Went here on a whim with my mom one Sunday afternoon, and really enjoyed it! No wait, so seated right away, which was nice. Friendly waitress who was fun to talk with, she recommended the Caesar to share, which did not disappoint! Fresh, good dressing that coated all the leaves, but wasn't dripping off. Definitely shareable for 4, even though there were 2 of us. Went with a 16" pizza, which was huge, but toppings don't cost any extra from one pizza size to a other, so we figured leftovers would be a good thing! Crust made the pizza, a nice brick oven style with the perfect crispness and amount of chew. While I don't live close to here personally, I'd highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for some good pizza! I can see how this place would get busy on a Friday or Saturday, assuming they do a good takeout business too. We absolutely love the pizza from this place. That is exactly why we made the decision to have Grimaldis pizza at our wedding with over 150 people! We gave about 2 months notice including a time frame for pickup at 530 making it clear that was what needed to happen to make our dinner timeslot(delivery was not an option so we had to pick up ourselves instead of trying to uber 60 pizzas). On top of the emailed communication we also called at two different times on the pickup day to verify the completion of our order. At 5:20pm one of my groomsmen went to pick up the pizzas and we were regrettably surprised by the wait that there was. After everything was said and done the order was completed at about 620pm. As I mentioned before this was for our wedding and when the pizza was not even done being baked by 6pm we had to act quickly to reschedule the evening to accommodate Grimaldis disappointing service. Once the pizza had arrived after 630 the groomsman that went to pick them up had already missed his opportunity to give a speech and we had 150 guests that had been waiting on their dinner for far to long. Once the event was over I contacted the Grimaldis representative numerous times to discuss this and have been left without a response for over a week. I would hope that after spending nearly $2000 on their food someone is able to make things right or at least acknowledge us. read more

Don't waste your time or money. It was over $40 for a small salad and 16 inch pizza. Pizza was sauce heavy, little cheese, little meat despite paying for it to be added. Mostly crust in the pizza and it took 35 minutes to get it. The atmosphere is nice and server was good, but the food is not worth the wait or the price. read more

I was super stoked when I found out that a Grimaldi's was opening in Brookfield. I came to the chain quite a bit in Arizona and then continued coming when on vacation in Florida. I love the lighting and decor, it really makes for a cozy atmosphere. The service is always friendly and attentive. I normally come here with my husband, Paul V, and we get an 18-inch cheese, sausage, pepperoni, and onion pizza. Every time it's been fantastic! I mean, I absolutely love this pizza. Honestly, the only issue so far has been the wait for the pizza. We recently came and it wasn't very busy, but we waited quite a while (an unusual amount of time) for the pizza to arrive. I noticed other tables were also anxiously waiting for their pizza. Other than that, I absolutely love Grimaldi's and will definitely be back for another pie! read more

Shared a large pizza, which was cut into 6 large pie slices, with a friend and we each enjoyed a glass of wine. The restaurant was quiet enough for us to have conversation without yelling across the table and everything was very clean. We sat near the pizza oven, which is built into the wall and therefore wasn't much for viewing. I was hoping to see the coal and fire and watch part of the baking process. Nonetheless, the pizza was better than I expected for a restaurant chain. The crust was thin and crisp, the sauce was slightly sweet with a fresh taste, and the sausage and pepperoni were spicy and flavorful. Our service was solid and we had a nice visit. For chain pizza, it was pretty good. I've never been to the original NY location but felt that Grimaldi's served up a reasonable approximation of NY style pizza. We stopped on a weekday evening and had no issues getting seated immediately. The space is brand new and has a pleasant patio if the weather is nice. I don't know if it was just our table but the table covering had quite an off putting odor. Anyway - menu wise it's pretty much pizza with a few appetizer (but splittable) salads. No pasta or anything like that which is fine - if pizza is your thing then focus on that. We opted for a plain sausage pizza and it arrived nicely cooked with crispy, not charred, crust ends. The sauce tasted nice and fresh too. You know it's good when my husband actually eats the whole crust! Anyway, pizzas are well priced for a nicer place (comparable to Pizza Man) but drinks are WAY overpriced. If you're going to charge $11+ for an old fashioned in WI, it had better come in a bucket. Service was "fine" but I can definitely see where people have had issues - appears to be a lot of turnover/people getting trained. Probably a 3.5 for me - I wouldn't make a special trip but I wouldn't avoid. read more

