Scenic 9 hole executive course. Good variety in hole layouts, some blind tee shots, dog legs, and hills. Walking only. They do have push carts available to rent before 1:30pm. Reservations required and they get gobbled up very quickly. Due to the location, views, and price it's one of the higher in demand local courses. While it's only an executive course the design does allow for interesting play and use most of your bag. Condition is pretty standard in comparison to the other LA public courses. The greens can be deceiving due to being in the hills. Great views around each bend of downtown and the observatory. Starters... seem to ignore helping guests at the window and cause delays for no good reason. - PACE OF PLAY ... They book all tee times with 5 golfers and "I0 minute" spacing. Especially on weekends if you do not start before 8:30am expect a grueling very long day. Hole 6 specifically is notorious for having a back up of multiple groups. Very narrow and lined with trees. The back up could be reduced if players only teed off once and took their loses with a drop. The course should reduce tee slots to 4 players only. I did also get the impression that a large amount of the clientele are not concerned with keeping pace or negatively impacting others rounds. Groups that are more than happy to be out there for an unnecessarily long time. - The cafe onsite has a good variety of good and beverages and plenty outdoor seating. If you have the chance to play an early tee time, I would say do it! The deduction in rating really comes from how crowded, slow and backed up the course becomes. All that can lead to tension and arguing on the course and disrupt your rhythm of play.

Tale of two tales, on one hand you have a exquisite scenic course and on the other you have a poorly managed course. Typical municipality, cares more about revenue generating than guest experience.1:30 tee time and didn't get to tee off until 2pm. Not only that, it took 3.5 hrs to play 9-holes.. no joke. 2-3 groups waiting every hole, Course allows 5 per group, full of hackers and no staff/marshal to keep the peace. Unless you have time to spare be aware of Westchester 2.0.

This is a great casual spot for golfing with friends. You also get a nice view of the observatory.

TL;DR Nice golf course, nice views, out in nature, gets backed up. The Course: The course itself is well maintained, and has some nice views to it. It is walking only and there are plenty of hills that you will have to trek. The downhill par 3 at the 9th hole is a nice way to finish after conquering the dog leg on the 8th hole. Saw deer, coyotes, and some bear droppings. Amenities/Service: They add 5ths to groups. Know this before coming or else you will find out when you start to pay. My group came to play on a Sunday and we got quite backed up. Location: Construction on LA streets really make it hard to get up here sometimes. Parking is not ideal, but you'll be able to find something in the area if you cannot find something at the course.

Sweet course with lots of character, and opportunities to hit nearly every club in your bag. Pace of play is slow, around 3 hours which is normal for LA city 9 holes. Friendly staff and good chicken Caesar wrap in the cafe.

Great public course! People are friendly and will let you play through or join. I like that there is a cafe. Greens were in good condition, bunkers were a bit rough. I played with just a putter, sand, 8, 5 iron and had a blast, went around twice because it was empty! Not super long, but it is very narrow on some holes. 9 holes total. Had some views of DTLA and Observatory too

This course is currently my favorite 9 hole - each course is large and very well kept. Parking is never an issue. Tee time usually fill up so plan ahead!

golfed a lot during this COVID crisis to get out of the house and frustrate the shit out of myself. no, but golf is great. sometimes. really (depending on how i'm playing). really nice executive 9 hole course, par 3 and 4s. well maintained greens, takes about 2.5-3 hours to play through. there's some pile up as expected on the par 3 holes. short course, so no golf carts. strictly walking although they rent out push carts. the course is long and challenging enough to practice and play all of your clubs. it's busy and reservation only (no walk ins, at least currently), but it's a pleasant experience. can't beat $10 for weekday twilight. i usually get paired up with old korean guys playing during the week. there's usually a hold up on the 6th hole, par 4. narrow fairway with trees lining both sides. use your cheap throwaway balls on this hole if you're in a funk. the 8th hole is the flagship hole with a direct view of griffith observatory. enjoy the beautiful scenery and the occasional grazing deer. bombs away.

