Then today, July 5th, my husband and our two boys went back for lunch. One of the owners sat down and spent time talking with my son, who struggles with a disability. In all our years, very few people have taken the time to truly sit down, listen, and encourage him the way he did. This owner shared some of his own struggles and told my sweet boy, "Keep fighting. God has you." Those words meant more than he will ever know. Kindness like that is rare, and it made a lasting impact on our family. Small, unseasoned boiled shrimp on a pile of lettuce. After being boiled with no seasoning, the shrimp are then heavily coated with red pepper (or maybe Cajun seasoning). And the remoulade sauce is in small condiment cups on the side - barely enough to dress the salad. But most of the food here is pretty good (the burgers are massive), and most plates come with enough for some extra to take home.
