Just had an awesome lunch at Grillerz in Nineveh, IN today. Every time I'm in the Edinburgh / Camp Atterbury area, I stop here, and they haven't missed yet. Today I ordered the half rack of ribs, a side salad, and onion rings. That half slab was shockingly meaty, tender, and flat-out delicious -- honestly more meat than a full slab at a lot of places. Best part? $25 all-in for a lunch that left me full and happy. Only regret is I didn't grab a photo of the ribs... and that I won't be back in town for a while to eat here again. The food was decent. It was really hot in the restaurant like the air was not working?? We have gone twice and the service was not good either time. If you are not in a hurry and don't mind waiting 15 to 20 minutes just to get your drink and much longer for your food then you may not mind but we won't be back due to how long it took. read more

This place is like your local "cheers." My aunt and uncle are regulars and literally the wait staff know them by name and what their normal order is. I haven't been to Grillerz n a couple years. My husband and I stopped by for a quick lunch yesterday. My jaw dropped when I walked in. The dining room has been remodeled in a wonderful upscale lodge theme. I love the old hand cut wood flooring. The space is open yet cozy. There's a bar in the back with more seating. The menu has been totally updated with breakfast and lunch specials available. Heck, there is even a daily drink special. Today, they offered $5 Long Island Iced Tea. I had the cheeseburger with French onion soup as a side. The soup was hot and delicious. The cheeseburger was cooked perfectly, medium rare, and huge. It was the best pub burger that I've had in a long time. I took have of it home because it was so big. My husband had the breaded tenderloin. He's kind of a tenderloin snob, but he gave this one 5 stars (which is rare). The pork was tender and the breaded perfectly seasoned. The generous portion of fries were crispy and good. The food is great. Reece, our server, was friendly and attentive. She filled our drinks frequently, checked on us and offered to-go beverages. Even the manager came over and checked on us. The service is outstanding. They offer free Wifi. There is parking in front, but more in back. The building is wheelchair accessible. Restrooms are tidy. I recommend highly. I've heard a lot about Grillerz. I had the chance today to stop by after work. So glad I made the stop! I honestly thought it would be a bar atmosphere, but I was surprised to find a cozy, nice dining room with an older crowd enjoying lunch. The lunch specials are crazy. So for $9.00 you get a choice of breaded tenderloin, two chili dogs, chicken Parmesan sandwich, all American cheeseburger, and I'm missing a few others. Then choice of fries, chips, Cole slaw, soup or salad, and drink!! I chose the clam chowder and chili dogs. I know it's a crazy combo, but it was funny I was craving both. The chowder was homemade and on point and very delicious! It was in a bowl, not a cup! I've paid $6/9 dollars for a cup of soup this good at high end places. You may say chili dogs are just meh, but not these. They take the time to split the dog and sear it on a flat top, like I grew up with. It's the little things. The chili was a mix between chili dog sauce and real chili. As above it was really good. I know this review was just about chili dogs and soup essentially, but they pay attention to the details and the effort to make soup from scratch, sear the dogs and serve it for a very affordable price. I can't forget the service staff. Two ladies who were very polite, sincere, and great at what they do. They create a great ambiance to enjoy a meal. All in all I loved this place. I liked this little small town place. The interior is rustic and cabin style, complete with mounted deer on the walls. French onion soup is okay, but a lil bland. The tenderloin was solid. My husband had the club and he looked excited about it. It looked good. Service was a bit lacking due to some nearby large tables. I don't think they were expecting this. The staff was hustling. Attitude from the person behind the counter very poor, must have been having a bad day. I called my order in picked up in person, wasn't but 4 people in the place at the time and 3 were waitresses maybe he was mad because I didn't leave a tip. On a fixed income and he didn't do anything. If I didn't buy there I can buy some where else. Would have been different if I ate there and you were actually serving my table etc etc . This crap of people expecting a tip at a self service restaurant more or less is bs if we didn't come in you wouldn't have a job maybe the payment for his pretty earrings was coming up. Even though the wait staff didn't seem too enthusiastic and the service was sloooooooow, the food was legit and the kids ate great! It took a minute for someone to know we sat down, the drinks came late, and the food took a while. If they were busy I totally understand, but we came for a