The breakfast here is one of my absolute favorites!!! I always get the 2 egg breakfast, sausage patty, there breakfast potatoes are out of this world!! I have them add extra roasted garlic, another one of my favorite breakfast items - berry French toast . fresh and homemade this one is an absolute must have if you are just passing through Ridgway... my husband loves the smash burger He gets that every time.!!!! and you can't forget about the bloody Mary's (the bloodys)... Parker is your guy for an absolute phenomenal, Bloody Mary or any cocktail for that matter!!!! The ambience, here is amazing!! they have an indoor and an outdoor seating area,,,, Oh, they also have a bar area for those who like to sit and watch sports or chitchat. Had the smash burger (it's pretty thin so add the second patty if you're hungry) with grits and my spouse had pulled pork grilled cheese. Everything was delicious and came out quick. We sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and attentive. The next day we had to-go breakfast: sausage breakfast burrito and a biscuit with butter and jam. Nice little spot along my route today as I always look for dog friendly spots. Cool outdoor area with lots of tables and umbrellas for when you need some shade. Staff brought a bowl of water for the dogs. I ordered the pot roast and eggs. Tasted good and the muffin was sweet and delicious. My waiter was great and I'm glad I followed his advice on my order. I can't believe I haven't left a review before. We live in NC but have been here 3 times this year. We hit it for breakfast on our way to a motorcycle ride on the Million Dollar Highway and it was so amazing our group decided to come back the next day for dinner. Again that was excellent. Fast forward four months and we were back in the area and were so tired but decided to drive a little further for dinner. We had the pot roast with mash potatoes and gravy and the side salad. First of all the salad had homemade ranch dressing, candied hazelnuts and black eyed peas (neither of us like those)... We ate all of the salad including the blqck eyed peas and couldn't remember a better salad. Really exceptional flavor. Then the pot roast was tender, moist and so good. Im not usually a big fan of gravy but the gravyand mash potatoes were so good I wanted to steal my husband's Seriously this food is consistently amazing and we will come back every time we are in this area, why settle for just on when you know you can have a meal you talk about for days. read more

Someone here really cares about food. We ordered the potato dumplings as an appetizer and, wow. Such a sophisticated starter. It was, I think, 7 beautiful medallions of potato. Each was ever so slightly crisp on the outside with a gorgeous soft-firm interior that was like a mashed potato potato. Like a potato made of mashed potatoes. You just have to try it. They came in a beautiful orange sauce with slivers of roasted red onion, whole buttery cloves of garlic and walnuts for a bit of toothy crunch. This dish was developed with love. For my main I had the wagyu steak sandwich with cheese sauce and green onion dressing. Very, very good. Including spinach as a topping was so smart. A bit of bitter green made this feel, again, surprisingly sophisticated. The meat was genuinely rather tender and the sauces added creaminess and flavor, but nothing too strong. My one critique is that the bread got really soaked with the sauce which made it kind of a messy eating experience. The fries were also just meh, for me. Needed more seasoning. After two slam dunk dishes, I had to do dessert, so I grabbed a peach hand pie to go. They did it again!! It was gorgeous. Flaky pastry, just the right amount of salty, juicy but NOT mushy peaches. A fabulous end to a fantastic meal. Plus we had excellent seats alone out on the heated patio and our server was super patient and friendly as we chatted away and delayed reading the menu to decide what we wanted to eat. Discovered Greenwoods by driving by looking for the restaurant that used to be here. We decided to give it a try and are glad we did. Sat on the covered patio with wonderful views of the mountains. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The side salad was more than just your basic side salad, it was loaded with a variety of greens, goat feta, apples and more with a mustard vinaigrette. It was delicious and very refreshing. The smash burger was cooked perfectly and was very tasty as was the pulled pork sandwich. The fries were nice and crisp with just the right amount of seasoning. read more

I spent a chunk of life in North Georgia and fell in love with southern style cooking. I was surprised to see collard greens on the menu in my home state of Colorado until I learned that the chef is from Roswell, GA! Loved my veggie plate, and the hubby loved his meat and two. We got the smash burger and fried chicken and were disappointed with both. The fries that came with the burger was the star. The burger itself didn't look like it had been smashed on a flat top and the bun wasn't toasted. The fried chicken wasn't bad but the mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese had zero seasoning. It could not have been more than 1/8 of a pound and for $17.00 I really expected a little more burger. It did taste good though. My wife's chicken sandwich was also very good. We stopped by Greenwoods on the Fourth of July. Our waitress Marley was on her game! She suggested the smash burger and that it's amazing if we double it. It was so good and juicy and comes with what looks to be hand cut fries. We also had a side of wings, and although they were small, they were super crispy and yummy. We will definitely be back! My catfish was raw and the waiter brought it to the owners attention so he could see it as well and he just said sorry and walked away. They brought me something else instead which was nice. What a great spot to grab a bite in Ridgeway! I love the options for seating whether it be indoor or outdoor! The staff were very kind and made sure we had a great time. It was raining when we went but the covered patio made it a breeze to sit outside and enjoy the rain while staying dry. 10/10. i've been here maybe four times now, and every time it's a great meal. the only con is from about a year ago, portions have gotten a little smaller (namely the potato dumplings) but the taste is still fantastic. the menu does change a little seasonally but basically the same throughout the year. they do a pick a protein and two sides for $18-20 now until 5 pm which is a great deal. the biggest surprise from this meal was the dessert ! a beautiful short bread biscuit with mixed berries and just enough vanilla ice cream. the service is fantastic, the patio seating is pleasant, and it's right next to the hotel palomino. we heard the chef was going to open a restaurant in grand junction. please do it !!!!!! read more

An absolute favorite addition to the Ridgway food scene! The service is friendly. The food is incredible and you can find something for everyone on the menu. They have generous hours. What a great vibe. Their butternut squash soup is like liquid gold. Their burgers are some of the best around and their veggie plate is exquisite. My daughter was getting married in Ridgway in October 2024...due to some unfortunate circumstances the place we had reserved to host a mixer for 40 people the night before the wedding..closed...fell thru and neglected to call me. Panic!! Marty, Chef Bill, Parker and the rest of Marty's team (with a great intro from Jarrad Lee) in less than 24 hours were able to carve out a full menu for us, enough warm seating, a special printed menu and of course cocktails! Food was great! Service awesome! Everything was on time, extra food had to be ordered that night (we got some big eaters and it was so good) It came out hot & fast.
