They seem to always be briefed on the animals' history and listen attentively to our reason for a visit. The office responds to phone calls quickly, have flexible hours (including Saturday morning), and take the time to discuss cost and treatment options. The facility itself is clean and updated, but not so nice that you feel grumpy about the cost of services. For me, having just moved from Texas (leaving behind a vet of 6 years) and already disappointed by another local vet office, it was wonderful to have Dr. Bradford call personally the day after our initial visit to see how everyone was doing. When it came to long term care for my cat, Dr. Bradford was careful to walk me through possible costs of taking him to a cardiac specialist for assessment and treatment, as well as risks of not doing so. I never felt pressured to spend the money above all else; she really did take a neutral approach, and while advocating for his quality of life, she always let me know that she understood the cost could be prohibitive (depending on what medicine he'd be prescribed), and went through all the possible scenarios with me (in office and on the phone), and also condoned that if the cost was too much and that meant that we'd need to make quality of life decisions sooner rather than later, then that was also acceptable. Same cat has also had surgery, with full anesthesia, to remove several problem teeth. From the scheduling to follow-up, it always felt like the right amount of attention to make me comfortable with the process.

They've always accommodated seeing my girl when things pop up and they are so good with her. One time she hurt her back/neck and Dr. Hermann was on the floor with her trying to pinpoint what was bothering her. I cannot say enough good things about them, in fact Luna gets excited about going to the vet. To me that speaks volumes! I am so glad we found them.

We've finally had enough after multiple bad experiences with this office…read more Yes, we own a pit bull. She is one of the sweetest, most gentle dogs you'll ever meet. She gets anxious at the vet, but her "anxiety" consists of hiding behind us or lying on the floor. She has never acted aggressively toward anyone. Instead of working with an anxious dog in a compassionate way, this office repeatedly labeled her as "vicious" and constantly pressured us to sedate her before appointments. That label followed her into her medical records. When we switched to a new veterinarian, they were genuinely surprised to see it because they commented on how incredibly sweet and well-behaved she is. It's incredibly disappointing that a dog's breed seems to have influenced how she was treated. An anxious dog is not automatically a dangerous dog. On top of that, their prices are outrageously high. We consistently paid nearly double what other local veterinary clinics charge for similar services. We trusted them for far too long before realizing how much we were being overcharged. We expect veterinary professionals to treat animals with compassion, patience, and without prejudice. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. Between the excessive costs, the unfair labeling of our dog, and the repeated pressure to medicate her unnecessarily, we cannot recommend this clinic to anyone--especially anyone with an anxious dog or a pit bull. I was also shocked by the owner's public response to our Google review. Instead of responding professionally, they referenced details from our pet's medical records and discussed our care publicly in an attempt to defend the practice. As clients, we trusted this hospital with our pet's medical information, and seeing those details used in a public review response felt incredibly unprofessional. Whether or not they believed they were justified, it gave us the impression that any client who leaves a negative review risks having their private veterinary history publicly discussed. That response alone confirmed we made the right decision to take our pets elsewhere.

Dandy Acres Animal Hospital is a phenomenal and humane place to receive care for your beloved pet…read more My dog Rosie had to have a ligament replacement in her knee after tearing her cruciate and her primary veterinarian at Shelter Bay Animal Hospital (another awesome facility which is their sister-hospital ) sent me there for the procedure. Dr. Weegs and her nurse Jacob were sensitive, caring, professional, and supportive, and I knew my dog was in good hands. After the surgery, Dr. Weegs came out to update on Rosie's status and was so compassionate and supportive, she brought tears to my eyes! Their awesome front desk staff even selected 12 month financing for the care credit card I used to lighten the load without me even requesting it, and the price for the surgery was less expensive than the initial quote. The facility itself is clean, bright, beautiful and doesn't have an odor at all. They even provide coffee for you in their lobby. Despite it being nerve wrecking to have my fur baby have to go through this tough procedure and recovery process, it was a pleasure to have the work done at Dandy Acres. These people are angelic and have embraced the mission of providing care to God's most vulnerable creatures - animals. I highly recommend you take your pet there for care!

Every single litter is bred with intention to have health, beauty, and well-raised puppies. I have raised Labrador retrievers for over 35 years, and I know what it takes to have quality puppies. When I was looking for a French bulldog I was referred to Jessicah over 7 years ago. Once I spoke with her, and then met her in person, I knew I found my breeder. The dog I purchased from Jessicah has been healthy, well adjusted, and a perfect addition to our family. I don't think anybody knows the time, tears, and effort it takes to raise a healthy well adjusted litter. And then the job of picking the right owners to take on your babies is a monumental feat. In every business, there are those people you should see coming. The ones who don't have good intentions, but fool even the best of us.
