Gluten free wrap gyro sandwich! Delicious!
    Sarah W.

We had the most delicious lunch at The Greek Joynt today! My family ordered the gyro sandwiches and they were amazing. I am gluten free and I had the gyro sandwich on a gluten free wrap!! That's what my picture is of. It was incredible. The portion size was unbelievable and I can get two meals out of it. The owner and his son both checked on us during our meal so the service was top notch. I love that inside they have remodeled a former auto service station into a bright, cheery space for a great meal. It's super nice and quaint on the inside. We will be back!

Great customer service. We had the chicken wings, Athenian gyros, the Greek salad and the avgolemono soup. Everything was delicious!

What a difference this restaurant has made to the corner of wolf road. Just as impressive as the new renovation is the menu at the Joynt. All the usual suspects of gyros and platters, but their Athenian gyro really emphasized what kind of a protein powerhouse this place is. When we walked in the Manager came out to greet the party which is always appreciated. The location is clean and modern and highly recommend stopping by.

The tiny portion of steak we paid EXTRA for

Our second visit, this time carry out and we paid over 6 dollars for the steak and they gave us like 5 tiny pieces. Tons of chicken gyro to cover up for the hardly no steak we paid extra for. Makes me not want to return. This experience turned me off.

Cute restaurant with lovely decor inside. Great place to get Greek food to-go or to sit-down and enjoy. They gyro and salad I ordered were delicious.

These is their 3 meat platter. Comes with Greek potatoes or rice or fries.

Have gone there twice now. They have a very good menu focusing on Greek Classics. Really enjoyed their food. Their prices are exceptional, and their service is very good. Give them a try. Very casual place.

Place is tiny and few tables but it was delicious! First time here so I tried gyros plate with Greek potatoes and side salad that had a thick Greek dressing. All of it was great! Gyros was good, and things had seasoning.

I thought that was a bit crazy for two wraps so I just decided to drive to the restaurant myself. Got two Dubai style chicken Shawarma wraps and asked for sauce when I picked up the order. He gave me some sport peppers and some garlic sauce. I asked for hot sauce and he said there would be an extra charge for it. When I looked at the container it was a small container of some kind of hot sauce. I decided to skip as I already paid for my order. The amount of meat is generous, but the flavor is very very mediocre. It just tasted like a wrap filled with warm lettuce, warm tomatoes, warm garlic sauce, surrounded in bland chicken inside a tortilla that was buttered with sesame seeds on top and then toasted. The tortillas were all hanging on the edge of the lid that all of their condiments are stored in. It was really bizarre. Would be nice if the meat had some flavor or at the very least they offered sauces without an additional charge. Total was $29 Will not be returning.

Indoors, the presence of a deejay made conversation a challenge, but a live singer/guitarist provided mellow background music for alfresco diners. The extensive list of beers on tap includes several selections brewed in-house. 4 oz. pours ($2.50) give hopheads plenty of latitude to create their own flight. On Thursdays, Red Barn drafts are $5. I enjoyed their Big Red Tractor IPA, a hearty thirst-quencher. Admittedly, the chow - heavy on American comfort foods, deep-fried or whatever - doesn't rival Michelin-starred eateries, but we enjoyed everything we ordered. For the health-conscious, the menu lists 7 entrée-size salads. Generous portions of food are served BBQ-shack style on paper-lined trays. We shared a fried green beans app (it was a bit heavy on the breading). Another Thursday deal that draws crowds is half-priced 16" pizzas. We weren't planning to order pizza, but how could we pass up their above-average tavern-style pizza with toppings for $14? Also earning enthusiastic thumbs-ups from our group were BBQ (pulled pork) quesadillas, various burger permutations including sliders, fish & chips, and a fried chicken sandwich. We waited long for our food to arrive, but our orders were accurate and everything was served at the right temperature.

To make things right, he graciously offered a complimentary sandwich upon my next visit and took my name. Well, I was in the vicinity today and swung by. Rocco not only gave me a 100% tip-top delicious brisket sandwich, but also a side of potato salad, and a bottle of their BBQ sauce to boot! I offered to pay for the sauce which was such a nice gesture as well, but he declined. Wow! Rocco is the youngish and energetic owner, and the Eatery is actually named after his Mom. Out of curiosity, I decided to check it out. Located across from the railroad tracks and near the Metra station, Dario's is a local institution that serves up tasty sandwiches and more. I liked their sandwiches options on the menu. The variety was good. I ordered their Fiesta Panini that's made with pulled pork, habañero aioli, muenster cheese, red peppers, red onions, and avocado. I wanted something to drink and I saw that they have homemade lemonade with cool, different flavors. I got me a small Guava Lemonade. My panini was freshly prepared. It had a good flavor w/ a nice kick of heat from the habañero aioli (but not spicy in the typical habañero flavor sense). The pulled pork was delicious in taste and texture along with the toppings of muenster cheese, the habañero aioli, red peppers, red onions, and avocado. I should've eaten only one half of the sandwich but I couldn't resist having more, so I finished it. The panini was darn delicious. However, my issue is that I went in with one other person and we ordered two paninis and two cans of sprite (one of each for each of us), with one salad bowl to share. It was $55 dollars after tax. Maybe it's me but it seems like a lot. The service isn't really a question here. It's not bad. They call your name, you grab your food, and bus your own table when you're done. Pretty standard. However, If they did that for you, the price wouldn't bother me as much because thats a proper service. To talk a bit about the restaurant itself, it's small with more space to eat outside than inside, but thats just lovely right now in the summer. The place looks clean too. They had complimentary coffee which was nice. The staff are reasonably young. Probably late high school or freshmen in college but that doesn't mean they can't do a good job. Overall, I don't know if I'd recommend this place to everyone. Im conflicted. I like big portions and quality foods of course, and this was great in flavor, just pricey. To reference the surrounding area, I can go here, or to Emits across the street which is consider the finest dining in downtown Palatine past the Argentinean Bendita and Bella Pizza, and spend around the same amount of money. Still the best panini I've had in a while though.
