Warm bread, cold martini, delicious prime rib, friendly service and live music... what else could you want?! Thanks, Outlaw!

First night in Ouray we stopped here, very good prime rib and potato. Salad was ok, a little warm. Bread was very good. Husband got ribeye, no complaints. Service was great and waitress was nice. There was a piano player inside.

Piano player and Bar Grill. Best place in Ouray. Gabby is the best bartender and the steaks are the best ever!

Best steak house in Ouray and best experience with the piano player. Gabby is the best bartender by far, a pleasure. You will not be disappointed.

After an epic day of hiking in Ouray and driving the Million Dollar Highway, a gargantuan sized dinner was desperately needed. The Outlaw Restaurant came highly recommended. Located right off the main drag in Ouray, this place is blessed with a storied past all while doing it the old school way. Colorado mountain vibes are extremely evident when you walk in. It's really a Western-style saloon with an emphasis on its restaurant at the forefront. When we dined in we were graced with a live piano player who played classic hits throughout our meal. *Keep in mind, this is a nicer dining establishment than it appears from the road. We were slightly soaked from the rain after our long hike, however the staff didn't' bat an eye at all. I really appreciated that because I felt like I was dressed way down comparatively to the guests in the dining room.* Diamond Jim Brady Cut 12 oz ($43) // Served with garlic mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. Prime Rib was cooked well and the horseradish and jus it was served with was excellent. I did ask for medium rare and this came out more medium. Post hike, does it matter? I devoured the whole thing! The bar, the atmosphere, the history...all of it makes sense in the old mining town of Ouray. Great dinner in a lively environment, I'd totally come back for dinner when back in town!

This place is a must try when you're in town! It's got that unique history and style to it.. fits the town completely. So fun to even have a piano man playing old timey tunes. We sat at the bar & service was super friendly, helpful at recommending, and quick at refills. You also might get the chance to meet locals who will give you some fun banter. The food is amazing!!! Local meat, great flavor and perfectly cooked!!! Can't be beat

A Proper Old Fashion in horse hoof glass

Best Old Fashion we have had in a year! Except the one they accidentally made with dirty martini mix.. Told them they should name that one just "Old and Dirty"! They fixed me up with an proper old fashion. Fun place and staff with local color and history added.

Such a fun vibe! Busy but not too loud. Food (trout) and service were also excellent.

Great food and ton of character. Had a piano player offering live music. Added to the atmosphere of the decor and theme of the restaurant.

My buddy had a cocktail which he didn't really care for, but that was just personal taste reasons. The service was slow, even though they were running around like crazy. They seemed understaffed, but I'm not really sure it seemed like they were just inefficient. The staff was stressed and not real friendly, but not rude either. I also ordered the zucchini fried strips for an appetizer they were OK. They brought out the smallest little dip of ranch dressing to go with them. I think I've ever seen. I believe for the pizza, the water and the drink and the appetizer it all came out to about $70 with tip. Which is about average in this town, but dang that seems high to me. Now the pizza was really good and for two of us, we couldn't finish at all so that's a good thing. We did take three pieces back to our cabin to finish up the next morning for breakfast. I love cold pizza for breakfast. It's weird. I know that I love it lol . Would I go back to this place? Yeah I think so. Other times I've been in town. I've noticed this place is always packed and people are always waiting outside so I probably would not stand in line for this restaurant.
