This place was ok. I was disappointed the rice didn't have saffron in it and the chicken was a little dry. Food came out quickly though!

This was my favorite spot in DC. I came here three times while I was visiting. The food is phenomenal. I had the chicken kabob platter and my boyfriend got the gyro sandwich. Both were really good, but the chicken kabob platter was more filling and the variety on the plate was awesome. When I come back, I'll definitely be visiting again.

Since it's right across the street from my office, I go here for my quick dinner breaks. The gyro wraps are about $10-15, which I find as a decent deal, since they come with a couple of sauces and lentils and are filling. And the food comes out quickly, making it a great place if you're on a time crunch.

Very good kabobs. The place is interestingly decorated with a bunch of buckets as a chandelier. You can order online or at a kiosk inside the restaurant, but trying to get gluten-free options requires ordering in person. Even then, it does not always seem they know what that means. Sometimes, I get the kabob without bread and others without the dressing on the salad, so you have to talk to them to ensure they get it right. But the reason to come here is the food, which is tasty. You can still get a full meal (a kebob comes with a salad, rice, and bread) for under $20.

    Naan

I hate to say it because it's quite unfortunate when a small restaurant that isn't a chain fails this miserably. I mean quite frankly there are no redeeming qualities. Naan was dry like cardboard the beef was legitimately inedible i mean it all around sucked and cost 35$ for a bowl naan and chick peas. Avoid like the plague, however hummus was good but that's hard to mess up!

This place has a small mom and pop shop vibe and the food is DELICIOUS. I came here during lunch on a Thursday and they got busy starting around 12:15pm. We waited a bit for our food but it tasted fresh and homemade so it was worth it! The bread was fluffy and hot. The beef was so tender and the chicken was perfectly seasoned. The only thing I didnt like was the lentil soup. It had a weird soapy after taste but not sure if it was just me. Otherwise, everything was amazing!

I like getting takeout from here when I don't feel like cooking. The plates are a bit pricey but I can usually make one plate last two meals so it's worth it to me. The kabobs taste great!

I ordered a Gyro Platter from Grill Kabob today and was pleasantly surprised at the portion sizes. Felt like a lot of food for the cost, and my to-go order was ready for pickup in almost no time at all. The food travelled well and was packaged tightly to prevent any of the sauces from leaking. I was a little surprised that the white sauce included was just ranch, not for me but I'm sure some folks won't mind. The seating at the restaurant looked comfy so if I return I'll try eating in house.

Very delicious. We also ordered every kabob on the menu (shrimp, scallop, chicken and lamb). The shrimp and chicken kabobs were excellent - charred to perfection and bursting with flavor. Paired with zhoug sauce, I was in heaven. Do not miss these! Scallop and lamb kabobs were just okay. Incredible service, beautiful ambiance, and a memorable meal that will stay with me. I was very hungry that day, so hungry that I didn't even wait to take a picture for yelp. I ordered the appetizer sampler and the makloubeh. I think my friend ordered fattet jajj. Everything was delicious though I couldn't focus much on the food since I was catching up with my friend after a long time. After we finished the entrees, we ordered kunefe for dessert and it was amazing. A proper end to the meal. Then we heard live music coming out of the other hall and the owner was kind enough to let us sit wherever we wanted to listen to the performances. The staff of Nabiha is delightful and they made sure that me and my friend are well taken care of. More than a restaurant this felt like visiting a friend's home. 5/5 must try!

Loved that they had the World Cup on for everyone without it feeling like a sports bar. For appetizers you MUST get the labneh w olives it's SO GOOD!! I've never been one for dips but wow, the hummus was delicious as well. I believe it must be their olive oil that gives it that something extra. The Chicken Freekah Maqlouba was so flavorful, the spices were unique but not overpowering. I enjoyed the sauce and thin potato slice additions in the Kafta Bel Tahini. Nextdoor is a Peruvian restaurant, El Secreto de Rosita, and patrons can order from either restaurant when dining. The Lomo Saltado, rib eye stir fry was great. The meat was well prepared and sauce was delicious, definitely more than just a soy sauce. The presentation of all the dishes was beautiful, but take note that the portion sizes are on the smaller side. The staff were kind and offered helpful recommendations! The only hiccup during our visit was one of the dishes we ordered was no longer available after we had spent quite awhile waiting for it, then the dish we ordered to replace it was delayed so long that they comped it for us, which was appreciated. If you're the area this spot is worth a visit.

Good start to the meal. The lamb kleftiko is the standout of the three. Slow-cooked until it falls apart easily, with the seasoning penetrating all the way through rather than sitting on the surface. It's a dish that rewards the time it takes to prepare -- nothing rushed about it. The kofte kebab holds its own too -- well-spiced, good char on the outside, moist inside, not dried out the way kofte can sometimes end up. Solid textural contrast against the kleftiko. Overall a strong meal across the board -- each dish distinct but all working within the same confident, well-executed style that Zaytinya is known for.

