This current global pandemic really shows people's true colors and Grill House is doing a fabulous job!! They are offering contactless curbside pickup and delivery with great deals! They even had a donor provide chicken meals to seniors who can't leave their homes and my grandparents were one of the lucky recipients. The meal was promptly delivered and nicely packaged in individual containers. Their chicken was moist and flavorful and the rice and potatoes were cooked perfectly! The restaurant was incredibly accommodating to our picky crowd, too. One member of our party had very specific allergies, and the restaurant was very much on top of it. Lots of options for everyone. Filet mignon skewers are good. Lemon chicken is excellent. Lots of outdoor tables but it is very busy so I saw some customers getting bent out of shape about uncleared tables. Meanwhile, the outdoor employees didn't stop running around helping customers move chairs etc. Double check you get everything in your order because we were missing a few small items like coleslaw. No biggie if you are dining in but a bit more irritating if you get food to go. read more

Grill house is a family favorite for us! Not only do i enjoy dining here, but so do my picky eaters. This is a kids favorite! Their menu is great! There is something for a variety of eaters. I love the opportunity to view their salad bar selections- being able to customize your order fully. My go to meal would be the Greek Village Salad with grilled shrimp. If i'm feeling adventurous, I will add the sananagi bites. If you haven't tried them, you are really missing out! Fan favorite! read more

A bunch of amateurs! Nice setting but incompetent order takers. Two couples ordered from 2 different cashiers and both orders were wrong! The GH salad ordered with chicken came without chicken and the chicken gyros plate arrived as a sandwich. Hard to imagine that this was so difficult..... My turkey club grinder was pathetic. 75% shredded lettuce, some unripe tomatoes and a meager portion of turkey on a small hoagie roll. No flavor and a small portion. The non-chicken GH salad had hard white ribs of romaine and the same unripe tomatoes plus a few more things. Our friend with the chicken gyros contributed some protein to that meal. The chicken gyros itself was tasty but the lousy tomatoes and too much tahini sauce caused the pita to crumble. The portion of meat was generous though. We sat outside and enjoyed the nice weather, not our dinners. I would not return. read more

I'm not sure if I either chose the wrong dishes or the cooking has improved here since my original visits, but the food (and portion sizes) here are consistently fantastic. I'd almost go as far as saying that I prefer going here more than any other restaurant (even the upscale options) in Deerfield and possibly even in the surrounding areas. Grill House definitely takes fast casual to another level. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable, with options to push together several tables to serve a large party. The menu is large and full of favorites at huge portion sizes for the price. The service is fast and friendly, from quick and efficient ordering to friendly food delivery to your table to quick and regular clearing of finished plates. The decor is appropriate for a modern restaurant that focuses on grilled food. Simple and clean looking, with plenty of lights and earth tones and materials, while avoiding tacky looking decorations. Parking is plentiful with good sizes parking spaces. Even if the restaurant or the prices weren't appealing, the food is so good here it sells itself. You'll never go hungry here as most orders come with a generous portion of sides in addition to the larger than normal entree size. They are presented nicely (particularly the salads) in an orderly fashion on the plates, with a variety of different shapes and colors that help to make wonderful photos. You can feel safe to order anything on the menu since the food generally ranges from very good to fantastic. Here are some quick thoughts on some items: - Grilled chicken: If you can only try one item, definitely try this. Extremely tender and juicy with the perfect amount of seasoning. - Pulled pork sandwich: Love the BBQ sauce on a very tender pile of pork - Cheeseburger: Nice char on a thick burger, good change of pace from Portillos - Caesar Salad: Generous amount of croutons and cheese for the perfect amount of saltiness. - Grilled shrimp: Charred perfectly, good firm texture - Skirt steak: Nice infusion of charcoal flavor and grilled perfectly tender - Grilled vegetables: They don't seem to always have this available, but this is as good as a full sit-down restaurant's version when they do - Ribs: Can be inconsistent -- nicely crisp with fall-of-the-bone tender meat when it's done perfectly, but at times can be a bit overcooked (but still pretty good) - Black quinoa salad - Fun to eat. Lots of colors and textures (creamy avocado, crispy cucumber, squishy quinoa) and the flavor is great as well. - Asian salad: Really love this version. The flavors and textures really pop here with the crispy almonds, strong citrus from the mandarin orange, crispy won-ton strips, firm edamame, etc.. all tied together with a great sesame ginger dressing. - Spinach pie: Surprisingly good -- really crispy layers of dough and a tasty filling. Overall, there's no reason to really pay more for delicious food when you can come to Grill House and enjoy well executed versions of your favorites at very reasonable prices. This is consistently good where I don't mind driving 20-30 minutes to bring friends and family here for a delicious meal I can count on. read more

