This is a popular local dive for seniors. The place can get busy during the first two hours of breakfast on any day. Food is good and service is friendly. I've had breakfast and lunch here in the past. Today (Saturday) was my first time back since the covid pandemic and I had a taste for a thai dish: curry chicken. I came in during an early lunch, grabbed the only two-seater table in the corner with a view of the counter, and ordered my meal with raspberry tea. The dish was filling, with lots of chicken and big pieces of chopped scallions. I actually ate the entire thing in one seating! I also ordered a pot roast dinner for my husband who stayed at home, which came with the veggie of the day (today it was corn) and garlic bread. There was no surcharge for to-go orders. I'm glad this place survived the pandemic shutdown in March. The two servers from before the shutdown are back. "We're coming back" said my server. "The community has been good to us!" he added. The only difference now is that to pass the covid rule of social distancing, the owners have pushed four tables together, limiting how many groups can come in at once. The tables are rather ugly, with enlarged placemats with local advertisers covering the top, but I don't come into a restaurant to review tabletops. My one complaint is that the owners seriously need to replace the ceiling tiles. Many are stained or cracked and the filters need cleaning. Several tiles right above my seat needed cleaning and/or replacing. read more

The food was literally so bad that we paid and left and went to a different restaurant (Indochine) just to get the "taste" out of our system. We never went back. "Jack of all trades, master of none." Their menu is extensive with asian, mexican, and american dishes. And that could be a downside as they do not specialize on one. We ordered beef pho and the broth was really packed with good flavors; however, the broth had gunky meat froth. It happens with meat boils but suppose to scoop the gunky stuff out. Nonetheless, the food was decent and service was friendly. This review is based on this one time experience and I will update next time. Awesome little spot! I was a bit wary of the massive menu, since I feel it's hard to make so many items well. However, I was not disappointed. I got the Mi Bo and the broth was delicious and loaded with fresh veggies and thin slices of beef. My grandma got the pot roast senior meal and enjoyed it as well. Best of all, the Vietnamese lady who I am assuming is the owner/co-owner of the place was incredibly friendly and chatted with me about our shared love of Asian food. Came here tonight for the 1st time and really liked it. The server was really friendly. I ordered a special the Orange Chicken, it was good, not the best. My partner had Curry Chicken he liked , he just wished it had heat. My mom had Mongolian Beef, she liked it but also wish it had heat. We ordered Egg Rolls and Spring Rolls and loved them sadly they were out of the Mini Rolls which I heard were just as good. Overall I really liked My Place and will definitely be back again. Breakfast was delicious and prices are not too high, dad got a country sampler plate is some sorts, it came with 2 eggs, home fries, 2 bacon, sausage patty, ham, toast and two pancakes all for $7.99. My throat and stomach burned for hours.The woman pretended nothing was wrong. she didn't offer a substitute or to get me what I had ordered. I had to sit there feeling uncomfortable and hungry while my husband finished his food. She said she would "adjust the bill" but she didn't. Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning around 10 AM. I was seated immediately. I ordered the country fried steak and eggs and it came out perfect. Every thing about this place is exactly what I would want in a diner: Good food, friendly, quick service, nice atmosphere. the Vietnamese selections on the menu also looked appetizing. The Asian food (mainly Vietnamese) is pretty legit here, I mean it is good for the area. Everything goes for about 10 bucks a plate and the portions are small but everything tastes pretty good. This used to be our favorite place to go because there are so many options but then we went and they charged us prices that weren't on the menu. They charged us more than double what was listed on the menu and this was after they couldnt' get our orders right or on time. With only 3 tables when we went, it took almost 2 hours to get our food and it came out cold and not right. Add that to the bill being far different than what it should have been and yeah, we won't ever go back now. read more
