We didn't actually eat indoors but we ordered take out here and it was so good! We ordered not too long before they were set to close for the night so we grabbed it for take out instead and were not disappointed. The steak was perfectly cooked and the roasted veggies were SO good! I was a huge fan of the salads here and the grilled shrimp on the side was perfectly seasoned as well. My husband and I dined here for dinner while RV camping at Ouray Riverside Resort. Based on the reviews here, I was careful to not set my expectations too high. The restaurant was rustic and cozy, which was what I expected. The service was prompt and courteous. I told our server that I wanted med rare and definitely not the end cap. I've actually had that happen before. My husband ordered his rare. So, I've had lots of prime rib before and it's one of my favorite cuts of meat. This was PERFECTLY cooked and exactly what I was expecting! It had an herb crust and the cooking process made the rosemary crispy and flavorful. Perfect with the richness of the meat. It was juicy, very tender and not too salty. I had it with the horseradish and jus and I was in heaven! Not to be outdone by the prime rib are the sides. I got the garlic mashed potato and side of green beans and they were both excellent! Mashed potato was creamy and smooth with just the right amount of salt, garlic and butter. The green beans looked like they were air fried. They were tender on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside and also perfectly seasoned. Even the slice of orange was sweet and ripe. Every single item on my plate was excellent! My husband and I are into fine dining and this dish was better than or equal to many other, much more expensive restaurants, without the fancy interior. It really was the best prime rib we've ever had. There is nothing we would have changed about our meal. It was THAT good! Another bonus was that the chef came out and asked each table how their meal was. Whenever a restaurant does this, it really shows they care about the diners and it's the perfect opportunity to tell them how your meal was, good or bad, and giving them a chance to make it right, instead of leaving a negative review. I know we will return on one of our RV trips, as this restaurant is about 6 hours away from our home. In the meantime, I'll be dreaming about my perfect prime rib meal from here. read more

This very small Cafe is located within the RV resort that we visited for three days with our travel trailer. It was fun to get the prime rib dinner as "take-out" to enjoy in our rv. The prime rib was cooked very nicely and served with a baked potato and fresh green beans. Unfortunately, the green beans were not only un-cooked, they were not trimmed and even still had stems attached. Regardless of that, the meal was good and the staff was very pleasant and hospitable. Surprising for an RV camp restaurant! Our chef and waiter for dinner, Nathan, was delightful and brilliant. The smoked brisket he made was juicy and flavorful. We stayed at the hotel here so breakfast was included. We were pleasantly surprised by the buffet for breakfast. Bacon, sausage and a variety of other things. The fresh waffle was great! The guys who are running breakfast from the kitchen are friendly and keeping it clean and tasty. It was really refreshing to see two people who seem to enjoy their jobs. All I can say is WOW!!! We rode our motorcycle from Flagstaff to Ouray and because we hadn't eaten in 9 hours, all we cared about is eating at the closest plast possible, and Ouray Cafe was only 600 feet away, so away we went...we were surprised that it was located in an RV park, but the service, food and atmosphere were 5 star!! My husband had the pork chop, and we both agreed, it was the best we have ever had! I had the wild mushroom ravioli and it was so rich and luxurious, exactly what I needed after a long day of riding. The triple chocolate brownie for dessert was so decadent and delicious, the perfect end to a perfect meal! Oh and the cherry on top..1/2 of drinks until 6:00 for Happy Hour..on a SATURDAY! We ate this incredible dinner and had dessert and two IPA's each and our bill was under $100, I still can't believe it!! What a wonderful restaurant behind the Timber Ridge lodge. We were recommended by the lodge and we had a 25% discount. We are so happy we used it. Nice place. Clean. Friendly staff. Horrendous wait. Food is marginal at best. They're serving brisket and have no idea what the difference between wet and dry is. What they call 1/2 lb of brisket is maybe 1/4 lb on a good day. Overpriced to boot. The Mac and cheese is bland, potatoes are bland. Started with breakfast. Ordered biscuits and gravy at 10:30 AM. First no biscuits. Then no gravy. So much for breakfast. We left. Tried dinner tonight. We split a prime rib special. It was a lot of meat. Personally, I would have slow roasted under rock salt. It was a a large cut of roast beef. No seasoning except dipping sauce. Wanted medium rare, but got the first end cut which was well done and not far trimmed. Desert was good! Response back: The customer in a service industry does not need to be trained or instructed as to why their fare was substandard or items non existent. $32.94 per plate plus tax speak for itself. A customer who has to deal with it a second day is its own answer to you. read more

The wild mushroom ravioli is a MUST. We ate at several places during our week long summer vacation to Colorado and this was by far my favorite meal. To think I was kind of apprehensive about coming here but we were wiped out from hiking all day in Telluride so figured eh why not try the cafe next to our hotel instead of heading into Ouray and having to wait somewhere to be seated like we did the night before. Service was excellent, very nice patio setup and inside was great. Menu doesn't have a ton of options but that's fine, just means what they have they are great at making in my opinion. My companion had the steak which he said was excellent and I had the ravioli which was awesome. We even returned for the breakfast buffet before leaving town. It was good, adequate, it's a buffet so can't really say much more but if you're staying at the resort, dinner here is a must and nice trail along the river to walk it off as well :) read more

Given that there aren't many breakfast joints in town I was excited to see this place open up. Sadly, it's really bad food and even worse service (but I am mainly basing the review on how bad the food and coffee was/is). The coffee was like what you'd find at a cheap motel, watery and just kind of gross. The food is priced cheap which is enticing in a mountain town, but alas it's still not worth the price. It's the kind do place that doesn't fully cook the hash browns and a sunny side up egg comes over easy. Everything felt a little sloppy and generally didn't have any flavor.