Great place to golf. Fairways and greens are beautifully kept, especially for a municipal course. The pace of play was about average the day we played. Wasn't aware that they book fivesomes, but it didn't slow down our group that much. We will definitely return and play again.

Was shooting blind because of the fog but still found all fairways.

I took my husband there for his birthday and selected a bay for two people. This was our first time so we didn't really know what to expect. We picked a virtual course in Korea which was on the tougher side but still had a good time. The bay was semi private which was exactly what we wanted. The ball sets up automatically and upon each swing, it rolls down the side and another ball sets right up. You can also pause and take a look at your swing analysis. My husband always asks me what's wrong with his swing so this was perfect. You're able to see where the ball made contact, face angle, back spin, and all the analysis you can request for to make your next swing better. They offer custom club fitting and classes. If we didn't live so far away, this would be a good option to improve our game. Plenty of parking since it's inside the shopping center where HMart is at. Go up the escalator and you'll see it in the corner. Easy to find. Easy to park. No hassle experience. Great place to would come again if in the area.

The driving range net near the first tee is clearly too short, and from what I experienced, this has apparently been an ongoing problem for years without meaningful changes being made. During my round I was almost hit by golf balls three separate times, including being struck by a range ball on the first tee. There were already dozens of balls scattered around the tee box, making it obvious this is not some rare or unexpected occurrence. A warning over the loudspeaker does not fix an unsafe setup when range balls are consistently clearing the netting. Beyond the safety concerns, the course conditions have gone downhill badly compared to when I played about a year ago. The greens were extremely rough and bumpy, putting felt more like putting on cement than on maintained greens. The layout also feels overly cramped and tightly packed, which only adds to the safety concerns throughout the course. To top it off, my golf cart died before I could even finish the round. Overall the experience felt poorly maintained, overcrowded, and unsafe, which is disappointing because the course used to be in much better shape.

I believe our server's name was Leila, who gave us the same safety briefing and took our drink order. One of our party members wasn't drinking at the time because she was pumping breast milk, so she ordered water. The initial service was great, but it went south fast. I don't know where the breakdown occurred, but Leila was hard to find. All we wanted was another round of drinks, including water. We had to order it on their app. We eventually moved to the dining area, where we experienced better customer service. Overall, it was a good experience, and I will definitely come back again. The first impression honestly caught me off guard. We had to go through security and a metal detector just to enter, which already felt a bit uncomfortable for a casual family outing. As a 6-year Elite Yelper, this was probably one of the worst experiences I've had in the last five years that resulted in me leaving a low-star review and I eat out everywhere. Once our bay host arrived, he immediately said, "I know you're from Montebello," and then told us to use the mobile ordering system. It took a while to download and get set up. I had to ask for waters, and although there were 8 of us, he only brought 5 waters. After placing our mobile order, he dropped off a few plates and napkins, but overall he seemed far more focused on cleaning nearby bays and folding napkins in the back than actually checking on or serving our group. With our first food order, I specifically ordered two baskets of fries, but they never arrived. I informed the bay host, and although he walked away, he never appeared to notify the kitchen or follow up. We waited quite a while, even receiving and nearly finishing our second round of food before I finally had to ask a manager about the missing fries. Thankfully, she brought them out quickly. Throughout the visit, I repeatedly had to ask different employees for basic things waters for the kids, to-go boxes, and other simple service items that should have been checked on throughout the experience. I ended up leaving a lower tip, which is honestly much lower than what I normally leave. I'm actually a genourous tipper but he wouldn't have known that because of the level of service we got. Someone in my group even suggested I should have left only $10 based on the service. I still felt bad leaving a tip like that but I had to base it on we received, which unfortunately felt like a one-star experience. The reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1 is because the food itself was decent, and every other employee or manager who helped us was kind and pleasant. Unfortunately, our actual bay service fell far below expectations. I didn't even get any pictures.