Went for some pizza and salad prior to a comedy show at the Improv. Started out with a bottle of Italian Pinot noir. The large Mediterranean Salad was a great starter. Full of Feta and Kalamata Olives, and a nice Vinegrette. For the main...a 18" Arugula and Prosciutto brick oven pizza. Everything was made fresh and it was scrumptious! My sister, niece & I visited this location on November 12th @ 5p. We all had birthday coupons to redeem since it's dine in only so my sister asked the hostess if it would be okay to sit in the bar area separately to redeem our coupons & was told yes. There are tables by the bar area so 2 of us sat @ the table & 1 @ the bar. Well I guess that was an issue because the manager came over to me & said since it's 25% capacity we are taking up too much table space & can sit @ the bar together to redeem our certificates. I said that's fine; my only suggestion will be to come to the customer in a nicer way because the manager (male) & the hostess came together to question me like it was going to be problem; also our waitress behind the bar walked over to the manager prior to serving us to address the concern. So the tables less than 6ft from the bar area is not considered the bar area but regular seating areas. We were surprised to see no signs on the tables & or bar areas for social distancing. The great points the restaurant was clean & all employees did wear masks. They should definitely have signs everywhere inside the restaurant for social distancing purposes even though it's only 25% serving. We did not let this issue ruin our wonderful evening; we went ahead & ordered our pizza's. Our pizzas was good; our suggestions for whomever is preparing the pizza dough to make sure their are no air bubbles in the pizza dough when it's perforated because when it's cooked in the oven the bubbles are burnt. Also to make a signage on the door & online to advise customers of certain cleaning times the restaurant have to do during the day. When they are doing their oven cleaning 2x a day; customer's would have to wait over an hour to order a pizza which is not disclosed anywhere. My sister late last month experienced this issue & they were nice to extend her certificate since she do not leave in the area. We usually have great service here since we found this restaurant 2 years ago but on this day it was just okay. read more

Have been to Grimaldis numerous times over the past few years, and have always been impressed with their pizza. That said I have a hard time understanding how a pizzeria that shuts its ovens off in the middle of the afternoon would not even inform people prior to driving across town for a meal. Worst part is that we called ahead to make sure that they were open. Well guess what...if you're a pizzeria and you don't make pizzas for an hour in the middle of the afternoon, then technically you're closed. That should at the very least be a disclaimer that is used on all incoming phone inquiries, or a pre-recorded greeting. Pretty disappointing that someone hasn't figured this out yet. I called Saturday and asked for a reservation and was told they were only taking walk ins. We arrived at about 8:15pm and when I asked for a table if 2 they indicated there would be a 20 to 30 minute wait. I turned and about 1/3 of the dining room was empty, tables did need to be bused but there seemed to be several people around along with 2 hostesses at the desk. There was only one couple waiting. I was told they had a wait list but there was no one there. I know there is a growing concern in some establishments of staffing shortages. But there are still restaurants that are not affected by this. The word on the street is many of the establishments that cater to the younger generations are seeing a decrease in tipping and that is driving staff away from wanting to work those positions in those restaurants. I have heard your food in very good but the yelp ratings are only a 3. Seems to be a concern. I did spend 15 years of my life in the restaurant business and understand many of the issues. I just thought a comment could help your location and knowing what is being presented. There appeared to be plenty of staff available to clear tables but looking in the rear dining room it wasn't just a table or two. It was almost a third to half of the dining room with tables that were not refreshed. Could be a concern if who is driving the bus. Management or the staff. Nothing I expect just an FYI for the future. read more

