Finally had a chance to visit Grille 151 and I'm so glad we did! I started with a Cosmopolitan from the bar. We decided to sit bar side at a high top table because there were great sports on TV that evening. The dining area looked wonderful. I may prefer that room next time so it depends on the occasion I guess. My friends had wine (sorry can't remember what type) but they said it was great. I had the fleet mignon with French fries (just didn't want mashies that night so they let me substitute) Others had the Prime rib with mashed potatoes and green beans. The corn chowder was delicious and short rib sliders and onion rings were also enjoyed. Don't forget to order the Burrata salad appetizer (so fresh and delicious!!) and lastly, we enjoyed the crème brûlée and sorbet trio for desserts. Above all, the customer service was outstanding. Brianna the hostess and Erica on the waitstaff, both made our evening a very pleasant experience. We will be visiting here again for sure. read more

I can't give it 5 stars- yet! Only because I keep ordering the same delicious salads with added proteins over and over- so good. I eat takeout salads at least 4 days a week, being one of those people who doesn't like a salad I make myself at home nearly as much as a salad someone else makes for me! I love a dinner salad, especially romaine-based or arugula and I wasn't disappointed here with the Caesar salad or the Chopped Salad. The Caesar has just enough finely grated cheese to coat all the romaine evenly- the romaine is still in decent-sized pieces, not so small to lose the crunch as so many restaurants do and not so big that you can't do without a knife. I like to add steak tips to this Caesar, it stands up to a very good sized serving of marinated steak. Yum! The Chopped salad took me a few trips before I ordered, as I wasn't expecting much, based on my orders from other restaurants that were lacking. I had no idea what I was missing. This is a big, crunchy salad with romaine, chopped cucumbers, real bacon, red onion and possibly the most delicious grape tomatoes I've ever had! I've paired this salad with added grilled salmon and it's a good match. There's something for everyone on this well represented menu- steak & chops, seafood, burgers pizza, soups & salads, desserts and a short Kids menu. There have been customers there every time I've gone in (always a good sign), the staff seems friendly and the bar looks like it can be a fun place to have lunch. All in all, I was very pleasantly surprised and look forward to ordering beyond those delicious salads! read more

Tried Grille 151 for the first time last night making 6:15 dinner reservations on Open Table. We started off with a couple drinks. A Spiced Caramel Apple Martini for the Mrs and a Jack Daniels and Ginger for me. Both drinks were good, but could have used a little more Jack. For an appetizer we got an order of Texas Torpedoes. Order was very big and the combo of ingredients worked nicely. It was Goat Cheese Stuffed Jalapeno, Wrapped in BaconMasa Tempura, Ranch Dip. I ordered Beer Battered Fish & Chips which came with Black Kale and Brussels Sprout Slaw, Lemon Caper Tartar Sauce & Fries. The fish was fantastic, light and crunchy. My wife got a Steak Pizza which had small slices of Steak, Garlic, Mashed Potato, Arugula, Tomato, Great Hill Blue Cheese. Thin crust and decent pizza. read more

My family and I had another great meal at Grille 151. Alison took care of us from the minute we walked in, got us our drinks and appetizers. We got the Double cut pork chop, steak tips, shrimp scampi, lemon chicken and a burger. All our meals were cooked to perfection and piping hot. I had higher expectations for the food here. The prices are probably the highest in Weymouth but the food was very average. I ordered the short ribs. I was very disappointed to see that they didn't come with any sauce/ Demi glaze. They were like dry on top of mashed potatoes. It also wasn't hot when I received my dish. I got a side of rice and my first bite was hard crunchy rice. Had I known there was no sauce I definitely wouldn't have ordered. I've never had short ribs dry like that. The Buffalo chicken dip was very good though! I want to try another dish there but I'm not rushing back. For the price I was definitely disappointed and after reading some of these reviews I'm not the only one. read more

