Bought a crispy chicken sandwich from here very recently and it was disgusting, limp piece of chicken between 2 pieces of damp bread, no lettuce or tomatoes. The staff turnover here must be almost daily, different people here everyday who don't have a clue what they are doing, slow service even when there is no line. Been to Griff's probably 5 times now and it's always consistently very good. They remodeled the dining room and also the exterior a little. It really looks good compared to the old worn out style. I can't say I hated the old worn out style, kind of gave the place some character, but definitely like the updates. Whole family loves this place, it's a treat. read more

This is a good hamburger place however not an excellent burger. We ordered the "Giant Hamburger" and while it was on a large bun the amount of meat was far from being "Giant". The burger had little taste to it and was just another burger. There was a very thin slice and I mean very thin slice of tomato, chopped onions , pickle and small piece of lettuce. I know that one should not expect a gourmet hamburger when you only pay $2.99 for the burger. The service was quick and the meal order was accurate. The inside dining area was very clean. Wish I could have written that about the restroom and my spouse advised her restroom was about the same condition.They did give us a refill on our drinks. read more

It's a fast food joint, so as you would expect it's staffed by teens and run by lax managers that spend most of their time in the office. Great selection. Everything seems to come out fresh but 1 thing is with the fountain drinks lay low on the ice. The milkshakes are thin unlike other places where you can't even drink them. Last night went to griffs about 10:30. Order steak fingers. The combo only had 4 fingers $6.99. I asked for 6 instead and don't want fries. I was told it be $1.00 extra for each finger. I get home and there were 6 fingers and toast no gravy. I immediately called them. The manager apologize and say they are out of gravy. I told her, then someone should have told me so. I would have change my order. That's like asking for a hamburger and get home there's no lettuce or tomato. Then she tells me that I said no fries. So my order was not a combo, I wouldn't have gotten gravy if they had not run out. Then when go back and for with eachother about whether gravy goes with steak fingers are not. She says they don't go with steak fingers I say they do. Basically it's clear she thought the gravy goes with the French fries. So I ask her what do I do with this order? She said there's nothing she can do. I reply, then give me the info on who the person is that can do something about it. She kept agitating my nerves till Everything faded to black. And that's when I finally let her have it. It took all of that to get the name of the General manager. Not a good thing at all. I went to this location 2 nights in a row and they were out of milk the first night, and the very next night they claimed to have just used their last drop of milk. I first met Griffs in Irving in the 80's and now I frequent the Garland location. They have great old fashioned burgers, just like you remember from when you were a kid. The outstanding menu item, though, it the onion rings! OMG! They are better than any 'gormet' burger place's. If you haven't eaten at Griffs jump in your car and go right now. Love 'em! griffs is sonic without the franchise. giant is an exaggeration but they make a good greasy burger for sonic prices. not drive out of your way good but eat there over the other nearby options. food was hot and was otherwise s advertised. fast service though, not so much. read more
