Honestly, I have never had a bad photo and never had an issue with products. Martha is patient with even the worst behaved dogs. She manages to get them to look at the camera and cooperate when I thought it was beyond impossible. Not only is Martha an excellent photographer, but she has a heart for rescued animals and donates much of her time and her photos to help animals in rescue find the new homes that they deserve. The experience was rushed the helpers lacked experience with pets but we overlooked it thinking the pictures would be worth it. After paying a ridiculous amount on prints and cards, since they weren't offering rights to the pictures, we waited for the pictures to arrive. I got a notification when they were ready for pickup so I drove 45 minutes to pick them up after being told that they would be at the location of the photo shoot. Turns out they weren't there. After runaround from the store and photographer who she had called I went home annoyed. Then Martha told me she would drop them off at our house. She did and half of our order was missing! Thankfully the cards turned out cute so I let the disaster go. This year I decided to try again. BIG MISTAKE. I used the website to book an appointment at 1130 at milo and me and got the confirmation email. On that day, after lugging three dogs and a cat to said location, ( no easy task) I was met by the store owner who notified me that pictures for Santa wouldn't be there until 230!!!! I called Martha who was very rude to me and she said no we are at another location. So we drove there. When we got there she gave no apology treated me like I was lying and started with the photo shoot. It was rushed, cramped and much like her attitude extremely unprofessional. I bought the rights to the photos and wanted to order Christmas cards. I was told to call her on Monday to order those. I did and was assured they would be here before Christmas. When I got the cards they looked horrible!! So bad I couldn't even use them. Not the right photos and in the middle the picture was cut off and turned the wrong way! No year was on the card either. They looked like a card a child made at a Walmart kiosk! I messaged Martha and was not offered an apology an explanation or anything. True to form very rude and unprofessional. All she said was send them back for a refund! Real nice! I don't recommend her at all. I even question whether or not it's a registered legitimate business. Stay clear of this mess and find a real photographer!

She was an absolute dream to work with; professional, kind, incredibly talented, and affordably priced. Her photography is stunning. Every moment she captures feels natural, authentic, and full of emotion. We were blown away by our engagement photos, she even climbed down the rocks by a small waterfall with us just to get the perfect shot! That same level of dedication carried through to our wedding day, where she went above and beyond in every way imaginable! Not only did she beautifully capture every detail and meaningful moment, but she also brought such a calm, supportive energy to the day. Hannah was hands-on and happy to help in every way, whether it was placing flowers on the cake with my mom last minute or coordinating timeline changes with our other vendors before and after the ceremony. I truly don't know how we would have managed the day without her! She is so much more than a photographer alone, she's someone you'll be thankful to have by your side on one of the most important days of your life! Patience with anxious dogs and following directions given by owners. My American Eskimo Australian…read moreShepherd mix is a rescue with acute anxiety issues. I explained that she needed constant reassurance and responded well to talking and petting, but she didn't respond well to be rushed or ganged up on like some salons do. She said they would do their best and kinda quit listening while worked with something on the desk. In about 2 hours received a text saying my dog done and we could pick her up, As soon as we were at the desk paying the girl stated our dog who I had told them was anxious tried to bite the groomer. I guess despite telling them that she had acute anxiety and needed lots of reassurance they overlooked that! My dog's cut was ok at first but, upon closer looks her cut was irregular. The left was cut and it was nice, but the right side was only washed and brushed. It wasn't trimmed like the other side. The girl suggested that the next time she has to get her hair trimmed, give her CPDs! My dog is NOT a biter and is not aggressive if given verbal reassurance and talked to by a confident person. So if you have a dog that has anxiety issues or fear, I unfortunately can't recommend The Barker Shop!

Took my Bernese Mountain dog here for the first time. The staff were really friendly and seemed to…read morework well with my dog. I set up an appointment online, but received a phone call because the appointment slot I made was not for a large dog. They got her in even sooner for a bath and brush only. We have never trimmed our Bernese Mountain dog ever because we enjoy her long hair and it's winter. We dropped her off and went shopping. Surprisingly they called early and said she was ready to pick up. She is always so excited when we pick her up so we didn't notice anything, but when we got home we noticed she had been fully trimmed. We were very disappointed that our long haired girl received a full trim for the very first time. Even her five inch long belly hair was shaved to a stubble and all of her long hair on her feet was gone. So I called to let the owner/manager know. She was apologetic and offered some money back but we didn't pay for a full haircut so I just wanted to let her know that we didn't receive what we had initially requested. The trim looked good, it's just not what we wanted. We will take our furry baby back there, but will make sure next time it's clearly understood what is wanted.