That made the experience feel even more special in hindsight. We walked in on a Monday night without reservations (clearly a theme for us!), not knowing they were needed. Thankfully, they were able to seat us in the bar area, which turned out to be a perfect spot for a relaxed dinner and a glass of wine. We ordered a mix to share: hummus, spanakopita, kofte kebab, and adana kebab. Everything was delicious, but the spanakopita really stood out. It was a bit unexpected--not layered like the traditional version, but more of a rolled presentation. Even so, the flavors were wonderful and elevated in a way that made it memorable. The only slight disappointment for me was the wine selection. The red wines leaned more dry than I typically prefer--I tend to go for something more fruit-forward--but it didn't take away from the overall experience. Dessert was the one miss. We were really hoping for baklava, which wasn't on the menu. Instead, we ordered the walnut delight. While it had all the right flavors, it didn't quite deliver the wow factor we were hoping for. That said, the food, atmosphere, and overall experience were still impressive. I was excited to learn that Zaytinya has locations beyond D.C., including closer to home in the Bay Area--so I'll definitely be visiting again. Highly recommend, and maybe make a reservation!

Was warmly greeted, seated, and given an overview of the menu and brunch package options; decided to opt-out of the bottomless drinks, which had an alcoholic (mimosas and Bloody Marys) and NA (juices, sodas, drip coffee and black tea), as I wanted to try their more speciality coffee and tea. The drinks I ordered were the Turkish coffee, Levantine-style tea and digestive tea. All were quite solid. The Turkish coffee was as robust as espresso, yet not overwhelmingly bitter and slightly sweetened. The Levantine tea was a smooth black tea with natural sweetness and layered with a mint steep and floral notes of hibiscus, and rose petal. The digestive was more herbaceous with fennel and pomegranate zest, in addition to a steep of spearmint. The food was more hit-or-miss. On one hand, the meat and seafood was all very delicious and well-made. The braised lamb shank is their speciality, and well-deserved, as it's moist, savory and tender. The short rib similarly so, and the chicken casserole, lamb biajeen, Adana kebab and steamed lavraki (sea bass) were all similarly flavorful. On the other hand, the sides and mezze options were more mixed; the dolmas and fresh bites cheese with za'atar/nuts were delightful, however, the borek, cheeses, and some of the dips tasted reheated and/or not super fresh, the Brussels sprouts were quite scorched, and the savory salmon waffles were bone dry and flavorless. The French onion soup had the right flavor profile, but not the intensity; it tasted watered-down and even looked it, due to the noticeable oil blebs on the surface. Dessert was similar; the melon and fruits were fresh enough, the yogurt bar was quality, the kadayif nutty with the sweetness balanced, and the layali lubnan was intoxicatingly tasty, but many of the baked goods looked rather packaged and the fondue station was mediocre. The staff, however, were extremely friendly (my special regards to Mia, she's a great conversationalist and a sweetheart!). They answered all my questions, and one of the bartenders even gave me half a lemon to zuzh up my tea with. As I said at the start, more 3.5 stars than 3 stars. The core of their offerings are all quality, so I can't quite dock them a full two stars for the food quality because they had buffets aren't usually renown for said quality. You really can't expect perfection from AYCE, even though I naturally encourage the management to avoid sourcing pre-made items from Sysco if possible. The friendly staff and eloquent Eastern Mediterranean ambiance allows me to still say I enjoyed this experience, and may be back for dinner in the future.

That is really cool--and great for people who don't drink much, like me! There's also a quite large menu of mocktails, which look very intriguing, but tonight I opted for a lassi drink because I needed to get some nutrients in after a very sweaty hot yoga workout... I tried the following: - Mango lassi - thick, sweet, and very refreshing after a sweaty workout! It was my first time to try a lassi, and I thought it was great. The texture was very thick and creamy and smooth, and you can definitely taste the mango. - Veggie samosa - texture was perfect, very crispy. The sauces were outstanding and very flavorful. Possibly the best veggie samosas I've had! - Butter chicken - not the best butter chicken I've had but still a solid dish. The sauce seemed to be less creamy and less sweet than other places, yet a bit more flavorful. My partner was a bit disappointed in this dish, but I still thought it was good (I'm more about flavors, while my partner is more about creaminess). I did find the chicken meat to be a tad dry though. - Lamb & spinach - lamb meat was excellent and very tender. While the butter chicken (see above) might've been a bit dry, this lamb was cooked perfectly. And it was packed with tonsssss of flavors. - Garlic naan - texture was not as thick/soft as I would've liked, but the flavor was veryyyy garlicky, which I liked.
