I recently discovered Grill Kabob Reston. We're always looking for places to eat as a group after church that is accommodating to our size (usually 6-10 people) and various dietary restrictions. The chicken kabob platter is always incredibly large, worthy of the price charged, and delicious. And the white sauce is an excellent addition on the meal! Delicious! We had them cater a couple of lunches at work. I liked the food so much that I decided to check them out myself for dinner one night. The food was just as yummy. I got the grilled beef and chicken kebab meal. It came with rice, salad, bread, and chickpeas. Discovered this Grill Kabob location when driving through Reston, from Dulles Airport. Had a choice between here and Zoe's Kitchen next door to have a Salmon Kabob. So glad I chose this place bc the Salmon was tender on the inside and delicately crispy on the outside with flavorful seasonings. The rice was moist and the salad fresh and bread warm. I loved it! The service was just a tad on the slow side but worth the wait in my opinion bc the salmon was cooked and seasoned with just the right amount of pizzazz, and with fish, you don't want it undercooked (not good) or overcooked (dry). So my wait time was acceptable bc I was not in a hurry. Have to give 4 stars only bc this is my only visit so far, but I'll be back! read more

I've been coming here for the occasional gyro since they opened. The flavor is consistently good but after my last few visits it's clear they have made the decision to significantly decrease the portion size of Gyro meat. After reading all the good reviews I decided to give it a try for my birthday dinner on 4/9. I was hungry & decided to go big with beef & chicken shish kabob. The meat & rice portions along with the naan bread were good size, but unfortunately, like all too many local shish kabob outlets, both meats were over cooked & dry thereby negating any real flavor to them. I wish I could have given Grill Kabob a better review but for $19.07, I was disappointed on this visit. Not sure whether I'll give them another try...maybe in the future read more

I am just reviewing based on my order of the gyro platter. When I first opened up the box, everything looked so good! Unfortunately, once I tried the food, I wanted to throw up. The salad was limp, the rice tasted weird and was extra oily, and the gyro meat was incredible salty. Usually this is not a problem because I can use the yogurt based white sauce to offset the saltiness. However, when I dipped the meat into the sauce, I actually gagged. The tangy taste of the white sauce was non existent. Instead, the sauce tasted like straight mayonnaise. After trying the white sauce, the only components of the dish I could stomach were tiny pieces of the toasted naan and the chickpeas. Everything else I ended up throwing away. Please change your white sauce recipe to the authentic one. I am extremely disappointed with the food...what a waste of my money. read more

The gyro sandwich is OUT.OF.CONTROL. It's a different atmosphere from Cafesano, but the food is simply better. They're also reasonably priced and service is pretty quick. I've been three times and had solid experiences each time and hope everyone else does as well. read more

I moved away from Reston some time ago but was in the area for an appt. Looked up Reston Kebab and bummed to find no longer there. Tried Grill Kebab. So glad I did. I ordered the gyro salad no bread. The meat was tender and paired with a generous cucumber and tomato green salad. The white sauce was just okay but green cilantro based sauce was fresh, so tasty and not spicy. The surprise for me was the lil chickpeas side. When I took a bite it was instant comfort. Reminded me of the best channa masala, my mom's. Not too oily and a soupy, tomato base. Hooked. I will now be making special trips to Reston just to get a replay of this delicous meal! read more

These guys were wonderful! I put in a large group order and had all kinds of special requests. I called them to add a side dish to the order and they said they would. I tried to tell them I needed to pay for it, but she said she would take care of it. I had little faith the order would all arrive, as requested. To my surprise, it was perfect. My coworker and I tried this place for the first time today, and we were totally impressed and blown away; we both had the chicken kabobs and kobeeda (#5 on their menu). The kobeeda was really well done - more flavorful than Moby Dick's version, in my opinion; the chicken was perfectly cooked and very moist. The white sauce is amazing and the chick peas are wonderfully seasoned, and the bread is super fresh and very soft; I would highly recommend this place. We will be going back soon! read more

Not the place to go if one is in a hurry -- prep seemed to take longer than at similar restaurants. But the service was polite and prompt. I suspect one would do better to eat in rather than carry out since the meat was put on top of the salad, wilting all of it by the time I got home. The kabobs, rice, and naan were OK, as were the sauces. I wouldn't avoid this restaurant, but I think there are better nearby. For sure, I won't do carry out again. read more

WORST restaurant in Northern VA! - I went to this establishment last week on Friday @ 1230 for lunch. - The were a dozen people eating their lunch, no one was at the counter and given the open kitchen design I could see they had two orders being prepared. I ordered a Gyro sandwich only. - 30 minutes I waited patiently for my sandwich, that is not a typo 30 minutes. Oh, did I mention there were three employees working. - After the 30 minute mark I went up and asked about my sandwich. I was told we are working on it and they pointed to it on the Prep station. Mind you it's just the Gyro, no fries, salad not even a drink. It's bread, lettuce, some veggies, sauce and meat. - 5 minutes later I went and asked again, the sandwich on the prep counter had not move nor had anything been added. - At that point, 35 minutes later, I need to get back to work so I told them I will dispute the charge with my bank, left and went to 5 guys where I got my custom made burger, fires and drink in less than 6 minutes. - I mean if they cannot even process the order the food can't be that great. It is no Reston Kabob, boy do I miss that shop. read more

I thought this was very mediocre and doesn't compare to midtown kabob or charcoal kabob. I had the chicken kabob with chickpeas and a samosa. The somosa was undercooked, the chickpeas were bland and the chicken was ok. The naan was a little dry. Nothing to write home about. I will not return because of the other local options. read more

What a disappointment! I just started Weight Watchers and I'm trying to up my veggies. I ordered a chicken kabob salad with a grilled veggie skewer. Not only did they charge $7 for the grilled veggie skewer,but it wasn't even grilled veggies. Instead my salad was topped with mush. When I asked the employee about it, he said it doesn't stay together once cooked, to try it, and that it tasted really good. Displeased, I tried it, and I'm pretty sure it was a veggie burger. What a disappointment. Bad food and customer service. I won't be returning there again! read more
