Dandy Acres Animal Hospital is a phenomenal and humane place to receive care for your beloved pet…read more My dog Rosie had to have a ligament replacement in her knee after tearing her cruciate and her primary veterinarian at Shelter Bay Animal Hospital (another awesome facility which is their sister-hospital ) sent me there for the procedure. Dr. Weegs and her nurse Jacob were sensitive, caring, professional, and supportive, and I knew my dog was in good hands. After the surgery, Dr. Weegs came out to update on Rosie's status and was so compassionate and supportive, she brought tears to my eyes! Their awesome front desk staff even selected 12 month financing for the care credit card I used to lighten the load without me even requesting it, and the price for the surgery was less expensive than the initial quote. The facility itself is clean, bright, beautiful and doesn't have an odor at all. They even provide coffee for you in their lobby. Despite it being nerve wrecking to have my fur baby have to go through this tough procedure and recovery process, it was a pleasure to have the work done at Dandy Acres. These people are angelic and have embraced the mission of providing care to God's most vulnerable creatures - animals. I highly recommend you take your pet there for care!

I could see that being potentially troubling, but EVERY SINGLE VET TECH has been more skilled, detail oriented and caring than any other licensed veterinarian that we've been to. A while back our cat had some issues eating & was under the weather. We took him to a 24 hour clinic, had to wait for 7 hours, and the vet just told us he was fine & charged us $800. Took him to Dandy Acres the next day, and they were quick, took great care in explaining all the possibilities every step of the way, and the vet tech noticed a lesion on our cats gums while it was hissing. Turned out he just needed some antibiotics, and the other clinic just didn't bother to check. Should also be noted that Dandy Acres is extremely transparent in their pricing breakdowns and care strategies. We went to get our other cat neutered recently, and after his initial physical, they put together an entire treatment plan and went over it step by step with us, including the associated costs and price matching that they were able to do to save us money These people genuinely love animals, and make it very clear they're here to help whenever possible. A compassionate team that is very helpful with the scheduling on the phone. Never rushed me through anything. Dr. Mitchell arrived within the scheduled time frame, and was absolutely wonderful. Explains every step of the procedure and allows questions. Our baby was at home, in her favorite place to be - our back yard - listening to the birds and enjoying the sunshine. Dr, Mitchell also allowed us to see the diabolical cancerous tumor, under baby's tongue, after the procedure. This solidified that we did what was right by kitty, and not allowing her to suffer any further. No cold tables and blank walls for your pet's final breath. I got someone who had lost their beloved pet and got into the business because of the charges other charge. I let them know who Oscar's vet was and they told me that they have picked up from them before. The vet office had no problem and since I had to go in after work, they could pick Oscar up quickly. I picked up the ashes but they will deliver them also. You can even drop off your pet. They explained everything and even made extra copies of nose print and paws prints for Oscar's other mom. All for just under $200. Since I just adopted a 17 year old cat, I will probably need their services again. I will use them gladly.

Sandy was so patient and gentle with the cavalier (who I adopted 4 years ago at the age of 7), that he can now be groomed without needing medication to keep him calm.