This is for the treatment not the food here**** My mom and ( on a side note the handicapped parking spot is super far from the door, my mom had to walk really far and was exhausted after walking all that way). I was going to check the restaurant hours before going in, but there were like 50 cars in the parking lot so I figured we'd be good. I went to get a table because my mom had to rest from the walk. The bartender asked " can I help you? " in a very rude way. I asked for a table for two and she snapped very rudely at me" we're not open yet". We didn't leave alright away but she said " it's going to be about 40 minutes till we open " snappily " the doors are only open because of a function." The reason I am writing this review is because the bartender was super rude and nasty and glared at me just because I didn't know it wasn't open. Hosted our daughter's Graduation party in the function room at Grille 151 in Weymouth and everything was perfect. The food was delicious, and Donna and Camryn were great servers/bartenders. Would highly recommend checking it out if you are looking for an intimate space for any function. We had about 35 guests but I think the room can accommodate double that. We will definitely use this space again if we needed to host another function. We chose to have a meat/cheese display and then had sliders, meatballs and steak crostini which everyone raved about. Been here several times, sporadically, as it doesn't warrant being in our regular rotation, IMO. First time we went was shortly after it opened, and it was great. I remember the pork chop was outstanding. Since then, it's been mediocre. A reuben with hardly any corned beef. A pizza overcooked to the point of being dry. Latest visit, I got a chicken parm sandwich and I'm convinced it was microwaved. It had that dry, almost burnt edge, and suspiciously over-steamed in the middle. You can just tell when the chicken's been microwaved. Not horrible, but I expected better. Some things, like a salad with grilled chicken, were much better. Steaks we've had were very good, and I think their fries are very good. Just seems hit or miss at times, overall. For ambience, the staff horses around and acts a bit unprofessionally in the bar area (where we've always sat) for a place trying to be "high end" IMO. Servers rough housing with each other, telling loud jokes, etc. That can be fun in a certain type of setting, but not necessarily what one might expect at a place with this price point. I'd never expect it at Abe and Louie's for example, but would at the 99. Grille 151 seems like they wanna be closer to the former; I think they're closer to the latter. Not that I'd never go again, but I find the food hit or miss, and neat pours at the bar skimpy, and martinis mediocre. It's ok, overall, not great. read more

Stopped in for lunch after a day of shopping. Our server Michelle S. Is the Best! Attentive, friendly, professional, courteous and polite. The restaurant is clean, open, aesthetically and pleasantly decorated. Food and drinks were delicious. Ordered the chicken tenders with honey mustard sauce and the burger 151 with fries. Cooked perfectly and tasty. For dessert we ordered the chocolate cake which was to die for. So good!! Definitely returning to try the other items and the dinner selections. read more

We were in the area , hungry, so looked 151up on Yelp, reviews were pretty good. It was early dinner hour, we were almost only guests in restaurant. The ambience is nice. Very large bar which looks like a great place to have pop after work and the dining area was clean, nice high end pub environment. Okay to start off. We had a Jlor hilltop which was a great value at $65 and always a nice selection for a dry cab. My girlfriend had the beer battered fish and chips and I decided to take a chance on the prime rib. The service was decent. We had two waitresses. Now to the food. The beer battered haddock was delivered with two fluffy pieces of fish with French fries. My girl said too much batter. Not enough fish. Once you got to the fish it was okay but no better than a 2.0. I think you'd be better off going to Bay Point if you want a slice of haddock. As far as the French fries go they were greasy. Felt like they were fried and old oil. The taste not as good as McDonald's fries. As for myself, like I said I took a chance on prime rib. I rarely order the steak or meat unless it's a known steakhouse, but just was in the mood for prime rib so I did it. The slice was grizzly not of good beef quality. I ordered it medium. No better than a 1.9- 2.0. what I did like was the horseradish butter which I give a 4.0 to  Served over mashed potatoes and green beans which were at best a 2.0. They'd be better off serving each of those as side dishes and not buried under the beef. Overall we're going to give this restaurant a 1.9- 2.0. Karen, the restaurant owner did stop by and professionally assessed what we thought and we gave her our honest opinions as noted here in. She was kind enough to get us a $25 gift certificate and hopes that we would come back. Unfortunately it's not likely. Here's my recommendations as a world traveler & Elite Yelp reviewer and not shy about giving my thoughts. This place should stop trying to be a mid-level or even high-end dinner menu offering. They should change the menu up completely. The current menu is over the chef's head in my opinion.. The name is grill 151 so I believe that they should throw the current menu overboard and go for the all kinds of grilled items like many types of chicken wings & five or six types of hamburgers & chicken kabobs. We stopped by for a late lunch on Sunday afternoon around 3 pm. The bar is really nice with TVs to watch games and some good beers on tap, however, we were not impressed with the actual dining experience. First, they have a strange switchover between lunch menu ending at 3 pm and dinner menu starting at 4 pm with only a few items available in between. We decided to order the nachos with grilled chicken as an add-on. At $20 for this item, I expected it to be great but instead the nachos came out not very hot, the cheese was dried in big lumps, and the chicken was just sliced into strips on top of the tortilla chips. Seemed like a really weird presentation to me, and not to mention hugely overpriced. The other item we ordered was steak egg rolls which came out hot and had good flavor, however, the chipotle dipping sauce seemed like it had too much lime added. Gave Grille 151 another shot and updating review to 4 starts. I think the secret with this place is to sit in the bar/bar area. It's too bad more of the restaurant wasn't the bar vibe (there's another bar menu as well, which you wouldn't get in dining room). It was packed when we went. The dining room was again barely used the whole time we were there and has a very cold 'cafeteria' feeling. Food this time was very flavorful. We all tried different meals. Chicken Mac n cheese, haddock/mashed potatos, sweet chili chicken wings, burger, and calamari this time were all very good! Large portions. We all took leftovers home. Wow, elevated and modern takes on "American (Traditional)" fare, really well executed, along with spot-on service. IMHO, the chef and staff at Grille 151 are taking traditional American restaurant standards and making them way (way!) better. Who knew Deviled Eggs could be plated elegantly and packed with flavor. Who knew Fettuccini Alfredo could taste fresh and light and healthful? Who knew Risotto didn't have to seize up into a parmesan cheese ball, or that dinner portions could be sensible and arrive at the table piping hot? Grille 151 knows. We walked in at around 5:30 PM on a Saturday night and were seated at a high top in the bar area which is a very nice bar area. The restaurant filled up after 5:30 but seemed to open up as the night went on. Awesome. I should mention the chicken wings... big, plump, moist, smoky and just a little spicy. Delicious! read more

