Today I stopped in at the West Side coffee company waiting on a friend. She ordered Eggs Benedict with a decaf dark chocolate mocha. I just had a delicious hazelnut flavored cappuccino. Our server was friendly and efficient. We stayed 90 minutes during a busy lunch crowd.

Location: Landmark Café is located along the southern curb of the 400 blk of W Fry Blvd. The restaurant is a one-story structure which appeared to be a moderate size. The parking lot shares a small number of spaces for limited spaces to park. Capacity: The restaurant is that of a moderate capacity, which is good for groups, breakfast, lunch and dinner spot. The ambiance is that of an older American setting, with indoor and limited outdoor seating. Discovery: I was advised of this restaurant via some classmates. I observed the yelp reviews, which was 3.5 stars with 160 Yelp reviews, and decided to check this restaurant out. Currently, this restaurant has 3.5 stars with the same 160 Yelp reviews. Initial service: I walked into an open service area and was greeted by a female waitress. I was meeting a group of 8 and we were seated in a timely manner. The waitress was professional, and we received our drinks in a timely manner. A short time later, the waiter received our lunch orders. Food: The food arrived within 20 minutes. The presentation of the food was good. The portion of the food was good, and the quality was good. I had ordered the patty melt, which was pretty good. I had no complaints. Alcohol: This restaurant does serve alcohol and beer, but I did not attempt to try what they had. Orderly: The restaurant appeared to be clean. I did not observe the male bathrooms. Price: The patty melts and onions rings that I had, came out to $19, which isn't bad. My classmates had various prices of $15 - $19 for their single plates. Grievance: None. Recommendation of business: I would recommend this business for family and friends who want to try good American food. Conclusion / Overall: Based on the service, the quality / quantity of the food and the ambiance, I will give this restaurant 4 stars. I plan on coming again during my time here in Sierra Vista.

Thanks Allison! You have the best smile! Thanks for always being friendly and helpful! See ya next time!

This place is so much nicer now that it's no longer a strip club catering to horny soldiers,…read moredefense contractors, and civil servants. Because of its seedy past, I had avoided this place for 15 years. And then the Sorry Gulch became the Horned Toad and cleaned up its act. I finally stopped by yesterday afternoon, a Friday, when I read the reviews here mentioning craft beer on tap. I had to check this out. I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, the dark lighting reminds you that you are in a bar, but there are now various sections within the space for a variety of happenings: dancing, listening to live music, shooting pool, sitting on couches by a fire place, sitting at tables with friends, or sitting at the bar. Seats and tables are spread apart to comply with the 6' distancing. I sat at the bar with my friend and had a variety of Arizona craft beers. It was an off hour and quiet enough for conversation without yelling. I'm sure this place can get loud and crowded late on a Friday or Saturday night. Happy Hours are 3-6pm every day when the tap beers are $5 and there are IPAs, blondes, pale ales, stouts to choose from. The beers are constantly changing. I had a beer brat for $5 to stave off my hunger and got to talk to the friendly managers, Miles and Debbie, who both were very attentive to my friend and me. The outdoor patio is also dog friendly as long as the dog is nice, is leashed, and refrains from drinking alcohol. I will be back!

We called to make a reservation- if stairs are challenging choose the first floor (more accessible but louder). We were seated on the 3rd floor and it was perfect. Much more quiet and had a musician playing the guitar! Our Server was Laurel and she explained the daily specials and answered questions about the menu. We ordered the sampler which came with artichokes wrapped in bacon, dates and red peppers stuffed with cream cheese. I could have eaten like five more samplers because they were that good. For dinner, I order the Penne pasta with spicy sausage. My husband ordered the lamb meatballs, which came with couscous and chickpeas in a very mild curry sauce, which was perfect even for me. I don't need lamb and I'm not big on curry and I thought his dish was delicious. We had the creme brule for dessert and that was great as well. For drinks I ordered a Matador Rose (tequila, rose, tamarind and grapefruitz) and hubby had the Excalibur (Bourbon, blackberry, bitters). Both were SO good and fairly strong without messing with the flavors.

We arrived just under the wire as the last table seated for the evening and were fully prepared to be turned away, but the hostess kindly welcomed us in. Our server was warm, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about both the food and its preparation. As the evening went on, we learned that this is a family-run restaurant, which only added to the charm and warmth of the experience. I ordered the mussels, one of my favorite dishes, while my girlfriend had the artichoke and mushroom lasagna. For dessert we shared the crème brûlée and a caramel nut tart with mascarpone. Both of us have traveled extensively, eaten at many excellent restaurants around the world, and this was genuinely one of the better meals we've had. The restaurant is beautifully and thoughtfully designed, the food was exceptional, and the service matched it perfectly. As a business owner myself, and as an artist who deeply appreciates craftsmanship and people doing things well, I can't express enough how much I enjoyed the experience.

While I imagine this is something that may upset some folks, it was nice to see that with the limited spaces they have to work with it would be reserved for those wanting a drink.

We managed to snag a couple of seats in a communal lounge area. I think it's the kind of place where many people come early for happy hour. It was also raining which made it impossible to sit outside, meaning the indoor seating area was pretty packed. We decided to lean into the sidecar of it all and order a classic prohibition sidecar. I don't think this was a traditional sidecar, which was surprising, but it was tasty. It's small, but it packs a punch. The bartenders here are very talented. Overall, I wish the space was a little bit bigger, but it's a great spot to grab a quick drink and enjoy some pizza from the spot next pdoor.
