Walter, the tour guide, was incredibly patient training us (yes it takes a minute to get the hang of it but then it feels like second nature). He was a great guide and I really appreciate all he did. Although I've been on Segways before and feel comfortable on them, it really helps to have an excellent sense of balance. Otherwise it could be nerve racking as you're going through downtown and there are lots of twists and turns, crossing streets and uphills and downhills. I highly recommend this tour. My wife and I had a very, very good experience riding Segways with Glide in Greenville. This was her first time on a Segway. This was my sixth time riding them. And, she did GREAT! This was a super way to get acquainted with Greenville; we had never been there before. And, Walter was the key to the success of the activity. He is so knowledgeable about the city and much of his focus is on keeping you safe while you "glide" around. The training up front was good; he wants you to feel comfortable and safe while on the Segways. He also will ask you what you want to see the most: History, Restaurants, Art/Architecture, or Ghost Stories. The top two win and his will design your time mostly on those two but does not leave out the others (unless you want him to - we did not want to focus on Ghost Stories). Of the six times that I have been on Segway tours in different cities, this was the best and it was all due to Walter. I always look for Segway tours when I travel to different cities and I really loved this tour of Greenville (I did the West End & Falls Park Tour). Tour guide Walter was terrific helping folks get safely acclimated to Segways (the safety video is a bit intimidating but they are really intuitive once you've been on for a couple of minutes!) and checking to see what we were most interested in (history and the many examples of public art in Greenville for our tour). We were able to see downtown, get an overview of Falls Park on the Reedy (we would have spent more time there but other folks on my tour had already been there) and even head out to Unity Park (with the extra time we had--we did spend enough time to get a great sense of Falls Park). I LOVE riding Segways anywhere and everywhere but this was the first tour where we traveled through so much gorgeous scenery (and greenery!)! It's a wonderful way to get an overview without too much walking--I then revisited some of our path on foot. Highly recommend! read more

Terrible, we are from Winston Salem NC. We have a segway tour there that we have used several times(very informative and enjoyable). So we went in with expectations of a professional tour. Our guide (Matt) was very immature and was making fun if someone that fell off of segway. The tour was 2 hours and we stopped twice to learn about the city. What did we pay for??? Then came the cemetery. We got there and his exact words were....."we are allowed to ride here so let's see how fast we can get"..... Not appropriate at all. Then he asked me if I wanted to drag race in the cemetery. I can't think of a worse place to do that, he also was making fun if names on tombstones. Do not waste your money here. read more
