Quite the historic saloon, so it was fun looking at the architecture and the huge wooden bar. The service was good and very friendly, beer was cold and food was decent - my brother had a burger, the husband the philly cheese steak and I went for a chicken wrap (which was a bit bland). The extra star for me is the pup friendliness. I would love to be able to talk about their food, but I've gone multiple times and stood around watching the staff ignore my party for over 45 min without being greeted, let alone seated. Yes the staff looked over at us multiple times. They KNEW there were people waiting to even be acknowledged. There were multiple parties being ignored by the time we left and went to either Longhorn, or Big Nose Kate's, which greeted us immediately, and seated us quickly. Was not a fan of the food here unfortunately. I ordered steak, potatoes, and coleslaw. Also got ribs. They were all not very tasty. The steak came out just a touch away from raw, and I NEVER send food back, but I had to send t back twice before they ended up roasting it to a well done... The coleslaw was just shredded cabbage with honey mustard on top, which is the strangest coleslaw I've ever had in my life. We were passing through town and decided to stop at Crystal Palace Saloon for dinner. We were looking forward to the experience and arrived hungry and excited. Overall, the food was just okay. Across the board, it lacked seasoning. I ordered the pork ribs--the BBQ sauce helped--but the mashed potatoes and corn were quite bland and needed salt and flavor. My husband had the country fried steak, which was cooked well but also could have benefited from better seasoning. It was a bit disappointing. On a positive note, the atmosphere was fantastic. The bar area is very well done and exactly what you'd hope for in a historic saloon. We especially enjoyed going upstairs to take in the view from the second floor and exploring the decor--there's a lot to see, including old paintings and vintage roulette wheels. It's also pet-friendly, which is a nice touch. The staff, including the waitresses and bartender, were dressed in saloon-style attire, which added to the overall experience. The Bloody Mary was great it had the perfect amount of spice. One of the more quiet restaurants in Tombstone, if you're looking to get away from the crowds for a moment. Family took a trip down to tombstone over the weekend and ended up here for lunch. The restaurant was spacious and had a good historic western vibe. Server along with other employees all seem very nice and friendly. Food was ok. Food ordered: 1. Wings Basket: It was fried perfectly, but wings are bland so you're relying on the sauce to make it taste good. 2. The Duke: Burger patty with roast beef on it. Pretty tasty, lots of flavor but messy. 3. The Cowboy: good flavor and if you add jalapeño, it kicks it up a bit 4. Fish and chips: this is my favorite. Love how the batter is not too much. They are dog friendly. The main floor looks like a great old saloon. A huge bar and back bar. There is also seating upstairs both inside and outside. We chose to sit outside overlooking the street. The stagecoach tour passed right by us. The food and drinks were great. My Sombrero Burger was very tasty. My wife enjoyed her Nacho Fries. I loved the Huckleberry Margarita. This is a historic place and definitely one any native Arizonan must check off their bucket list. Drank a beer at the circa 1800's Crystal Palace in Tombstone. Same place as Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday. Now you're someone! The burgers and fries are standard bar fare and make the mark for nostalgia. Yay stopped in for a drink. The big wooden mirrored bar is stunning. This Saloon has a lot of history - been around since 1879. Apparently, Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday used to come here. My husband had a draft IPA; I'm doing Dry January, so got a bottle of Sioux City Sassoarilla which was actually really good; made with real cane syrup. They often have live music on Saturday night. But not tonight, so will check out Big nose Kate's. read more

Another tourist eatery in Historic Tombstone, we had lunch here on busy Sunday. It is family-friendly even though the servers are dressed in festive, yet provocative saloon girl attire. They were all incredibly friendly and smiled all the time, even at the customers they weren't serving. There is live music on the stage most of the time, I understand and the act playing during our meal was more entertaining than the country/southern rock music pumped through the speakers. We had some basic fare, but I HAD to see what the Palace would do with their Spicy Cheese Steak sandwich. The chicken strips were great, but the cheesesteak was not good. The "spicy sauce" was weak and the steak a little soggy. I had to eat it with a fork. I give credit to the kitchen for turning out food quickly. The bar was busy. There were a lot of kids running around as obstacles for the wait staff. In retrospect, I would have asked for a seat on the second floor balcony to enjoy the fresh air,quiet, and view of Allen Street. Like most venues in the historic district, it closes early, so maybe check it out for lunch or plan an early dinner to avoid the rush. read more

