What a disappointment. Was hoping for a hidden local gem, instead found an over priced barely average lump of coal. Went for the chicken parm, since it was listed as the local favorite. Staff played up that it came with salad and bread for the table. Bread for the table in an Italian restaurant should not be part of the price of the meal. Strike 1. Salad came out, which I'm pretty sure was a grocery store based salad with old hard croutons presented in a tiny bowl. Strike 2. The chicken parm was seved over linguine drowning in a bland house tomato sauce. Chicken was bland but covered in cheese so that helped. Sadly the Alfredo was worse. A flour milk sauce with absolutely no flavor - even salt and pepper couldn't help it. Strike 3. And the price was $30-$32. For this kind of money, I expect much higher quality. The one bright spot was pur server Brad who tried his best despite the poor quality food. Plenty of other places in town that are 1000 times better quality for equal or less dollars. read more

I was so pleasantly surprised by the wonderful people working here. In life, it's the people that matters, and considering this is a very touristy area, it was refreshing to meet such down to Earth folks. The space is small, so they cannot sit larger groups. Don't be afraid of the high prices! The main dinner entrees come with a soup or salad, so it is very filling. Caesar Salad (3/5): A classic. Nothing crazy, nothing bad. Chicken Parmesan (4/5): The Chicken Parmesan was not as crispy as I prefer, but it was very flavorful. When my husband and I visited last month, this place was phenomenal! This restaurant is a truly a hidden gem. It is tucked away in a corner, but I truly think there should always be a line out of the door. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They helped us determine what to eat and the choices did not disappoint. The restaurant itself is quite warm, I suggest to wear shorts and a T-shirt! The portions were big and we had to take them home. We were completely full and we had no room for dessert unfortunately. We came here for dinner one night with our party of 8 (and a baby). They don't take reservations and have a sign that says no parties larger then 6, but the timing worked out and they were able to push the two tables at the very back along the wall together to seat our party. The hostess was awesome and so was the rest of the staff. The menu is straight forward and full of housemade pasta goodness. All of the meals come with either a soup or salad and of course bread for the table. This eliminated the need to get any appetizers as they don't really have any on the menu anyway. I went at lunch to get their spinach cesare with a mixture of alfredo and basil and plum tomato sauce, added by chicken parmigiana cutlet. They serve it with a piece of bread and you can grab a butter from a counter for the bread.The chicken is flavorful and the meat is tender. Their pasta is al dente and their sauce is a great mix too. Another great find that is sort of off the beaten path. Pasta Lupino is located about a block or so away from the main Whistler Ski area. It's a great place to get away from the crowds, get great food at a more reasonable price. The dining room is a tad small but we were able to get a spot at the high top for three with no problem. Not many frills to it other than walk up, order your food, grab some water and cutlery and grab a seat. The food was really good and came out in relatively short time. While we were staying in Whistler, we were staying right across the street from this restaurant with our two kids who also like Italian food. We ordered takeout from this restaurant after trying to go and dine but they're being a wait and the service staff not really greeting us in a welcoming manner. It turned out to be a good decision, and we waited about 15 minutes for our food to be prepared. For food, we ordered the pasta with the spicy sausage, the lasagna, and the half order of pasta for the kids with the pink sauce. All of the pastas came with some delicious focaccia bread that was really very good. We also got a salad that was nice and fresh and big enough for two to share. The lasagna was quite good, the sauce was delicious, the portion was filling, and the pasta itself was al dente. The sausage pasta was OK, but lacking a little bit of excitement but the pink sauce pasta was actually quite amazing. This is a hidden treasure of Whistler. It's away from the main stroll and very much worth tracking down. We've eaten there multiple times and have always been thrilled with the food. This cozy spot is just hit after hit. We came here last year for spring break week and ate at Pasta Lupino 4x. Now we are back again and it's as good as we remembered. Greatest hits: pasta alfredo (get the linguine with serrated edges), meat lasagna, spaghettini with meatballs, lemony Caesar salad. Pro tips: order a side of chicken cutlet parm instead of the full parm entree so you can save space and try more things. Pasta Lupino is one of our fave Whistler spots -- we go every trip! The portions are well-sized and pretty cheap, they have customizable options to appeal to everyone in your group, and every pasta comes with free bread for the table and a starter soup or salad! There are plenty of meat options and vegetarian options, as well as vegan. They make all their pasta noodles fresh in-house, which means they have egg in them, so if you're a strict vegan just let your server know. They have gnocchi on hand (not housemade) for gluten free folks, and turns out it's also vegan! So as a vegan I was able to get gnocchi with arabbiata sauce (spicy tomato), but the plain red sauce is also vegan. The salad option is vegan, and they typically have two seasonal soups. When we went this time, one had chicken, and the other was an artichoke tomato lentil stew that was vegan and delicious. Such friendly people and tasty food! They don't take reservations and it's quite small, so get there early or be prepared to wait. It's worth it! Absolutely amazing dinner. We ordered the chicken parm and the meat lasagna. Each entree came with side; we got the Caesar salad and beet borscht soup. The soup was wonderful. Entrees came with portion sizes so big we could have split (mainly because we ate probably an entire loaf of the house made focaccia bread)! All the pasta is home made, even in the lasagna! Started off with bread + oil/vinegar and Caesar salad which were not bad. Nothing too special, but tasted perfectly fine. For the main, we ordered the Chicken Parmigiana with their homemade pasta. I must say this is the worst "Italian" food I've had in awhile. Pasta was undercooked and did not have a great texture. The chicken was over cooked/dry and was poorly seasoned. If this is considered the locals favorite then I question the local community's taste buds. read more

