Credit must be given for bringing something good to the neighborhood, but this spot doesn't seem to be able to reach the level of excitement you will ever find in a spot on the LES or West Village. Additionally it would be best to have a corporate expense account while coming. Each dish was good, no dish was overwhelmingly good. The salads are really unique and tasty, the salmon perfectly executed, and the pasta very tasty. It lacks heart, but it does achieve what you would expect from Dan Kluger. Good food. I came here on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was very busy. There were 3 of us having dinner. They have a lower level that is really nice, there's a full bar, fireplace, and a lounge. The restrooms are private and very clean. The main level has another bar with bar tables, a main dining room and a separate cafe for coffee, tea and other foods. The food was very good although most portions are small. Prices are typically for Manhattan, our wait staff was courteous, professional and were attentive. They had a $60 restaurant week menu that runs from January 20th - February 12th 2026. Some of the regular dishes had some cool names. For starters we had the monkey bread which is made from croissant dough, we also had the tuna tarte which was pretty good. We also had the roasted beet salad which was my favorite. For the main course had the salmon, the sea bass, the burger with a side of roasted veg. For desert we had the sundae which was a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a chocolate shell that it sits on with 3 different dipping sauces and gummy bears. They have a very good bar. There are premium liquors, a good wine and beer selection. I would recommend them and will probably go back. read more

For 4, the earliest reservation we could get booking one night prior? 8pm. Hostess was kind and professional, as were the bartenders and waitstaff. Although we arrived a bit before our reservation time and were seated about 20 after, our decadent experience melted away any minor inconvenience the delay may have caused. Cocktails: As tequila is our preference, we loved the Daisy cocktail - the primary focus was beet forward but made well with mijenta tequila. Small plates: Ooh, out of monkey bread (wah wah), so we got the carrot hummus, bluefin tuna, and focaccia. All three were absolutely delicious that it was hard to choose a favorite. We were also treated with an order of crispy potatoes, which were decadent in every bite. Mains: I got the Black Sea Bass, my husband got the scallops with cashew chili, and our friends got the maple pork chop and the half chicken. It goes without saying that we finished every bite, though my personal favorite was the scallops, hands-down. Sides: Omg the cornbread. It's basically dessert! ...oh so good. The cauliflower was also fantastic, too, but...on the healthier side. And although we were already stuffed,... Yep, we tried dessert. Coconut Sorbet / mini brownie and the toasted marshmallow/chocolate souflee - both were truly flavorful. Even the hot tea was fresh mint tea leaves in a French tea press of sorts - truly an incredible experience from start to finish. Despite my terrible timing to visit Greywind for a glass of Cabernet and a small bite while seated at the bar on a recent Monday evening at the same time as a holiday gathering was in full swing (including lots of "enthusiastic" private equity bros), Kennedy, my server, was understanding and handled the situation responsibly and professionally. We were disappointed that this was a pretty average experience. We found the food to be incredibly overpriced for what it was- it's honestly crazy that the homemade Cheez-its were $13 for literally five cheese crackers. The garlic monkey bread was good, but not outstanding. The butternut squash focaccia was a bit off-putting- it came out and the ricotta on top was ice cold. I don't think I've ever had cold focaccia before, and it wasn't a pleasant texture or temperature for the dish. The crispy potatoes at least were excellent- hard to mess those up! For dessert, we tried the brown butter apple cake which had an almost sour/savory note in it that we weren't expecting. The bright spot in our experience was the service- our server was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our cocktails, but weren't impressed with the selections on the wine list, all of which also seemed really pricey per glass. I was pleasantly surprised by the chicken liver. I've never enjoyed liver of any kind, but it was recommended by a friendly customer to my right. He was right, it was delicious. The huge cheeze-itz did not disappoint. Flavorful and fun to eat. My daughter and I both had the Ore King Salmon and it was the best tasting salmon we've had in a very long time. The mix of flavors of the pickled corn, gooseberries, and mini greens added to the experience. Do not miss out on the Dark Chocolate Tart. This is coming from someone who isn't a big fan of chocolate. I know that sounds a bit crazy to you. Who doesn't like chocolate. This dessert made me a believer. Excellent choice in the Prosecco. The art was also perfectly curated and my favorite is the mushroom art on the way to the bathroom. Look carefully otherwise you may miss the mushrooms. Our server took the experience to another level. He recommended specific items that he loved and he was right about all of them. The ambience was warm and elegance. Beautiful, modern American restaurant. Ground floor has a restaurant and bar while the basement level has a speakeasy. We reserved a table for seven at 5 PM and were seated soon after arrival. Just a couple beers on draft and a few wines by the glass. Beverage wise, it seemed the focus was on cocktails. We started off by sharing a bunch of snacks and a side for appetizers. We had the large, house made cheez-its. It was a jocular item that was fun to order. It was good, but ultimately just a large cheese cracker. We also had the crispy potatoes, the cornbread, the butternut squash focaccia, and the monkey bread. My favorite of the group was the crispy potatoes. They were well seasoned and were very crispy. For the