If you want to experience eating at a western saloon and don't mind the wait, this place has the ambiance and feel of it from the decor, paintings and the bar is something to experience. Established in 1879 it's worth checking out. They mainly serve American food and the place is very family friendly to include pets. Granted, the wait took 30 minutes only because it was during lunch hour and is to be expected. We enjoyed ourselves nonetheless so it was worth the wait. I suggest to check the weather beforehand because it was windy the day we went, so it was dusty from the unpaved part road of Main Street. read more

Tony and I first sat at Bar & ordered a few drinks. Then we moved over to the table and ordered Chicken Tender & French Fries. The food was very good. From visit 2 yrs ago (sorry, just found the name of the restaurant) Absolute BEST salmon I've ever tasted in all my life. My husband agrees. I've never liked salmon and it's been since Feb 1 or 2 since I've had it and I'm still thinking about it! It's THAT good. Do not leave tombstone without getting this salmon. I've already told my husband I wanna drive the 7 hrs (we are west coast) to tombstone to eat this salmon for either my birthday or our anniversary or a Tuesday for crying out loud, it's incredibly yummy. I kick myself for waiting the last day to eat this. My husband is the one that ordered it but guess who took one taste and ate the whole thing. This girl. That man loves me. No photo because well, my mind was in the clouds floating while we ate. I forgot the sides, but they were good too. Kids got pizza. It was good! Hubby ate some and he usually passes on pizza. Milkshakes were ok, chocolate was best. Forgot what I ordered. Hubby ate it and loved it while I devoured his salmon. Can gas prices go down already so we can take vacation time and stay at the Larian n have all my meals at this restaurant, please. Kid friendly. Ambiance was neat, old wooden bar, pretty neat place. When we walked in there wasn't a host but just a sign to wait to be seated. It wasn't busy at all but we waiting about 6 minutes when finally the bartender waved and told us to sit anywhere. We sat down placed our orders (med ribeye & wings w/ranch). When I tell you it took them over 45 minutes to bring us our food. The very young waitress apologized for the wait once our food arrived but then took another 10 minutes to bring ranch. At that point my wings were cold. She again apologized for the wait. (They were not busy, she was just easily distracted wiping tables, sweeping, etc) the food overall wasn't great. The ribeye was extremely seasoned and more on the rare side not medium ( they should call it peppered steak) and the wings well by the time I got ranch to eat them with were dry. Cool spot but not the best food / experience. Once we were done we asked for the bill and once again she forgot and started sweeping and cleaning and had to ask her for it again. My first experience in a Saloon! And it's very different from our usual restaurants,a different vibe inside. The ambiance is so nostalgic, if you love antiques this is a good place to be. As the server put my $19.99 plate of all you can eat ribs in front of me, she told my companion and I not to share the fries. I gave my friend one of the four ribs in my plate to try and the top part of the coleslaw. That's because it was drenched in mayo I don't like. I only had the one plate, as I can't eat much. The server gave us a dirty look as she walked by. She charged me for two plates. When I told the manager the server was unpleasant, the manager said she was following rules and took $10 off my meal. Went here for lunch, and wish we had just had a beer and enjoyed the history of the place. Crystal Palace is one of the old saloons from Tombstone's wild west heydays, and it's a cool place to see. The staff dress in period costume, and you get a feel for what life was like in the 1880's. Unfortunately the food was just not good. It wasn't awful, but was disappointing especially given some of the photos we saw on other Yelp reviews. Everything we had was bulk frozen items that are just fried or heated. The chicken strips were bland, dry, and looked exactly like what you'd get from the frozen food aisle in Walmart. Same with the fries. And the chili may have been made on site, but tasted more like they browned up hamburger and added to canned chili. So, stop in for a drink, take some photos of the place, and find somewhere else to eat. read more

The 1st thing we noticed as we stepped inside was a sign stating "Cash only" which of course is unusual but at least they let you know ahead of time. There is a lot of history at the Crystal Palace such as Wyatt Earp was once employed here running the Faro games & Bat Masterson as well as "Buckskin" Frank Leslie were also employed here. The ambience was pretty ordinary but the bar itself was extremely large & likely the original one from the 1880s. We ordered the Blackened chicken & the 10 inch sausage pizza. Both were good but nothing special whatsoever. Our server was trying her best but it was evident they were short staffed that night. Next time in Tombstone would we come back, probably yes but possibly not our 1st choice. read more