For a small restaurant that makes its own pasta, I had higher expectations. We waited outside for our table and it looked like they took the time in clearing the table - of which I would hope they want to move slightly faster for the faster turnover. The food came slower than I expected. The time between we sat down and they are ready for my order also took longer than expected. In the end, it took about an hour from the time we sat down, order, ate the bread, ate the appetizers for the main course to arrive. The portions were smaller than I expected but the price includes an appetizer. All the linguine/pasta seemed fine except for the Linguine Alfredo Herb-roasted chicken breast - some were stuck together. We wanted to find a casual restaurant for dinner that is inexpensive when we found out about Pasta Lupino Gourmet, while we were visiting Whistler. The reviews on Yelp seemed great and they apparently make their pasta from scratch, so we decided to try it. The restaurant was quite small and they even had a sign outside that said they cannot sit parties with more than 6 people. But lucky, we only had 5 people and we were here on a weekday, so we only had to wait about 10 mins to get a table. By looking at the menu, it appeared that they will charge extra if 2 persons split a meal. However, you can get around this restriction by ordering from the kids menu which had half portion pasta. The prices of the half portions are exactly half of the prices for the full-size pasta, which was what I got since I wasn't feeling particularly hungry as the weather was really hot. I got the spinach pasta with rose sauce. I noticed that they didn't even blend the rose sauce correctly, as they basically just drizzled a layer of white sauce and another layer of red sauce on top of the pasta. The pasta and the sauce all tasted good however, though unfortunately there weren't any meat in the rose sauce. So yeah, pretty mediocre dinner, but at least we didn't break the bank dining at a restaurant at the Whistler Blackcomb village, and that earns extra points in my mind. read more

First time visiting here based on recommendations of concierge. Wasn't disappointed. They had me a fresh pasta! The service was great. When we arrived it was full (they don't take reservations) but they put us on a wait list. It was worth the wait. We started with fresh bread with olive oil/balsamic vinegar starter and ordered two appys. One comes with dinner. We had the Thai soup ( made in-house by the chef himself). The flavor was like a party in your mouth. Could have made a meal of just that. The second was the garden salad. A large was good for two people. Came with oil and vinegarette dressing. Also served cold and refreshing compliment to the soup. The chicken parmesan was the main dish. Also delicious. Pasta served eldente. As we split a meal (light eaters) you need to order at least another appy otherwise face a meal surcharge. Overall service and eats were great. Will definitely come back. read more

Been to Whistler three times (I live in the US) and each time we eat here. The bread is very tasty. It's hard not to get full on that before the meal arrives. The pasta is fresh and you can really taste it. My favorite sauce is the bolognese. My recommendation is to get there early, as the seating area is limited and the wait can be long. Not so bad in Dec '21 (the whole town seemed quieter; I'm guessing covid limiting travelers) but the previous trips we've seen long waits. read more

Holy smokes! This place came up on a Google search when we were looking for dinner in Whistler and literally I am SO glad we decided to give it a chance. First of all, it's soooo cute! A little romantic, Italian hole in the wall in the village. It had such an authentic feel and all of the staff were so kind and attentive. Next, the food was absolutely delicious! I got the chicken parm dish - the pasta was LEGIT (must have been handmade), the sauce was just perfect, and the chicken parm was some of the best I ever had. My husband got the spaghetti arrabiata with chicken parm on top. It was just as good, if not better because the arrabiata was perfectly flavored/spicy. We were SO SO SO happy with our meals, like it was one of the best italian meals we ever had. Lastly, it was so affordable! We couldn't believe the prices. Totally worth every penny and more. We stopped by for lunch and pasta was reasonably priced especially for Whistler pricing. I ordered the sliced sausage arrabbiata and my date ordered a "choose your own pasta and sauce" entree. This is a self service sort of restaurant. You place your order at the cash register, help yourself to water and cutlery and seat yourself at a table. Food did not take long to arrive. A slice of bread was included with the pasta entree. The portion size was good. Pasta was definitely the fresh variety. The sauce was spicy and there was a decent amount of sausage slices. A friend recommended this gem to us for a date night and I'm super glad we stopped by. The pasta was delicious, the tiramisu was the epitome of perfection, and the servers made us feel like we were part of the family. They also had a $49 dinner menu that INCLUDES wine that we were unable to take advantage of this time. Did I also mention the fact that they MAKE THEIR OWN PASTA? I had the build your own pasta with the spinach cesare and alfredo sauce. You had the option of adding a protein but they didn't have any seafood on the menu and I didn't feel like having something meaty. Still, I enjoyed my meal immensely. The pasta was chewy and held the sauce really well. My hubby had the veggie lasagna and I would have to say that it was the best lasagna we've ever had. EVER. It was juicy and hearty and you didn't even miss the meat. But the true star of this meal was the tiramisu. It was utter perfection. The biscuit was thoroughly soaked in a delectable espresso with a really strong kick and the marscapone was not too sweet. The booze added the perfect amount of flavour and warmth. I finished the whole thing even though I was stuffed. The dinner also came with bread and a side of balsamic vinegarette + olive oil for dipping as well as a starter.
