Casual and cheap. The food is pretty basic, but it did the trick. Great for a fairly quick and easy lunch. Not a lot of veggie options, but enough. My husband ordered the veggie sandwich and I had a breakfast wrap. They make a mean hot sauce here. Super spicy, but delicious. Just the thing for the rather plain wrap. The owner is very friendly.

Family owned resto with great food and reasonable prices. Owner, Mark, is delightful and the resto faces stunning views of Mt Currie. Hubby and I ate Greek salad and a delish quinoa salad with squash and cranberries. Lots of pizza action but instead my eyes were on the freshly baked pies. Bought a whole blueberry pie to bring back to share with the fam.

They know how to do great sunny side eggs, and the pancakes are heaven!

The best pancakes on earth are found at Grimm's! Everything else for breakfast is top tier awesome, but I really had no idea that a pancake could be that good. They were legendary! The coffee is great, and they have several flavors to choose from, but... pancakes. All other pancakes are a lie. Also, the staff is just lovely! #Pancakes

Loved this breakfast place! Opens early. My favorite is the loaded breakfast burrito. Owners made us feel welcome. I highly recommend it.

It's rustic in that honest, country way: wood, warmth, and a smallish-town Squamish vibe that makes you slow down whether you meant to or not. The location does half the work for the ambiance, the rest comes from the feeling that someone actually cares about feeding you well. This is home-cooked brunch with intention. Portions are generous without being sloppy, and every plate feels thought out, like it's been tested by real people who eat breakfast for a living. The pancakes are the headline act--huge, fluffy, unapologetic, and exactly what you want when you're leaning back in your chair wondering if you should order another coffee or surrender to a food coma. And if the night before got a little loose, the double Caesar is a public service: bracing, restorative, and delivered without judgment - oh my aching head. What really seals it, though, is the staff--genuinely welcoming, on their game, and clearly proud of the place. The Crabapple Café isn't trying to be trendy or precious. It's just very good at what it does. A must-try in Squamish, especially if you believe breakfast should be comforting, filling, and a little bit healing. This is not our first time, and definitely not our last. The cafe has become our way station before heading up to Whistler. CHEERS!!!

I tried the maple matcha. I didn't see a regular one. But i Think I would prefer a non sweetened version. I'm site they have it. Otherwise it was super tasty. I also tried the provisions breakfast sandwich with a crispy poached egg. It should come with a warning label because the yolk really pops and can create quite a mess. We also enjoyed a morning bun. It's citrusy, sweet, crunchy, perf morning treat! Overall if we hadn't hit the rush it would have been a perfect experience.

Looked like there were a lot of nice brunch and crepe options, but we came for one thing and that was fondue. It came win baguette but we added on vegetables for a little freshness which was super nice. Maybe the crepes are life-changing. I'll never know. Because before a single bite arrived, I found myself wedged into a booth apparently designed by someone whose primary experience with human comfort came from observing luggage. Imagine a UK telephone booth, but with less legroom and more resentment. The seats are hard wooden slats stretched over napkin storage. The backrest meets your spine at a perfect ninety-degree angle, as if hospitality was replaced by an ergonomic experiment gone horribly wrong. This particular "table" occupies what can only be described as former storage space. Across from you is a wall so close it feels actively interested in your personal affairs. The entire arrangement creates the sensation of being slowly entombed while waiting for brunch. Claustrophobics, take note: this isn't dining, it's exposure therapy. Overhead hangs a single industrial light fixture positioned with surgical precision to illuminate every flaw in your existence while simultaneously searing your retinas. It's less ambient lighting and more interrogation room chic. Then came the coffee. The cream separated on contact, forming an oily slick across the surface that brought to mind environmental disasters of historic significance. The only thing missing was a cleanup crew and a congressional inquiry. Along the rim of the creamer, the dairy had evolved beyond cream and entered its butter phase, suggesting it had been sitting there long enough to witness several ski seasons. At that point, the decision became remarkably simple. Maybe the crepes are spectacular. Maybe they're the finest in British Columbia. Maybe angels descend from the mountains to bless each plate. I'll never know. Life is short. Booths are small. Coffee shouldn't resemble a petrochemical incident. We left. And we won't be back.

We did check the weather when we left home but we didn't acclimate quickly enough after the summer to understand what low single-digit temperatures really meant. After a brisk walk along the boardwalk and downtown, we quickly needed to find a warm place for a hefty breakfast. It was the only diner type restaurant open mid morning on Cleveland. It looked good from the outside so we went straight in. We were seated right away. There are many typical options on the breakfast and lunch menus. We both had The Usual breakfast - 2 eggs, choice of meat, choice of toast, fried potatoes, and a portion of mixed fruits. I had sausages which were plump and juicy. The fried sliced potatoes looked different from how fried potatoes / hash would usually be served in a diner but they tasted good I like that you can stack a few of them up and cut through them, like eating stacks of mini pancakes. But potatoes trump pancakes anytime and any day.

We waited 1.5hr to be served our food with only 3 other people ahead of us waiting for their food. The place was empty and only 3 plates were served at a time to each of us. The fruit portion was just two VERY thin apple slices and one grape for the food decor on each plate! The food portions were the smallest I've ever seen for diner food options. We had to wait so long that we had to go down to the coffee shop down a few stores to get lattes and pastries (Sunflower Bakery & Cafe I recommend hands down) while we waited. The server had an attitude and was the only person taking the orders and busing the tables (the dishes from other tables were not picked up). Yes one person managing the customers but I honestly felt she had time to pick up the dishes around other tables and ask if we needed any coffee or water. There were no other customers after us that came in. The few that did walk in were told the restaurant was closed. There was one syrup container and that my son had to ask to barrow from the other table still finishing up the meal. The potatoes on our plate seemed like they were from a frozen bag and reheated on a pan, no taste or seasoning on them. Sausages were not seasoned and no flavor to them. The pictures on the previous reviews do not compare or come close to what we were served. The food did not make any of us sick and the restaurant was clean that is the only reason this restaurant is getting two stars on my review. Would I ever come here, Absolutely NEVER! Go to Sunflower Bakery & Cafe they serve you delicious coffees and amazing pastries and other breakfast items!
