Are they even open? Stopped in about 11:30 AM. There was a sign on the door that said "OPEN", but it was locked.

5/3/2026 I'm from Pittsburgh and have been coming here for…read moreyears, my parents came here for years, as they have loved Pymatuning Lake since they got their first car.... So anytime we go up to our cottage- dad likes to stop here. Yesterday, after some grass cutting & cleaning up we stopped in. The place has that 'stopped in time' vibe that normally gets shut down, razed and built back up into a Family Dollar... but there's one down the street so Paxtons is save. Lol... Anyway- just look at that menu- those prices are cheaper than McDonalds and the quality is 10x better. Whoever rates this place less than 4 stars just doesn't realize what they have here- a small town, small business, struggling and making it, providing good food at a very fair price in a world where franchises are less than 1 minute away (Sheetz). I ordered the Big Bacon Double & large order of fries. The bacon was crispy, the bun was fresh, burgers were fresh (not frozen) patties pounded out on the griddle (think smash burger IF the SmashBurger trend had ever reached Greenville. Lol) Dad got the Chopped Beef steak and large fries. Both were delicious- the pics don't lie. Some might have issues with the dark colors, carpet on the walls, etc... but they serve SOLID food at family prices.

Highly recommend this restaurant because of its excellent food for affordable prices.read more

Chopped Beef...is it sirloin? Is it ground meat?I have no idea...it's NOT prime rib,but it IS 'really good' according to dad.

An annual visit for our family that never disappoints! In addition to their very large breakfast…read moremenu, we sampled daily specials. We were seated in the back room at 2 separate tables, which was fine with us. We waited about 15 minutes each time to be seated. With impatient hangry children, food was delivered in about another 15 minutes. Some establishments make up for quality by giving you quantity. Not so at Flips! Innovation and quality were always there! Combinations were amazing, even reheated! They offer these freshly-made pillow doughnuts called, appropriately, Flips! Only breakfast and lunch hours offered. I have chosen lunch for breakfast sometimes because lunch combos are so enticing. It is diner style, noisy, bustling, with mismatched service plates and flatware. Fun place to be with great food!

The Flip potatoes were seasoned with heaven and tasted like it. Simply delicious. The bacon was thick but not too thick. I had the weekday special and added the spicy sausage crumbles. Spectacular. The white toast was thick and buttery and just the right amount of crunch. My son had a 3 choice omelette with cheese bacon and spicy sausage and loved it. And the price was unreal. Definitely worth the stop if you're passing through. Glad it was recommended by the folks at Blaneyvision in Edinboro right up the street.
