Had a slice of pizza. Can't say that I was a fan of the pizza. It was a "cracker" crust and had a Parmesan cheese after taste. The other ingredients were good and plentiful. Also tried the South Philly while it did remind me a cheese steak that I have eaten in Philadelphia, it didn't have enough flavor for my taste. The sandwich came with home made chips. The chips were perfect.

I give this place a very mediocre rating...as it was underwhelming and not special at all. The indie is the place is kinda cool. They have some neat repurposed items. But the food was very meh as a whole.

Great ambiance for concerts or just chillin outside on a nice day!! I love their philly cheesesteaks (especially with extra banana peppers). I don't like their pizza that much, but the philly makes up for it.

Our server at Taps on Main recommended this spot- said it was featured on food network and a popular spot to pop into while bouncing around nearby breweries and bars. It was definitely a busy spot- we sat at the bar but would sit outside out back if the weather was a little warmer. We had a few beers and an app (funky dough). It was different than we imagined. We pictured more of cheesy dough bites similar to pretzel bites but it came out as a flat cheesy bread. It was still good and the dipping sauce was AMAZING! I think I could just drink the sauce it was that good. We took a wrap to go- we shared the west clubber. The garlic aioli gave it good flavor. Served with a side of kettle chips that were flavorful. Overall good experience- the bartender seemed a little agitated at times but we chalked it up to a busy night

This place is one of the best pizza places in Kansas City! Even though I didn't end up getting to take a picture of what I had, it was delicious. For an appetizer, we ordered the cheese bread and it was to die for and it was a very big portion. There's a variety of different things that you can try here but scanning the room everybody's food look delicious and so did my boyfriend and I's food. The staff is very friendly and helpful and if you have any questions, they're happy to answer them, and the food comes out relatively quick not to mention that the decor in this place is super cool.

The Le Hog is absolutely a delicious pizza! I'd get this again for sure. The Caesar salad is good. My husbands custom pizza was good. The Stretch Philly was delicious. I'd like to try other things on the menu, but I'll always get at least one slice of the Le Hog every time I'm here. The ambiance is very fun. Great location.

Grinders is the place to go for a generously sized calzone filled with loads of your favorite toppings. It's enough to feed two. The menu and our waitress warned us that it would take about 20 minutes to cook, which we didn't mind. There are a few board games available to play, and we chose to play a quick game of Scrabble while we waited. Honestly, the wait didn't seem long at all and the calzone was worth it. A solid choice if you're looking for a good calzone.

If you love a cheesesteak sandwich you might want to check this out, the place features great pizzas and Philly cheesesteaks. They have a fun music venue out back and you can catch some good concerts here. I have had both the pizza and the sandwich's and you can go wrong with either one. They also have a wide variety of craft beer and cocktails.

Grinders is a great lunch spot specifically if it's the weekend and you're looking for food and a beer. They have a great beer menu with good craft beers on the list. But I must emphasize the food's awesome. The pizza is good. It always seems like the most popular item though is the Philly. I will say the Philly is what I usually order just because it's hard for me to stray away from that. If the weather permits, I suggest grabbing a table outside.

Went on a Sunday for lunch. Fun, quirky, eclectic vibe with lots to look at. We weren't the only customers, but place wasn't overly busy yet. Waitress dropped off the menus but feel like once we ordered and she knew we weren't drinking anything but water we never saw her other than to drop our food off and to drop our check off. Water glasses were never refilled. My husband got a meatball sub which lacked much in the way of sauce. I got a stretch Philly, which was a combination of pastrami and steak without much taste. Being born and raised in Philly, this was disappointing. Husband upgraded side of chips to tots and 2 sandwiches with water was 40.00 with tax/tip.

It boasts to be New York style pizza, and that it is, it is thin, chewy, a bit chary, and all over delicious. But, in all honesty, the service can be spotty. I used to hail Grinders to be a tried and true KC dive institution. It has been on triple D (if you know the Guy and Stretch lore, then you know), but it's lost some of its spark. Some days, the service is just the right amount of flippant, and other days, I have been flat out ignored and ventured elsewhere. But, I have to admit the pizza is where it's at! We've had other New York style transplants come try to invade upon the territory Grinders has had for years (probably decades) however, this place holds up to its own local KC lore with the quality of their food and the ever rotating dairy specials. The last special slice of the day I had (actually from lunch on the day I'm writing this) was such a gamechanger. I've never liked hamburger or cheeseburger pizza but, good old Grinders changed my mind. The ingredients were all so proportionally chopped up and the minimal mustard was key! Sometimes, the pickle chips used on "traditional" cheeseburger pizza overwhelms the entire experience for me, not here. They used a finely chopped pickle relish mixture that made the eating experience so much better. I could never grow to hate Grinders no matter how they treat me, there's too many memories wrapped up here for me...and for once that's a good thing!

