I had taking my Shih Tzu Lilly in for her heart murmur condition They told me to order it through their website which I did when I did ordered her medicine they had told me 1 to 5 days. Also gave me an option to expedite which would cost $20-$40 more which I chose not to do because it said 1 to 5 business days if I would've paid the extra money would I have received my medicine sooner not too sure? It has now been seven days you have to go through a dr approved process first you need veterinarian approval, which I don't understand because I got the script from the vet. It was approved two days later and is still now in that approval status not even being prepared. Lilly has a heart murmur condition. It's detrimental that she has her medicine. It's now been seven days. It is still in veterinary approval status not even being delivered or prepared called the vet spoke to a employee. They told me if I wanted to bring her back in for oral tablet and A. eating stimulant I don't understand why the Vet would not given me something in the meantimeI have to again pay for office visit and the oral tablet which it should've been given to me at the time of her visit. There is no one 800 number to call the pharmacy. They said that it is A third-party, but it is in their website to order the medicine. The lady at the front desk that I just talked to had told me to bring Lilly back in and the doctor would give her oral tablets and a stimulant to help her eat. I had asked her if I would have Pay and she said yes for office visit and the medicine Is this all about the money or is this about the life of my pet which is like a child to me. The employee had told me that we're not seeing Eye to Eye and I would be getting a call from the manager, which I would probably prefer to talk to the doctor himself when they sent me the script. They sent ( prescription)it to me by email with no instruction, I had to call back Griffith and they told me to go on their website to order which is not customer user-friendly. I finally figured it out. I am now looking for a vet specialty pharmacy to get my Lilly the medicine that she needs and quickly I highly suggest do not use the website to order any scripts especially if it's a life or death situation. and if you're told to go on the website, I would ask for in-depth instructions and also get something while you're there before you pay for the office visit temporarily to help your fur baby. They are nice people. They work fast but the place runs slow. Dr. Lucas is wonderful she really is. She knows her stuff. But they are overbooked. Never on time. Prices are VERY high. ​They blood tested my kitty...I ordered a complete CBC AND CMP. Total was $370 or close to it. When the results came back I was told her thyroid numbers were off and they wanted me to increase her medication. Since I'm not a sheep I drove home. I went online and started exploring. For this blood test you have to administer it properly. Give the pill whenever you do BUT kitty needed to be tested 4 to 6 hours later for accurate results. That was not done. She hadn't taken her pill yet when she was tested. They never asked when I administered the pill. They never told me when they booked the appointment that the blood draw needed to be 4 to 6 hours after the pill was administered. The solution was immediately increasing the dosage. I didn't. But I had to pay TWICE if I wanted accurate results. $272 total for the two tests. Twice because no one bothered to tell me the correct guidelines to receive the correct results and administer the correct doseage to my kitty. That is playing fast and loose with my hard earned money. No one seemed concerned at all. No credit offered for their mistake. I am now forced to find a new vet read more

We took our puppy here because of a $100 gift certificate that the Breeder gave us. It ended up being the wrong veterinary BUT they went above and beyond by taking our breeders phone number to let her know that many of her puppies have shown up at this location since it is the sister office and to see about a possible reimbursement which was nice of them to do and not expected at all. All of the ladies here were friendly, we showed up 7 minutes late which gave me mad anxiety because I hate being late but they were friendly and warm to us! We maybe sat down for 5 minutes before we were ready to be seen. The vet tech was also friendly and great with our pup. Dr Nick blew us away with our interaction. First off he is also extremely friendly and gives a wealth of information! He also doesn't judge or has the snobbiness that I've encounter elsewhere. We explained about cutting our pup off from pro plan abruptly and switching over to a different brand and instead of scoffing or scolding he told us that it was the right thing to do. As long as our pups poop didn't change then there was no cause for concern. He even talked about how he has a golden doodle and gave us more tips and tricks when caring for them. I also asked about licking mats and again he chuckled and said those are quite trendy but not necessary unless we want to use them. It's nice to have a doctor that's down to earth and easy to talk with! I liked that I was able to ask any question without the fear of it being dumb. When everything was said and done we were charged $113 and were able to leave within the same hour of his appointment. We can't wait to go back! read more

I just got charged $44 to trim my dogs nails. $20 vet tech visit plus $24 for the nail trim. My dog was in the back room for less the 5 minutes. This is double, even triple what other places are charging. Since the new vet got hired, prices keep going up and up on everything. Nail trim was $19 in June. In October we got charged $68 for a simple re-check on a previous toe injury. The vet was in the room for 2 minutes before getting called out for a phone call. They are pricing themselves right out business. After being a customer for decades were done and looking for a new vet. Side note- most of the staff are really nice. read more

