I cannot say anything less about this restaurant. I have been a returning customer for a year or so, but tonight I am disappointed in the service of this restaurant. We were celebrating a family outing here because we typically enjoyed the service, until we were met with less than professional staff and ignorant management. As someone who holds close ties with numerous restaurants and managements in the restaurant business, I can guarantee you I will never return. A business that cannot accommodate their customers to me isn't an establishment that deserves my commitment. If you're in the area, dine elsewhere, it'll be worth it. read more

Our party had reservations and was settled promptly but it went down hill from there. It took 15-20 minutes before our server came back to take our drink orders and probably another 15 for them to bring it out. Finally after a while we placed our orders and the food took and eternity to arrive. The calamari was small thin pieces, the wings were super salty. The short ribs and the fish and chips are just ok. Nothing out of the ordinary. The meatloaf and the spaghetti was nothing exciting. Service was good but too slow. The entire ordeal was a bit over 2 hours for a table of 5. A friend told me this place had great Clam Chowder and they do! Different but very good! The bartender Kat was very helpful and provided excellent service. We had sandwiches, French dip and a chicken salad. Both were very good and they came with fries that were decent. Lots of choice on the lunch menus. Went there last night for dinner (9/9/23), hoping to get a good burger and a draft beer. WRONG! Their draft beer system was down, so I opted for red sangria instead. It tasted watered down. Then I got the wrong burger with the wrong side (they only have two burger choices and three sides). When I finally got the new burger, it had onions on it, which I did not ask for. Also, the service was very slow, which seems to be normal, as it was the past two times I was there. Won't be in a hurry to return. read more

Our Senior group went there soon after it opened, we probably should have waited since most of the problems were probably caused by ill trained and insufficient staffing. Everything took forever, especially getting the check. Almost 3 hours start to finally getting the check and getting out of there. The food was not good. The cuts of beef were very fatty, the seasoning on everything wasn't up to par. We may have caused some of the difficulties since we rolled in with twenty people at once, I think we broke it. We scheduled my daughter's baby shower for a Saturday brunch. The function room was a great size for 45 guests. The 2 staff people were very professional but friendly and accommodating; they set up all the food , took special orders for our gluten-free guests and managed the bar, keeping the mimosas coming! We stopped in Weymouth for gas on the way back from the Cape and decided to stop at Grille 151 for dinner. We definitely found a hidden gem! They have a pretty large bar area with tables as well as an adjacent dining room. They've got a great beer and wine list with a bit of everything. My wife found one of her favorite cabernet's and I found IPA's and ciders I love. We decided to start with a couple oysters and some wings. Both were outstanding. The oysters were super-fresh. The cocktail and vinegar sauces were the perfect spicy companion to the deliciously briny oysters. I have to say, we eat a lot of wings. Wings is our go-to app, and we try wings nearly everywhere we go (if they have them). The 151 Wings were outstanding! Best we've ever had! Seriously, they were flawlessly cooked, and seasoned. They were piping hot when they arrived, tasty, tender, and juicy meat, and the rub and spices were spicy without being super-hot. We both loved the wings, they are a definite, must order when you come. My wife got the short rib sliders special and some onion rings for her dinner, I got the double cut pork chop and a side of Mac & Cheese. We both loved our meals. The sliders were super tender and juicy. There were three good sized sliders with a generous amount of short rib. I have to say, though, my pork chop was the star, top shelf. It was a double cut so had two bones, and extra thick. It was cooked superbly to a medium rare, just enough pink to keep it juicy. I love it medium-rare; they nailed the temp and it was well seasoned and tasty. It came on a bed of green beans and mashed potatoes. All were prepared expertly and delicious. Have to say, we wanted to try the Mac-n-Cheese because it's a great indicator that the chef cares about what they serve. Their mac was scrumptious. It was piping hot, with tender elbows and deliciously creamy sauce and a little breadcrumb topping to give it just a touch of crunchiness. The vibe is great. The place must be relatively new. It's clean and bright. The bar was comfortable, had a good crowd, and the bartenders were very attentive. Shannon was our bartender taking great care of us. She kept our drinks fresh, and delivered our food piping hot. The bathroom was sparkling clean and all relatively new paint and fixtures, another good indicator of a restaurant that sweats the details. The renovated space is bright and cozy with a gorgeous gas fireplace adorning the long center wall. Comfortable large bar with plenty of high top tables. Kat was our bartender. She was knowledgeable, attentive, dynamic and served us like a five star restaurant. The rest of the bar staff was equally terrific. The food choice has something for everyone. We has the mussels with the most excellent light sauce that cld have been a soup! The wings were fall off the bone with an unique smoky flavor. My fiancé had a beautiful cut of prime rib...melted in our mouths! We got the generous sides of creamed spinach and smoked onion rings. I ordered the stuffed jalapeños with goat cheese. A fantastic makeover of the classic popper. We rarely get dessert, but we cld not resist experiencing the decadent and perfectly sweet butterscotch creme brûlée. My wife and I decided to give Grill 151 a try after driving by it many times since it opened. We're always like looking for a new restaurant to add to our rotation. Overall the atmosphere was average with the main dining area being a huge wide-open room. Nothing special. The restaurant was nearly empty as we went on a Monday evening. The waitstaff was kind and attentive. My wife and I both started with the clam chowder which we agreed was the worst we've ever had. It was the consistency of watery soup broth and had a few of the tiniest bits of clam and potatoes I ever encountered. Disappointing to say the least. For my entree I ordered the baked haddock, which came with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The haddock portion was small and had too much pepper to fully enjoy. The broccoli and potatoes were good. My wife ordered the lemon garlic chicken which she said was decent. All in all we agreed that Grill 151 was just meh and certainly not worth paying the higher than average prices for the food and drink. We won't likely be back anytime soon. read more

