. While my baller days have ended, I don't have to sacrifice the same amount of cash for a delicious salad anymore. GreenStreets is a great corner spot close to Maria Hernandez Park, slightly "no frills" decor wise but don't be fooled - they have tons of great options for making a great bowl of greens. I opted to create my own, and despite asking for a ridiculous amount of toppings my total was still only around $9 - $10. The salad was huge enough to fill me for lunch and dinner. Highly recommend the lemon tarragon dressing (fat free, woo!). The guys & gals behind the counter are super nice, even if you come in at the end of the day and they have to refresh almost every item you ask for - they'll do it with a smile. read more

so this review is just based on my delivery experience. I haven't touched my food yet. I'm too effing furious. So my food took about 45 minutes to get here, no big. My phone rings, it's a 347 number I assume it's the delivery guy. It was, our building has a weird buzzing system. You have to look up our apartment number and then type in the code on the sign by the keys. I have a phone that rings up here, with a video monitor so I can see who is buzzing my door. I figured he got confused, so I ran downstairs. I said hello and I could immediately tell this guy was pissed off at his life. (sorry, delivery man) I simply asked why he didn't buzz the apartment and come up in the elevator. He looked at me as though I punched his baby. and replied "why should i buzz if I called you." I said, well I ordered delivery...so....that means bringing things to my door right? Maybe I'm confused" (I didn't grab a tone, nor was I nasty. Literally an inquiry. He said, 'there's no standing outside. I don't need to bring it up to you." Mind you, his tone was literally one of the rudest I've ever heard in my life...I replied "Okay....well you can stop being rude and speaking to me that way. Or this tip can just go back in my pocket. There is no reason for you to speak to me that way." He then crumpled up my grubhub receipt, yelled "keep your money" called me a 'fucking bitch' then stormed off to his car. I don't mean to sound like a spoiled princess, demanding that you MUST deliver to my door, but come on....I ordered delivery. That means you can hop in the elevator! (Not even the stairs) and press a little button that calls my apartment! simple. So rudest delivery guy I've ever met, I'm sorry that your day isn't going that well. But I work at a restaurant, I know everyone has a breaking point. I know that everyone has rough days. But you lose your cool in the comfort of a walk in cooler, or the back of the kitchen, or the THE COMFORT OF YOUR OWN CAR!!!!!!!!! (in your case) Don't take it out on me. I just finished having GreenStreets for the second time so that i could write a solid review. My first experience was so good that i knew i had to go for a second round to test for consistency. From the moment i entered GreenStreets that first time until now, no flaws have yet been detected. Staff is friendly and the food is so delicious, fresh, and excellent portions for the price. Most Panini are $6.50-$7 and you can add one of their delicious soups in for $2.50. I can personally vouch for the Spicy Joe, Buffalo Chicken, and Turkey Club which are all pretty damn good. Cream of chicken with wild rice soup and chicken chorizo chili are delish as well! GreenStreets is the type of place I want to keep trying and ordering from again and again. Delivery was fast and efficient, food arrived warm and quickly and their delivery minimum is only $7 which is the price of any item so i'd say thats as fair as it gets. They also accept Debit/Credit with no minimum. I'm excited to keep trying new things from here and and hope that nothing changes too drastically. read more

Love this salad spot. With a lot of Latin/Mexican food in the area it is nice to take a break and grab a nice salad. I love the buffalo. I'm kinda embarrassed how much I go here. But it's the perfect solution to my empty fridge so I'm over it. For seven dollars you can make whatever delicious salad you like, and then for two more you can add a homemade soup. They also do paninis, which I have yet to try but look pretty awesome. Healthy, delicious, fast and everyone who works there is so nice! The interior is great, definitely a place you can sit and enjoy your meal. Bushwick needs more places like this! read more

Good food, great service, and kudos to Green Streets for being the first salad joint in the community. I happen to know that the ownership truly does care about the health and well-being of the broader community and not just the new-to-the-hood hipsters, so that's the main reason I eat here. I have also purchased medium-large orders to cater small work events in the area and the staff has been super friendly and willing to deal with my last minute indecisiveness. I have had several salads, some chili, and a few wraps from here and I've always enjoyed the food. The chili wasn't my favorite, but then again, I am a huge chili snob and I only come across restaurant chili I like maybe 1 in 10 bowls. I know, sad and terribly snobby. If I could change one thing about Green Streets would be for them to offer more vegan items. They have all the basics for a decent salad but I would love to see some more interesting items like baked tofu (not raw), roasted squash, and more creative vegan sandwich options. read more

Delivery was half an hour early, I'm already finished and it wasn't even supposed to be here yet*, and twice the amount of veggies I was expecting. I built my own salad, and I'm sure it was better than anyone's who's ever built their own before. The salad came with a note, ending in a smiley face, warning me the olives had pits; I thought that was super cute. Also, they did not skimp on the goat cheese, which, I feel, is rare. The cheese lightly (and sometimes not-so-lightly) coated each individual mixed green, and even though I did, I didn't need to use the dressing. I also ordered the soup of the day and surprise! I like split pea soup! Being an adult aint so bad sometimes. I will definitely order from here again. First of all, I think most neighborhoods wish they had their version of GreenStreet Salads - reasonably priced, freshly tossed, great ingredients, sandwiches, salads and soups. Sometimes you don't feel lik eating tacos or pizza and just want something healthy, but you know if you buy all the ingredients they'll sit in your fridge and go bad.... Enter GreenStreet Salads. For six dollars, I got a gigantic to-go container full of Greek Salad with excellent romaine, feta chesese, olivers, cucumbers, freshly cut red onions, and even red, sparkly tomatoes. NO MEALY TOMATOES! I'm excited to try their soups.. I would have tried their baked potato soup except it's kinda 90F outside. Everyone, please support this new establishment in Bushwick! The staff is always so sweet and there's a lot of options. They give you a lot of food for the price, which honestly I think every place in Bushwick is pretty good with this. Stray away from delivery though. I called for delivery one night and it took almost 2 hours to come. I called them and the manager handled the situation in a very professional manner and refunded me and was very honest stating that delivery here takes quite some time. A friend took me here to try their salads and I wasn't disappointed at all. I loved this spot. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was quick, fast service. The menu is large, the items all looked fresh, and the service was wonderful. I'm a simple salad chic so I ordered chicken Caesar salad with romaine lettuce, Caesar dressing, cheese, olives, and croutons. The lettuce was super green, crunchy, and fresh with no brown spots. It was the best and the prices are very good with big portion sizes so I ordered the smallest portion and had food left over. Clean tables and a window bar to sit at.
