Super friendly staff. Amazing choices. Breakfast and lunch options. As well as vegan choices. Staff very helpful when trying to decide. Baked goods, hot foods, FANTASTIC soups. A must stop in kinda place. Do it enough and they have ya memorized and it's made before you get to the register.

Until this week, when we finally had a chance to visit the shop! The cutout cookies are AMAZING, like the best I've ever had. And they're adorable! The designs are constantly changing with the seasons and holidays. But they have other delicious things to choose from too. Cookies, brownies, cupcakes, the list goes on! You can find Sweet Blessings right on Main St in Shortsville. I've always been a sucker for these quaint little small town Main St shops, and this one is no different. There are cute signs in the window and a delicious smell greets you as you open the door to enter. There are tables and chairs strewn about if you want to stay and enjoy your baked goods. At the counter there is a display with a nice selection of treats, and they are constantly rotating stock. Behind the counter you can see cookies and other delicious goodies getting their finishing touches added on. I highly recommend if you've got a sweet tooth, are looking for a spot to have a treat and meet up with friends, or have a gathering you are looking to bring goodies to!

She brought pictures with her showing what we liked and explained that we didn't want what the picture showed just parts of it. When they picked up the cake it was nothing that we expected. The top was a cupcake and we said we didn't want that. We wanted a plain flat top to the cake. The pink was not the right color and the zebra work was terrible. It was a 4 tier cake, but it was tiny. Extra money was paid for fondant but there wasn't fondant on the cake. The cake tasted terrible and the frosting was gross too. I'm not sure what they use, but I have gotten better tasting frosting from a jar. The cake flavor was even wrong. We thought it was going to be a layer of vanilla, marble and the top two chocolate. Nope, we got 3 chocolate layers and 1 vanilla. Over all I would recommend people to find a different bakery to go too. Not worth what we paid.

Who runs a business like this with out refreshments?????? Besides the rudeness, she was completely unprofessional ( sitting on customers laps) and laughing as I left. This is a shame, as there aren't enough small businesses around this area.

But after…read moretrying this bakery on the penultimate day of a vacation, we had to come back to stock up on our final day. We collectively tried the olive ciabatta, three kinds of croissants, a flatbread, an epi bread, and maybe a couple of other things I am forgetting. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. I love the vibe of the place, I love the logo they stamp on their bags, I love that they threw in an extra pastry because we bought so much on that last day, and I love the location just across from the river. (First-time visitors should note that you enter the bakery from the back of the building that faces Water St.) Perhaps the strongest endorsement came from my partner's 14-year-old son, who gave the almond croissant a 10/10. When I asked him to rate the almond croissant that he loves from a bakery local to us, he gave it an 8.5/10. Follow-up questioning revealed that the chocolate croissants from the two bakeries merited a 9.5 and 8, respectively. Oh, and if you call earlier in the day they will hold things for you if you won't be able to make it in until later in the day.

Both were great and would happily eat either again! The chooclate croissant had a soft chocolate filling as opposed to a harder chocolate. I liked the bostock better but both were yummy. A small hole in the wall by a river. We ate our pastries on a swing across the river. Everyone in the area is super friendly. Good vibes and good pastries.

Kind of sad to see it gone after seeing it my entire life. There is a bakery there now. It's basically strictly...order and pick it up type of place. They sell cookies and other pastries at the front. It's a "help yourself" and you scan a QR code to pay. So! Ok, I do love the new technology where you can eat out and scan a QR code and pay that way. Or using a QR code for so many other things. I don't however like this set up. I think it's really weird. Cash is also an option here. I wanted to originally pay cash. I got 2 cookies and a brownie. Says "ring bell if you need change" I press the little button 3x and I can see people in the back. Not one person came out after I hit the button. That's booooo! It's like, why have it if you're going to ignore it?! Just close the doors to the public and have it strictly as an online business. I love love trying bakeries like this vs buying anything store bought. When I'm home, I look for places like this, Amish farms, Mennonite farms..any place that sells fresh baked cookies. In Idaho we don't have many great bakeries and if they are around...they are miles away and driving in Boise traffic these days is SO NOT worth the hassle for a cookie lol Also, if really don't eat many cookies and stuff but shoooot when I'm here in NY visiting and I'm close to Amish and Mennonite farms where they make INCREDIBLE baked goods...I definitely indulge lol. The cookies here and brownies were... ya know, good, but would I write home to mama about them? Nah. Hell, I'm staying at my moms and I didn't even tell her about them after I ate them. The cookies were pipe $2 a piece, I think, small brownie was $3. Honestly, cookies should be .75 and brownies... $1.00 There was really no variation in tastes between the two. They use something in their baked goods that made each one taste exactly the same...except you obviously could taste the chocolate on top of whatever they use, in the brownie. Would I recommend? I mean, maybe? If someone asked, I'd be like "there's a bakery in downtown Geneva, buuuut..." and then shrug my shoulders and give that crooked mouth look like... meh Now, maybe their cakes and whatever else they make are bomb af. I'll never know bc 1) I won't be going back lol and 2) I don't see myself ever buying a cake. Again, I see bakeries like this, it's a small business, I love supporting small businesses especially in a town where I grew up, went to high school in, etc...I see them and have to try. I tried it and now... I'm good: I can't say anything about the staff, because they ignored me lol, the place is small, it's clean. It's a bakery haha! Thanks for reading. Cheers, YelperSweets!
