This place is a small hole in the wall joint in a strip mall. They serve daily plate specials was well as a standard menu of burgers and po boys. The food here is pretty good and fairly cheap. The burgers are made with real meat and hand formed. No frozen burger patties. The portions are pretty big, so don't order the double burger unless your REALLY hungry. Sides are also offered: fried okra, French fries, onion rings, poppers (all frozen and fried). There are also daily special sides like spaghetti and cheese on the café bar. Positives: The burger was really good. Fresh and juicy. The spaghetti and cheese was AWESOME. I'd get this again. Servers were very friendly and prices cheap. Negatives: The sodas were all flat, they were out of over 1/2 the sides (at noon), my order was not correct and it took three trips to the counter to get all of my order. I'd go back for the food, not order a drink, and have low expecations for the service.

Location: Louisiana I traveled to Louisiana to see a friend and celebrate Mardi Gras, he took me here when I said I wanted some good cooking, and this place did not disappoint. Some soul food for sure. Family owned spot and parking shouldn't be too much of a problem, located in a mini mall. When you first walk in, picture a deli type set up, just like subway has it with tables all around. The main kitchen is in the back and its family owned. It was cool seeing the owner with his sons helping him run the business. Really friendly guy who we got to share a couple of words with. Said he had visited San Diego with his family over in the Lemon Grove area. Small world. Great service and good quality food. Deep fried, but great deep fried dishes. haha. We went HAM on our orders. Shared our plates with the four of us. Southern comfort and food coma for sure. I ordered their seafood combo plate. Soooooo good. It came with toast, fried cat fish, fried shrimp on top of a bed of french fries. and ordered a side of fried chicken. Delicious. We also got Hush puppies, green beans, pork loin over smothered mashed potatoes & gravy, hot link po boy, corn, and fried okra. One of the best meals I've had as a traveler. I love these mom & pop shops over the fancy industrial owned business. More love in their food if anything. Definitely going back here if I'm ever back in Louisiana again.

Mrs renee gave us a sample of there mac and cheese and it was to die for by far the best had me hooked

We started out with an order of loaded fries and teas. Fries came quick and was plenty for two males who aren't afraid to eat. We didn't finish them. Loaded with cheese, bacon bits, ranch, HT special sauce and bacon bits. The tea was fresh made and was delicious. I had a burger/melt which had a 1/4 patty, grilled shrimp, grilled onions, sauce and cheese. It was big and piping hot when brought to the table with a side of cole slaw. Buddy had the crab patty burger. It was decent size with grilled veggies on the side. All food was phenomenal. He had been there before for drinks and remarked the atmosphere in the evenings is lively and the drinks at the bar are really good.

The ambience is amazing and our waitress was also very informal and patient with us we knew we wanted to try the crawfish because we heard so many good things about it but at the same time we weren't sure because we're very picky about crawfish anyways I give the crawfish a 10 out of 10. I will definitely be back very soon! They were seasoned to perfect perfection, juicy big and not hard at all. For my drink, I tried the frozen rum punch and it was also a 10 out of 10 it was very fruity, but not overpowering. Definitely hit the spot with my boiled crawfish.

We stopped in on the 4th of July for their amazing shakes. While we were there, one of the owners took the time to talk with my husband after learning why we were in town. Then today, July 5th, my husband and our two boys went back for lunch. One of the owners sat down and spent time talking with my son, who struggles with a disability. In all our years, very few people have taken the time to truly sit down, listen, and encourage him the way he did. This owner shared some of his own struggles and told my sweet boy, "Keep fighting. God has you." Those words meant more than he will ever know. Kindness like that is rare, and it made a lasting impact on our family. If you're ever in Gonzales, please stop by and show them the same love and support they showed my son. We are beyond grateful for the compassion, encouragement, and genuine kindness they gave our family.

And we got the kid's chicken tender meal. All came as ordered. The burgers were great - crispy on the edges like a good smash burger, I can't really describe the Mooyah sauce on the burgers other than to say it was delicious. Fries were good as well. And the chicken tender meal was really tasty, and plenty of food for a child. We finished with two shakes, which were tasty, though not extraordinary, Overall, a good spot for traditional burgers, fries, and shakes.

It's a family owned burger spot and the lady in the back is cranking out some delicious big smash burgers. Now I could have used a slight more seasoning on my patties but I'm sure I can request that next time. The burgers are big enough to share if you'd like. The fries portion is enough for two. Items are à la carte. If you want a juicy, handmade burger this is your spot.

The staff were friendly, they greeted every person that walked through the door. The way you order is through a touchscreen which was slightly confusing for us, but other than that, we had no issues with it. We each ordered a Smashburger and one side of fries to share. The fries came out divided, which was nice. The smash burgers were so good and left me pleasantly surprised after my first bite. The buns were perfectly, soft on the inside and toasted on the outside with butter. The meat was juicy and perfectly flavored. I recommend this place to all the burger lovers out there, and I'd love to see this business do something fun in the future, like offering a burger of the month!

They don't have a drive-through so I had to go inside. Being brand new, everything was nice and clean, but I was surprised that they didn't have more patrons. It was pretty obvious that the staff was not totally up to speed just yet; the light kitchen staff looked busy:, on the order side of the counter there were four or five employees standing around doing nothing; two ladies on the pick up side handled my entire order. The lady tried hard to make a milkshake for me, and it did taste good, but it was very thin. The burger was very good, but the Cajun fries were over seasoned (which is saying a lot, since I grew up around here and like things really spiced up) and soggy. I ate about half the fries, and after finishing the burger, it felt very heavy in my belly all night long. Maybe in a couple months I'll give them another try, but I'll be sure to tell them to make the fries extra crispy. I gave them one extra star for not using Styrofoam.