The front desk staff was extremely rude! I walk-in and stood at the front counter no one greeted me. The 2 ladies were talking, I said 'hi, the lady rolled her eyes and said one moment. I stood there for a long time with no help. She turned around and asked for my animals records with a nasty attitude. The doctor is AMAZING but first impressions means a lot. First , they recommended novolin insulin for my diabetic cat- novolin is not recommended for cats anymore and hasn't for years. I didn't know that of course. Now today- against my better judgment I took her for follow up to the diabetes diagnosis - cats with diabetes will have glucose spikes of 100 points or more when stressed and they skipped over us and had us wait for half hour- all while her glucose shot sky high Do not recommend even though I do like the vets read more

I have been a client with several of our dogs and one cat My dog recently got into a bottle of Motrin and I parked in the parking lot of there office and called and they refused to see him. I asked if they could just take a look at him and they refused there was no one in the parking lot at the time. The doctors that had been there that recently retired would have never done that. We had 3 of our dogs that also got into Motrin and they did everything they could for us. They kept the dogs all day on IVs. They were awesome and went over and beyond our expectations. I will never recommend this office to anyone I was in there parking lot and they refused me. The ER I took him to was discussed and couldn't believe they wouldn't see him along with our new vet who didn't say anything but there bodily language said all I needed to see. read more

Over the years, I have taken several pets there. I have always had a great experience with the veterinarians, but the front desk staff leaves a great deal to be desired. Those with whom I have interacted are generally rude, unfriendly, and very nearly always unhelpful. This has only gotten worse in the last few years to the point I now take my pets elsewhere. I have mentioned this to several friends and they have shared this experience and have also sought other care providers. I suppose they have too much business and must run off some, but judging by the few pets I've seen in the waiting room, I can't imagine this being true. read more

I have taken my cat to Griffith twice in the last few years and both times I received great service. The vets here are extremely nice and show genuine concern for my pet. During my most recent visit, my cat was very uncooperative and he ended up clawing the doctor, causing him to bleed, but he didn't get mad and just took it in stride. He even ended up giving my cat some treats later (which the brat totally didn't deserve). I personally felt terrible for the doctor's injury, but he assured me it was all good. I also like how punctual this veterinary hospital is. My appointment was at 10:30am and that was literally when the doctor walked in to see us (give or take a minute or two). I wish human health clinics were this efficient. I found the prices here to be reasonable. During my first visit, my cat received a full examination, two vaccinations, and a cream treatment for ear mites, and my total was only $80. If there is a negative, I would say the front desk could use a small improvement. When I walked in this most recent time I wasn't greeted and ended up just standing there awkwardly for several minutes before someone checked me in. The staff was nice, but they all just seemed busy or preoccupied with something else. read more

Go here- this place is awesome. I have taken my dog and my mom's dog here for years. Dr. Rogerson is by far the most kind and knowledgeable vet in the area. The only reason for four stars instead of five is that it can be tricky to find a time to come in after work some days if you are looking to see a particular vet. They are so kind and compassionate and they truly understand how people consider pets to be part of the family. read more

We have used Griffith vets for over 23 years. The doctors have treated 3 loving Boxers extremely well. Appointments are timely, fees and services are very reasonable. When the first two boxers passed, Dr. Reale handled all the cremation for us during a trying time. Our second boxer Abby, died while we were out of town. The staff kept her till our return for us to say good bye. I cannot stress the love, affection and care our animals have recieved. Our 3 year old, Casey, was diagnosed with an auto immune problem. We thought for sure we would lose her. She has received excellent care and I am happy to say, she is on her way back. This is a good Vet center and you will receive excellent care here. read more

Took my cat in for a second opinion on tartar build up. Previous vet said cat needs to be put under to remove it but the cat is too high risk for that because of hyper thyroid condition. Dr Amram opened my cats mouth and looked at tartar build up, stuck her finger in and used her nail and chipped it off in 2 seconds. I was blown away. I think my cat was too, didn't see that coming. We held cat down and did other side of mouth also. Of course my cat wasn't happy with this but it needed to be done and I was just amazed with Dr. Amram. My cat was just fine right after word eating cat treats right on the exam table. My opinion, great facility, great staff, and Dr. Amram knows her profession very well. read more

We have been taking our dogs to their clinic for 20 yrs. Such wonderful, compassionate and professional care from the doctors.

Staff is biased against pitbull mixes. My dog has been going here since she was a puppy and is always well behaved in the waiting area. Today another customer came in and wasn't holding on to his 2 large dogs leashes. They both be-lined straight to my dog who was less than half their size and she growled at them as if to say stay away. We got put in a room right away and could hear the office staff talk about our dog and how she was an aggressive pitbull. The vet who came to see my dog acted afraid of her and wanted to take my dog to the back to muzzle her and strap her down to take her blood and give her shots, we left because that is not how I want my dog to be handled. When I called to reschedule to see a different dr they told me I have to come at a time when there aren't any other animals there because they flagged her in he system as aggressive. I understand that some dogs are aggressive and they do that for the safety of everyone but I felt like they discriminated against us because of the breed of our dog.
