The took exactly the length of time estimated to complete the job. They showed up each morning at 8am with a crew of 3-5 daily and worked diligently for at least 8 hrs per day. Each day they cleaned up and left a very clean work area. Within just 5 days, they pulled up existing floors and replaced with new floors. The best part of the experience was the install and the install team. Manny and his crew absolutely crushed it. We had an issue with an unlevel floor, and they took the time to add self-leveling compound to fix the problem the right way. We also have a ridiculous amount of stairs -- 34 total -- that were previously covered in carpet, and they now look amazing. Manny and his team were excellent from start to finish. Highly recommend.

I spend more than 10k on new carpet, but new one was even worse than our 20-year old carpet from original builder that was replaced. Learn a big lesson here. don't trust the small vender. There could be an ocean between the sample they show you and the quality of final product. Go to big name like Lowe's or HD for carpet with decent quality!

I bought a house earlier this year and wanted to do some improvements before moving in. I had four…read morebedrooms where I wanted to replace the carpet with some luxury vinyl plank. The rest of our house already had some laminate wood and tile flooring which I wanted to keep. I was looking for flooring that would match the color of the laminate wood floors of our hallway and living room. Sal-Hai was recommended by a friend for flooring services. I reached out via Yelp and got a response from the owner, JP, pretty quickly. He came to San Mateo from Hayward to take a look around our house and then came back another day to bring over many samples to color match our floors. I found that to be more efficient than me going back and forth to stores like Floor and Decor and Home Depot to try and find a match myself. JP found a sample that was very close to our existing flooring so we went with that. It only took about four days for our flooring project to be finished. JP had two other workers assisting him. They ripped out all our carpet and put the flooring and baseboard in. Our master bedroom had some sloping in the floor so JP worked to level it out before putting the new flooring on top. I impressed by the speed at which our project was completed. It's been a few months and we are thoroughly enjoying our new floors! The flooring seems to be holding up well. I did notice a very minor bouncy area in our master bedroom where the floor was supposed to be leveled and told JP about it after we moved in. However I didn't get a response after I requested him to look at it. I decided we can live with it and it doesn't seem to be adversely affecting the function of our floor. The only slight con I have to mention is the logistics of scheduling our project. I had to postpone our floor installation due to delays with some other house projects (permits and inspection scheduling were at peak delays during the pandemic). I had to make many calls and send multiple emails and texts to JP before we could reschedule our project. I did appreciate that he was able to squeeze in our project in between some big commercial ones he had on his calendar. Overall I will still go back to Sal-Hai if I need future flooring services and am happy to refer him to friends! I thought the quality of work is pretty good and his rates are very reasonable for the Bay Area.

The store staff were very helpful navigating us through the selection process questions and answers. Our installer Alberto worked long hours past 5 pm installation day to complete this job. The pattern layout was perfect and I highly recommend him. And many thanks to Ivan the installation supervisor who coordinated timely shipping of the tiles from Georgia when we needed a few additional for completion. It was a 5 star experience.

Didn't ask or care, we just want to put our order through. Anyways, we said that's okay and just wanted to make our purchase. The lady then acts like we're forcing her to do something out her scope of work. She then mispronounces our last name followed up with an "okay" in a rude tone. And then after being corrected, she gets upset and says that she doesn't want to talk to us anymore and that someone else will call us back. No thanks! We'll take our business elsewhere.

The installation could not have gone better: the installer arrived on time, worked diligently, cleaned up thoroughly, and was out promptly. But I think he deserves a shout-out for the BEAUTIFUL job he did. He had to remove many baseboards and thresholds, but when he replaced them, he really went the extra yard, not only carefully caulking the baseboards when he put them back, but touching up the paint, filling the nail holes and painting over them, so everything looked perfect. And he even cleaned the thresholds so they looked even better than before. I'd give them more stars if I could.