What a great addition to Brookfield! The atmosphere is fantastic, so warm and welcoming. The staff is very friendly. I would have never known they just opened, the staff was so will trained and comfortable. Our server went through the menu, made helpful recommendations, and they did not disappoint. We tried the Apple Sangria and Black Cherry Gimlet and they were so good!!!! For appetizers, we tried the wedge salad, bruchetta, and house salad. All were fantastic options! We each tried individual pizzas. . . The Brooklyn bridge plus mushroom, the Garden plus chicken and the Garden plus pepperoni. The crust is spectacular! The flavor is so fresh. It's unlike any pizza place in the area due to the coal fired oven. Finally we tried the tiramisu and cheesecake trio. All desserts are made there, are fairly priced, and seriously delicious! Stopped in for the free birthday pizza and was amazed by the freshness of the ricotta, sauce and tasty sausage. What an awesome light and tender crust! Wood fire oven always the best. Illy espresso in the cappuccino makes for a full bodied and robust coffee that goes down smooth and delicious. Staff was welcoming and friendly with perfectly timed stops. I usually wait for a place to be open several months before checking it out, but was out and about and was craving some pizza. We didn't experience any new restaurant opening woes and our server did a great job of walking us through the menu. We arrived right when they opened and the restaurant soon filled up. Love the interior and the wine bottle lights throughout. Who doesn't love some Sinatra with their pizza. The menu is limited to salads, pizza and calzones. Unfortunately no kids menu (so if your little one doesn't eat pizza make sure you have something for them with you). We tried the Caprese salad, Margherita pizza and the Brooklyn Bridge pizza. The Brooklyn Bridge was the standout item for us and would highly recommend. The Caprese was a letdown for us; the tomatoes were not very ripe and lacked flavor.If you have room try the Pumpkin cheesecake! Grimaldi's is a nice addition to The Corners! read more

Visited for lunch last week. Bad experience all the way around. Construction noise outside was unbearable, water tasted terrible and the pizza was very soggy! Complained about the water immediately, it tasted like flat carbonated water. Was told they take it from the soda machine and others were complaining about it. When we brought the soggy pizza to their attention they said we only have one cook today doing everything. Long story short our party of 4 will not return!!!! Hungry? Thirsty? Don't go here Sooooooo I had been warned that this pizzeria taking forever getting pizza out to tables... But! If you sit at the bar, pizza comes out pretty fast. So me and a few friends decided to go check out the food truck get together at The Corners. Arriving at 7ish proved to be difficult as all lines were backed up 40 people deep. "Whatever, lets go get some pizza" So we head into Grimaldi's, promptly find three bar spots, and order a round of drinks. Roughly 7:20. We order food around 7:30 (Antipasto and a large pizza) I finish my drink at around 7:50 and push it forward, same time as our App comes out... Nom nom nom Foods pretty decent. But man am I thirsty. The bartender continuously passes my empty glass without even looking at me. My friend actually has to holler at her for another drink for himself, which he gets. Now I don't think I have to let a bartender know when my drinks empty, or that I need another one when it's pushed forward. So I keep my mouth shut and continue conversing with my friends. At around 8:15, I'm reaching my limit. The bartender goes to the end of the bar and starts talking with a male patron. Meanwhile another staff member comes back to wash dishes right in front of us. When my buddy asks for another drink, she shakes her head and points down towards to the bartender. He eventually receives his new drink... but still no acknowledgement of mine sitting there. So at 8:30, one hour after ordering the pizza and my initial drink, we ask the bartender to cancel our pizza and for the check. This is after she's been talking with the patron at the end of the bar for 15/20min. When she delivers the check, I decide to take it. As she hands me the check, she says "Would you like anything else to drink" in a very snarky and rude demeanor. I would imagine her coworker had tolls her about my conversation I was having with my friends about how unprofessional this establishment is and how little they care about their customers. Easily the worst bar experience I've had... So I pay the ridiculous amount for our drinks and one appetizer, and we head out. I can honestly say I didn't leave a tip, which is a first for me. The cook behind the glass was super friendly and busted out an extra dough to toss for my kids and answered all their questions with patience and kindness. They've got some interesting combinations, and the place itself has nice ambiance even though I tend to get my 'za from here to go (it's on my way back home from a place I work once a week). The service is outstanding, I was first here for a YELP Elite event and of course they are going to be on their toes for that but I've been back here since a couple of times and I do like the way they treat me. I don't think the prices are high but rather quite in line with the decor and quality of ingredients.