Noise level is a bit high as well. Not someplace I would go out of my way to come back to, but it seemed popular so there may better options on their menu. Update I was a hangry Karen. It wasn't their fault that I hadn't eaten all day. It was busy Saturday night at a new place, and I should cut them some slack. Also, my friends got the muscle appetizer and said it was amazing. And the price was the same as it would have been at Precinct 10 or Stockholders. So, ignore my first review. That was hangry Karen. I say give them a shot. They're trying in a very trying time. Food was good (prime rib is better at other locals, but my friend loved the porkchop), the service was slow (it was rush time) and the price was comparable to Stockholders. I'll try it one more time (not on a Saturday night) and see if they do any better. read more

We had reservation for 6:30pm on a Monday night for 7 people. Once we were seated, it was minimally 25 minutes before anyone even acknowledged we were sitting there. Then the waitress comes with one bottle of water (clearly not enough for 7 glasses) then went back for more water. Drink order took a while , then the food order came out. Everyone's food tasted good. I personally had steak tips Medium. Tasted great, but were not even warm when they arrived to the table. I just expected more from what I had read in reviews. read more

We've come here twice on a Saturday for brunch and are impressed! The restaurant has plenty of seating and a great ambiance. It's been fairly quiet both visits, we were seated right away. My husband and I have tried the Corned Beef Hash, Bennies 151, House-Smoked Ham and Egg sandwich, and the Townie Breakfast. All of them have been delicious. I am not sure what seasoning they use on the home fries, but they are some of the best I've ever eaten. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the service has been great. The hostesses have been welcoming, our waitress, Emily, has been fantastic, and our food and drinks always came out quickly. Grille 151 is a welcome addition to the South Shore dining scene. Had a gift card, so I had to stop in. I ordered the French dip, and it was really tasty. The fries looked like they were the frozen type, but are actually hand cut and very flavorful. One issue was the ketchup came in a little cup and I asked my server for more, but it was not delivered. Beer selection is not huge, but represents many styles. The portion of beef was right about average. I had never been here before, but I with guess this is the type of place that would cut meal size before skimping on quality. Cook walking around said to try the pork chops on my next visit. 3.5 stars really. read more

Celebrating an anniversary tonight. French onion soup was delicious. He ordered fish and chips, the fish was two smaller pieces but very good. The fries were nothing special. I had the grilled Atlantic salmon, which came over couscous with Swiss chard and golden raisins. Absolutely delicious. We shared key lime pie for dessert which we loved!
