    Pizzas being made!

We stopped here to celebrate a birthday and I'll admit I was extremely reticent due to past reviews. However, we were pleasantly surprised at our very normal evening here. The restaurant is a large open space with traditional pizzeria garb - red and white checkered tables, wine bottle chandeliers (very cute) and garage doors that open for patio dining. We ordered drinks and received them pretty quickly. They were out of an IPA on tap but they thankfully had a few choices with taps and bottles. Also, plenty of wine and cocktails. Our server was very nice and patient with us as we were contemplating our food choices. The small mediterranean salad was pretty big and we were able to share amongst our table. We ended up splitting 2 18 in pizzas amongst 6 adults and it worked out pretty well. My only gripe is the price - expensive for a thin crust pizza. However, the group agreed it was pretty good and many said they'd come back. Also wish they had drink pricing online but you just have to wait to be surprised by their selection. We got our drinks and food timely and dinner actually went much faster than we were planning. We also saw a large salad on our way out and it was a huge platter - well worth it to get a large salad for a group for just a few bucks more. The birthday boy received a small cannoli for his birthday, too.

Stopped in for an impromptu lunch while shopping at the corners of Brookfield. We were seated right away, and our server was very friendly. We started with the bruschetta trio which included three different types of bruschetta all were pretty good, but I will say that the classic was my favorite. We ordered the arugula prosciutto pizza at the recommendation of our server. This is typically one of my favorite pizzas and it was good, but the flavor was missing something and there was too much arugula not enough prosciutto. We ended with dessert a tiramisu, which was absolutely amazing overall, our experience was good but next time I think I would try a different pizza

Stopped in for a late lunch today. We were greeted snd seated right away. Pizza/ food smelled amazing! Told our server it was our 1st visit and she explained the style of pizza they served! We looked over the menu and ordered a small house salad! Which was actually huge portion enough for two people. Then we had a cheese, green pepper , onion & mushroom pizza! It was very good! Place is cute and very east coast nostalgia !

Easily accessible in the shopping center with plenty of parking. We ate around 8 and were able to get right in on the patio. The patio is dog friendly and they kindly provided water for the dogs. The atmosphere was quite and server was very friendly and accommodating. We started with the Bruschetta. Tomato and Basil and a Marinated artichoke. They allowed us to swap one which seemed east enough. The tomato basil was good. I think we preferred the artichoke more. Pizza we ordered the Don half without pepperoni. It was a thinner crust than we expected but it was quite tasty. Toppings were good as well. If you're expecting thick crust or heaps of toppings this isn't for you. We left very comfortable with our choice and portions. Would definitely recommend!

Love the pizza. One of our top go to's! Wood fired. Salads just ok. Always seems heavy on dressings.

Information on Skatterbrain is next to non-existent, but I can tell you that my "research" revealed all of their whiskeys share one thing in common (well maybe two if you include they're all fun flavors). That commonality is they all have an animal wearing sunglasses on the bottle. In the case of the Dark Chocolate banana Whiskey, it's appropriately a gorilla. Total Wine (where I purchased it) describes it as smooth Canadian whisky blended with the flavors of dark chocolate and banana with rich, fruity, and complex qualities. I question the reliability of that though as Skatterbrain spells it as "whiskey" on their bottle, which is typical of American and Irish Whiskey, but not Canadian "Whisky". I found the chocolate flavor to be stronger than the banana, but the two make an interesting combo. I wasn't bananas about it initially, but it grew on me, making it an acquired taste. I don't know how others drink this, but I found it worked nicely in my version of a "Dirty Monkey" (recipe below). Although I found this whiskey to my liking, I still prefer my go to banana rum for this type of drink. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews Doughboy Dirty Monkey: -30-50ml Dark Chocolate Banana Whiskey -5 oz milk of choice -1 tsp sugar free chocolate syrup -21g chocolate protein powder -1/4 diced large banana or 1/3 medium banana -1 tsp peanut butter -4 medium sized ice cubs -approximately 1/2 tsp xanthan gum to thicken -Blend well in a standard blender, pour and enjoy

The waitstaff will walk you through how that works your first time. We started with some of the taste & share plates - showing off WI cheese to the out of towners - and then a few people shared some gnocchi and beef tartare while a couple people got burgers. We had maybe 4 bites leftover, and no room for dessert, it was a personal victory. I'm sad I didn't get photos because I love the feel of each unique area that's here. The restaurant is bigger than you think because it's subdivided into smaller rooms. We had a group of 7 for a work event (which meant I kept my phone put away) and were in a cozy little nook in the back by ourselves, I'd never even noticed this little spot. What a fantastic time we had!

It's a great environment with a lot of good drink options. I always opt for the Parker rolls which are tasty but again expensive for the amount you get, I typically order the trout (which until coming here I didn't realize was essentially the same as salmon). It's very good and the potato pancake is a nice touch. Over my visits I've also enjoyed trying the short rib gnocchi, butter chicken, and brussels. They also have a small party room which I have attended an event in before which is always a nice touch. It's secluded and of course much quieter than their main dining area which can get pretty loud!