Yelp always moves my review to the "Not Recommended" section. SO after writing the below review, I went back for lunch, as I had a client who wanted to try it in spite of my prior one experience here... and she was paying. I got a fish sandwich. It was 3 or 4 little pieces of fried fish on a burger-style bun. Trimmings from other pieces I guess. Or scraps from the bottom of the fish bin. The tartar sauce must have been put on with a big ladle, as the sauce just poured out the bottom when i picked it up. Two bites was enough. Gross. The french fries that came with it were average-to-good but plentiful. The other person in my party had similar experience with a different meal. We both agreed, overall FAIR to POOR. Too bad, I drive by it twice a day. Nice bar. Expensive but very cold beer. Good staffing. But this place is off my list for good. My 2-star rating from last Sept drops to the minimum 1-star. That place was always packed, you could never get in. That won't happen here at Grille 151. This is at the site of the old Hearth&Kettle, which closed a few years ago. Are you serious ? We had a reservation for 8:30 and arrived to fine a noisy table that we shared with an unknown couple. Having recently returned from South Florida we did not expect a whole lot here, but were saddened to find the ambience of a Ground Round. I requested a glass of Chardonnay only to find they had only J Lohr, a brand reserved for low budget venues like Applebee's and any other mediocre 'home style buffet found in the Westgate Mall. Fortunately, we were recued by a Hines Property across the street ! There are lots of great restaurants that are local.......this ain't one of them. read more

However, had a problem this time with the Chicken, Broccoli and ziti that we took as a take-out (2orders). Let me preface by saying our bartender, Edwin was fantastic along with our cocktails, appetizers of oysters, chicken wings, onion soup and Quesadilla. The chicken broccoli ziti which we requested with garlic and oil rather than with cream sauce (menu description) was terrible- tiny chunks of chopped chicken with a awful flavor I can't really describe. I took my wife here for dinner last night for her birthday, right off the bat I like the fact that I could make a reservation for two people, there are other restaurants in the area that won't do that, so if you go out to dinner on a Saturday night, you are going to wait for an hour, possibly two. So that's great. This used to be the Hearth & Kettle and it opened up last year, clearly the new owners spent a lot of money renovating the restaurant, it looks great inside, lots of tables plenty of room. The waitress was very friendly, and the food was great! I can't give it five stars however because the waitress forgot to put my wife's order in with mine and her dinner came well after mine, but other than that our experience was very good, prices are reasonable, we will be back!