main course, I had the shepherds pie. It was hearty and filling. In retrospect, I think it was have been great to share. I was stuffed for hours after it. Service was attentive throughout the night. Pacing of the dishes was perfect. The meals we opted for was the classic burger with a au pouive mayo, cheese and house made chips. The chips were interesting very herb forward and almost fully green. This was also served with fries. We also got the mushroom pasta. It was sheet pasta with a super savory mushroom sauce and crispy mushrooms on top. The dish was delicious and different. Overpriced, bad food: I didn't like anything I ordered except the excellent monkey bread and my mocktail. My vegetarian "schnitzel" entree was neither a schnitzel nor an entree. It was three small hash browns, basically, swimming in a too vinegary mustard sauce and covered by snap peas that were also very vinegary. I ate maybe 4 bites and stopped. The carrot hummus had the consistency of baby food. Weird service: Our waiter took our order and basically disappeared. One of the servers asked if she could take away our dishes that we clearly weren't done with so she could bring out our entrees, which we were not ready for. We looked at her dumbfounded and said no. When we were finished, we were unattended to for 15 minutes before anyone took our plates away. Phenomenal restaurant in Hudson Yards. Finally came after walking past many times, and needless to say the experience was not disappointing. I even dressed up a little bit to celebrate the occasion. We came with a friend for the early seating at 5:30pm on a Friday, arriving a little early to have a drink at the bar. Even though the place was effectively 'dead' right at opening (530) it quickly filled up so that by 6pm every table was occupied and the place was popping. I really enjoy the upscale, sophisticated atmosphere - it's certainly the type of place you can go to impress your date. We had several servers throughout the night, all were fantastic and friendly. Major shout out to the bartender who creates some delicious cocktails. Only note is they tended to be sweeter, so if you're not into a sweet drink, let him know before he makes it. Food selections were terrific. We started with the homemade seeded sourdough bread that comes with salt-covered butter. Yum. - Baby Lettuce with Tahini --- delicious, highly recommend. - Grilled Louisiana Shrimp --- awesome, and even subbed parsley for cilantro. - Chicken Liver Pate --- my favorite of the night, amazing!!! - Halibut Entree --- awesome, this changes day to day. Good portion size - not too big or too small - Diver Scallops --- incredible, buttery, soft, chewy. Only wish they served more. - Duroc Pork Chop --- large size so perfect for sharing. Just serve it with ice cubes, guys. The bad: - The front door: As others have noted, it's massive and way too heavy. I power lift--it wasn't hard for me to open, but it would definitely be hard for some weaker or someone trying to open it against strong winds. - The high-top tables right in front of the door: Don't seat people here, especially on a windy day. Every time the door opened, it blew a huge gust against us and sent the menus flying across the room. This happened at least 6 times before we were finally allowed to change tables. - The service: I had to ask three times to move away from the high-top described above before we were finally allowed to move. The restaurant was 90% empty including the entire high-top section (we had arrived right at opening at 5:30pm), yet our server kept saying he had to check with the manager or something incomprehensible like that. Greywind is a beautiful restaurant near Hudson Yards featuring fresh and seasonal fare. I can't get over the decor and vibes here: so clean, modern, and airy. We dined on the spring 2024 menu. The Americano Spritz to drink was amazing: so refreshing and bubbly. We also really liked their Lemon Drop Martini (sweet and strong). We tried a few items for food: -Cheese-itz: one of their most viral items so we had to try. Were they good? Yes. Would I order again? Probably not. -Cornbread: I'm still not over it-this was the perfect cornbread-sweet with a honey butter that has just a touch of saltiness to balance. -Seasonal Focaccia: LOVE. This season's featured rhubarb jam and ricotta and was a winner in my book. -Crispy Potatoes: such a creative take on a classic potato-loved the mix of regular and sweet potatoes here. -Housemade Spaghetti & Pesto: this was nice, but could have used more salt. You have to love a chef who creates a crispy vegan "Schnitzel" from celery root. It was delicious served alongside half-moons of roasted Delicata squash with a lovely light slaw of shredded Brussels sprouts and radishes all in the lightest mustardy dressing. (It also can come with chilies but I opted out of the heat since I'm a big mustard fan.) And it was a big serving so I brought half home for lunch the next day. I had their special Rose Julep cocktail, which was way too drinkable. (I had two.) We filled up on the Cheeze-its (huge and very crispy, my husband liked them more than I did) and the cornbread, which we fought over -- so moist it was almost like cake. Really, really good. I requested a seat sort of in the corner or away from the general crowd bc I'm immunocompromised and didn't want to be in the middle of a crowded dining room and they were able to accommodate. I want to drink that dressing by the bowl, it was so flavorful and you really get the flavor of ramps. Unlike some places that say ramp blah blah blah and I'm like ummm I don't taste any ramp anywhere, which is hard bc it's a strong dominant flavor. Focaccia was fluffy full of flavor and that house made ricotta was creamy goodness I tried a piece of the burger and I still can't understand how they kept the potato chip in there crunchy with all that sauce on it. My partner says it was too salty and needed a sweet element but I only had a bite and didn't notice over saltiness. Sugar snap peas came in a giant bowl and we took leftovers home, Dan kluger's got this magical skill that makes veggies the shining star and taste like heaven.