CLEAN!!!!! Greek style chicken is GREAY and ordered a whole chicken cut up that came with string beans, potatoes and was plenty for two people (well, THREE)! They do skewers that are great; the burger is BIG on a better-quality bun and waffle fries (they do have regular fries). Sone of the old Nick's Gyros, so the food recipes are in their bloodline. Fast, professional, courteous and worth the trip! Hit 'em early in the day to avoid the waiting line! The onions and tomatoes that come with it are fresh every time. I also like how they have those fancy coca-cola pop machines that have like a hundred flavors! The Grill House is an awesome place to sit down, relax, and eat great food. My wife, 4 boys, and I eat here 2-3 times a month and have never disappointed. My favorites are the steak kabobs but often have the cheesy beef sandwich. My boys all get cheese burgers medium well and love them! The side of waffle fries are huge, we rarely finish them. I'm tired of them over stuff in the bag for the food and not using two bags, can't even close the handles without either breaking the package or ripping the bag, also too heavy. Stop doing that to your customers. You're not saving any money, you're losing reputation points. Make it right so that you close the handles and don't have any food sticking out over the top of the bag. No bag over 15 lb ever, split the load. read more

Grill House is absolutely a must-visit. Exterior was clean, fresh, cozy and inviting. The interior was immaculate and very well acquainted. The team behind the counter was very pleasant, eager to help and provided excellent customer service. Offered suggestions as if they have tasted everything. Good, fresh, hearty food. People seem to really enjoy the food here and there's great variety. Even the food at the other tables looked great as people seemed to really be enjoying their personal selections. Grill House has been around for 5 years or so but somehow we've never tried it before. That was a mistake. The Gyros is tasty and ample whether in plate or sandwich (we've now had both); the "regular" fries were good; I could have used a little more tomato in my plate but all in all an excellent lunch. We will add a Greek Salad and order for dinner next time. The 'hood has been missing good gyros since Nick sold his joint on Dundee near Pfingsten some years ago. Greek Feast does not work for us. This is a great place to grab lunch or dinner. It was extremely crowded on the Friday night we were there, both inside and outside. It dawned on me as I watched staff carry heavy trays of food around looking for the correct table, there's a much more efficient way of doing that. Table trackers - we go to a restaurant in CA that uses them. So efficient and I have not seen them used in the Chicago area. I think Grill House could benefit greatly from the use of them. read more

You know, I really like this place because the food is very good. I love the salads and it always tastes fresh. Odd thing tonight, the chicken was slightly raw in one of the chicken skewers. Not a big deal, it happens, eh. But what really ticks me off is that the people behind the counter have such lousy attitudes, as if they are doing you a favor by taking care you. Especially, the tall guy. I've being go a long time and it hasn't changed. The people have changed, but each one is more miserable than the next. I'm done. Great food, service, and selection. They have all of the traditional hot dog/gyro joint options, but have a much nicer, more modern dining area. And they offer a lot of salads and other menu items that set themselves apart. I've been getting either the chop or the Greek salad quite frequently lately, and the other day I ordered the Greek for pickup, but when I got there they accidentally gave me the chop (which based off of my ordering history - I completely understand). Without hesitation, they immediately made me the Greek salad and offered to let me keep the chop at no charge.
