Very Happy! I don't leave many reviews online but wanted to take moment to comment here. Greystone had poured a stamped concrete patio for us at a prior home about 15 years ago. When we sold it a couple years back it was still in great shape without defect, so we knew we wanted to get them to quote again for this project. As I looked online, I saw a couple reviews that gave me pause as it appeared that in recent years Greystone quality had gone downhill. We received multiple estimates for our project (patio and walls surrounding our new pool house) from several well-known companies. Greystone's proposal price was right in the middle. I met with Luisa (owner) and Melissa (project manager) several times to go over the project detail and voice my concerns about what I had recently read online and stressed that quality was very important to me. They acknowledged there had been some difficulty during the COVID years and that they were making a huge, concerted effort to increase customer satisfaction. We decided to go with Greystone, and don't regret it for a second. Communications with both the office and the onsite work supervisor was great. Dan (owner) was at the worksite on a couple occasions to make sure the project kicked-off right and was back for the pour. Greystone was able to find engineered stone that matched my existing stone wall in both style and color (they had not done the previous pool area work at this house). The masons matched pattern and tied the new concrete work into the existing pool patio in an integrated and seamless fashion. I'm very detail oriented and Greystone's finishers addressed all my concerns -- which were really no more than a few blemishes. My family is very happy with the result and would definitely use Greystone again. If you're considering stamped concrete work or a retaining wall, I definitely recommend giving Luisa and Melissa a call to discuss your project.

Their customer service doesn't even deserve a star. We had a walkway done, which was delayed a few weeks, but they took down the awning post and cut our gutter and left us in this condition for 2 huge storms. This of course caused flooding in our walkway which seeped into our basement and caused more issues. They came back to fix this a week or so later, but left huge holes in the ground where the pipe openings were placed in the middle of the walkway. We've called everyday for now two weeks and no one has called or emailed us back. We can't imagine why since we haven't paid the last installment yet. I'm sure we will miraculously end up at collections, which we have picture documentation of incomplete services and daily calls and emails to get this resolved. I'm not even asking for damages to the basement, just to properly finish the job! If we could work with just the laborers that came out, I would have them do other jobs because they did put in a nice walkway. But the management and non-existing customer service is not worth your hard earned dollars!

Bottom Line: Greystone Masonry did an outstanding job on my stamped concrete patio.

Bottom Line: Greystone Masonry did an outstanding job on my stamped concrete patio. Luisa basically designed the patio area to conform to my deck above and to meet my other requirements. Dan was top notched. His professionalism is beyond reproach. Now the one item you need to know is when you think they're almost done with the patio because the last thing they need to do is seal it, this is not the case. Dan sends a crew to bring out the lines, fill in any requirements...to do the finishing touches. When the sealant dries, your patio is perfect.

Not even sure where to start...The pictures will speak volumes as to the careless workmanship of Greystone. My Job, which was not the cheapest estimate BTW, started the first of December and here is the end of March and still don't have resolution. I wish to God I had given more credit to the reviews and now here I am joining the ranks of screwed customers. First, within the first 30 minutes of demolition they destroyed a garden that was in the drawing and contract to remain untouched. My husband went out two times demanding they stop but not a soul on the job spoke English. I understand that the part of my yard they were working in would be disturbed but they destroyed my entire back yard. Their 1st bobcat broke down and they pushed it to a part of my yard they weren't even supposed to be in and it proceed to leak diesel fuel into my yard. Then they backed a dump truck to the edge of my one year old driveway and broke it, that's right broke it. They took our fence apart and busted it up. Then they drug the bobcat with the dumptruck across my backyard leaving deep ruts for about 30 feet, parked it on the driveway and it poured more diesel fuel unto the driveway which pitted it really bad. This must be a common occurrence with them because please read carefully their ambiguous contract which says they won't be responsible for driveways. My backyard was nothing but a mud pit and my husband and I spent all new years day trying to get it where our dog could use the yard without sinking in the mud. We fixed the fence ourselves also. The owner is rude and cantankerous and his staff is irrelevant, you can call over and over and over and no one ever knows what you're talking about, like they don't communicate with each-other. We scheduled a 3 pm appointment for the owner to come talk to us and see the mess on a Friday afternoon. My husband lost a day of work to be there and at 3:30 I called asking where the owner was and he got on the phone and said he didn't know anything about it even though we confirmed it by email. I have sent numerous emails trying to get resolution and one time the owner will say he will do one thing and then change his mind the next. The patio itself turned out good but it just wasn't worth the damage and aggravation left behind, would never ever recommend these people. My next door neighbors had an equally large project they wanted to get done and they won't be hiring Greystone after seeing our fiasco.

The project included removing the old asphalt and installing a new base and asphalt layer. There were some delays in starting the project, and during the work we were informed there was more asphalt from our old driveway to be removed than originally estimated, resulting in an additional $3,000 cost. After completion, we noticed a small area of the new driveway where the asphalt had an imperfection - a small area was crumbling. We documented the issue with photos and called Immanuel to ask not just about repairing it, but also to learn what might have caused it, and how could we prevent it going forward. So we were looking for guidance as new driveway owners. However, what we thought was a small issue escalated unexpectedly because Immanuel responded in a very defensive and aggressive manner. It left us with the impression he wasn't at all interested in looking after the customer after the initial work was done and payment received. So the work was of decent quality and a good value, but the communications were problematic. We would have appreciated more collaborative and solution-focused communication. UPDATE May 18: The day after this initial review was posted, Immanuel contacted us. In a few days he was able to come by and fix the small area and answer our questions in a short time, which is all we wanted in the first place. We parted peacefully, but we'll hire another contractor to do our next sealing and maintenance visits.

In 2021 they completed a waterproofing project which carries a 12 year warranty, and in 2022 they completed a patio installation which carries a 5 year warranty. As of April 22, 2026, VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions has not provided a solution to either of these problems. Our foundation wall was bowed before VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions excavated and waterproofed our home in 2021. We showed the bowed wall to VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions before the excavation began, and they recommended proceeding with the project without reinforcing the wall. We began to see small cracks in the foundation wall shortly after VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions completed the waterproofing. We showed the cracked wall to VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions before they installed our patio in 2022. VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions assured us that the cracks were not a problem. However, the cracks have grown substantially since then, and an independent structural engineer has confirmed that the wall is failing. In addition, the patio is sinking, the exterior waterproofing membrane is slipping, and there is a damp smell in our home near the cracked wall. In order to provide access to the cracked foundation wall for repairs, our patio will have to be removed, and the exterior of our home will have to be excavated again. Once the engineer's recommended repairs have been completed, the wall will have to be waterproofed again, and our yard will have to be regraded again. Finally, our patio will have to be reinstalled. We paid VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions to do all of this work in 2021 and 2022 because we trusted their professional opinion about our foundation wall. We now have to pay another contractor to do all of this work again so that our foundation wall can be reinforced. VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions has stated that they will not honor the warranty on the waterproofing project because the man who estimated the project is no longer employed by VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions. They have not provided details about how they will honor the warranty on the patio installation. We will update our review if VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions honors the warranties on their work. In the meantime, we cannot recommend VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions.
