First my dental hygienist had an attitude like I came to her house uninvited. She proceeded to ask me questions about my life that I didn't want to answer. If I had kids, what's my job, what do I do. Then she told me "I've seen your husband last time" she made a bold statement. First of all that's impossible because he died 3 years ago. But to make a bold statement like this I was mortified. First of all she didn't know me, let alone know if I was married or not. And to claim she saw my husband. I told her I wasn't married. I was sitting in the chair just mortified. While she proceeded to chisel at my teeth with tools like she was sculpting marble in my mouth. It was so painful. I almost cried and I was having bad anxiety to almost. A full blown panic attack. My gun were bleeding, my jaw was hurting, and my mental too. I was just baffled and confused at the last of professionalism and arrogance of her statements and lack of privacy and compassion. This person shouldn't be practicing in this office. I will never EVER over my dead body be back and I won't recommend anyone to go there.

In fact, I've gotten a few calls in the past from a receptionist calling to see if I want to book my next cleaning because it's been a while (as a full-time student, I often didn't book my next one because I had no clue what my schedule was going to look like six months out). They would call to say it's time and that they were holding a spot for me if I wanted it. I thought that was fantastic customer service. There was also a time something went funky with the insurance and I had to call my mom to come over (young adult still on parents' insurance- sue me), and they were very understanding in my being flustered and confused. Dr. Larry Pauley originally purchased his practice from a family friend of mine in the early 2000's. Our family friend had been my dentist since birth, and since I value my teeth, I was initially concerned with having a new practitioner. However, I, along with the rest of my family, have been overly impressed with the services offered by Dr. Pauley. Getting an appointment with him is a breeze; the office staff is extraordinarily friendly and organized; his dental assistants and hygienists are dedicated professionals, and the practice seems to incorporate all the latest dental technologies. Dr. Pauley seems to know all of his patients--and he goes out of his way to make sure that they are satisfied with the level of care which they receive. To my knowledge, Carmel Advanced Dentistry accepts most major dental plans. When the cost of services is beyond the scope of insurance coverage (in other words, when the patient has to pay out-of-pocket), the practice does not overcharge. I also know, from personal experience, that Carmel Advanced Dentistry makes every effort to establish a reasonable payment plan with their patients if they are unable to satisfy their entire bill at the point of service.