late lunch and it was not busy. I'd give this hidden gem a 5 if the service was better, with kids it's hard when service is slow. The meatloaf and brown gravy was old school delicious. The kids loved their pizzas. On 9/25/2004: To the owners, please brine the tenderloins, make them thicker (don't make them look bigger by pounding them out so thin, and also add some spice.) If I didn't have pickle, onion, and ketchup on the tenderloin it would have been totally tasteless. Benchmark your tenderloin against the Gnaw Mart tenderloin in Gnawbone, IN. P.S. Please ask the barmaid to back off the perfume/cologne it was overwhelming; I could "taste it" while eating the tenderloin. I highly recommend the breakfast skillets (Grillerz skillet is the best). If you are with someone, you should ask the servers to have the cook split the skillet into two smaller skillets. There will still be enough to make you feel full. read more

The was soooo delicious that I couldn't even take a pic of everything we had but do yourself a favor and order the ribs , we also had the pork chop with gravy and of course the funnel cake fries for dessert. Really busy 1130 to 1230 everyday so plan accordingly. Also great prime rib on Fri and Sat. Usually sold out by 630 so get there early if you want prime rib !!! I keep giving this place a try as it's less than a mile from my home . Every time it's the same result - - HORRIBLE!! The pickle fries tastes like they had been in oil for 3 days ! The fries were the same and soggy. The Reuben sandwich had no sauce on it. I added the sauce only to find the bread soggy and the meat tasted old . Needless I didn't have supper . !! I will not be ordering from them again it's just a waste of money . The only nice thing about this place is Derek the bar tender ! He is kind funny and great to be around . After stopping by the Apple Works, I headed east a few miles to Nineveh and checked out their new (2019) pub called Grillerz. I parked out front in their small lot and climbed a few steps into the entrance (no ramp). Inside, the pub has a country lodge feel with a large fireplace with mounted animal trophies, high ceilings, and a model ship under glass. There is soft lighting around the upper walls. The kitchen is to the rear left and the bar, to the rear right. Most seating is at 4-top tables and was pick your own spot at lunch time. A music selection box was playing a mix of country and pop tunes but not too loud to talk over. I was greeted and before long, my waitress brought me a menu. I also asked for a beer menu since I saw they carried some craft beers by the signs inside the bar. I ended up getting a Knuckle Buster (Quaff On) while I waited for my meal. I ordered the "sharables" Whole Chicken Wings (I chose BBQ sauce for my flavoring). I also got an order of deep fried Sweet Potato Waffle Fries after finding out that they were out of Chef's Veggies. Both items arrived after about 15 minutes and I couldn't help but notice how brown my plates were. The five full wings (about a pounds worth) were still hot and the sauce poured on top got hot too and stuck to my fingers. I had to let them cool for a couple minutes to pick them up. I will say that despite my best efforts, I managed to get sauce on eight of my ten fingers. Lots of napkins were needed! The flavor was really good, but I think I prefer my wings in pieces, and there is no sense serving the wing tips since they don't have enough meat to make it worth the effort. I had to ask for a packet of quick wipes so that I could get to my wallet without getting sticky sauce all over. The waffle fries were also more brown than expected since they were deep fried instead of baked. They did have a nice crunch, but lacked any seasoning (that's why I prefer them baked..the seasoning stays on.) The portion was generous and the flavor was okay, but nothing to look forward to. The server was generally pleasant and did check on my a couple times to see if I needed another beer, or more water, or a water to go. Check out went quickly too. This is the only restaurant in the area and though there is room for improvement on the food side, the place was clean and welcoming. Everything is delicious too my taste. I recommend you give it a try. They have the best breakfast, lunch and supper. I think you can't go wrong by stopping and eating at Grillers in Nineveh on 775 south. Well worth giving it a try. Remember everybody's tastebuds are different. It is a family restaurant. Also kids can go in and eat. If you're going to do breakfast, I suggested biscuits and gravy. The omelettes are awesome also. As a matter of fact, I am heading to Grillerz now to get a to go order. Everything we've tried at Grillerz has been great! I love the chicken pasta soup on Tuesdays. The prime rib offered on Friday and Saturday evening is so very tasty! Be sure to go early. They do sell out! When hungry for pizza Grillerz is our go to. Plenty of flavor! We appreciate their lunch menu, lots of choices for excellent prices.