I haven't been to grinder's in YEARS. I used to live in the Crossroads and it was a great hangover cure with friends for brunch. Today we came in for lunch and sat outside in the back. I had a yummy iced tea, my husband just had water. He had a Philly with tots and I had a Cali BLT and a side salad. Good service by the girl and food came out quick. Super easy and reminded me why I loved coming there before.

Before I get into the good things, I have to address the elephant in the room. I've heard SO MANY PEOPLE mention how great the Philly Cheesesteak is at Grinder's, but I have to admit that I wasn't super impressed. It wasn't bad, but I think Chartroose Caboose is much better. But as this is a review of Grinder's, let's get to the good bits; pizza. If you want a greasy, New York style pizza...Grinder's is a great place to visit. As my second favorite for New York style around Kansas City, I find myself grabbing a slice here more often than I probably should if I ever expect to shed a few pounds. My recommendation is the standard Pepperoni which is pricier than your basic national chain pizzas, but that's because you get a MUCH better pizza in terms of taste and quality. Went with a group for lunch and to have a good time with friends. One of my friends made a joke that another guy should be comfortable because there was a 'pride' flag hanging nearby. It was said quietly nothing more was said. Had a staff member come say we weren't welcome because of this comment and we had to leave. So much for people being open minded.. the staff couldn't even state what was said that was so 'offensive'... I won't go back and recommend that anyone not having progressive, close-minded views visit this place or give them a dime... read more

My fiancée and I took a weekend getaway to Kansas City from Omaha. We wanted to check out local places and as always, steer as far away from chains as possible. I jumped on Yelp to see what local favorites were around and happened to stumble upon this spot. This place was hopping, it looked like about 4 people really running things, and they were running. We ordered fries, my fiancée got 2 slices of pepperoni pizza and I decided to try the philly (onions, mushroom and white American cheese) with house made chips. There was a bit of a snaffu when her pizza was brought to the table and nothing else. No worries, they're busy. When the fries and my food came out I was ready to eat. I had tried my fiancées pizza, and boy oh boy, it was so darn good. Honestly reminded me of a New York slice, so good! I took a bite out of my philly and was a bummed that it was kind of cold, still good though so I shrugged it off and ate it anyways. The chips were really good, the fries were alright in my opinion. The winner here was the pizza. If we make our way back to KC I'll definitely be ordering a slice or two! read more

Do you like punk rock with your pizza? Grinders is an expert at serving you your dining guilty pleasures. You can choose between menu items like grinders, calzones, Philly cheese steaks, chicken wings, sandwiches, burgers and of course, their New York-style pizza (by the slice or by the pie.) Of note, the pizzas give you an option of ordering a "chili bomb," which is a pile of tots laid in the middle of your pie covered with chili, nacho cheese and green onions. Yes, I think you know where I'm going with this. If you need a beverage to help you wash your meal down, the restaurant offers a good selection of delicious craft beers. If you're not into beer then sodas and cocktails are also available. So is water if you're pacing yourself. One quick note, please play it a little safe with the chicken wings. I don't want to scare you, but I do want you to know that the Death Nectar is served as advertised and can turn the toughest of us into a mere weakling in a matter of seconds. A cool joint if you're looking for a casual beer or if you and some friends want to eat some tasty wings or a delicious Philly cheesesteak. The inside of this place is full of booming music and throwback classics. It feels very rustic inside with the stickers, writing and wood on the walls. Grinders is known for their Philly cheesesteaks, and they do not play around when you ask for one. I recommend asking for both cheeses on your Philly as you have the option of cheddar or cheese wiz. The tatertots are also super crunchy and very filling. Come check this place out next time you are looking for a lunch spot with some rowdy friends! read more

I've been going to Grinders for years. Have loved the food, vibe, service...everything. I went to lunch there recently and it appears that everything has gone downhill. The servers had great attitudes, but the rest wasn't up to their normal standards. The pizza dough was too floppy and had no outer crust, the portion sizes were like a kid meal (even though you pay $20 for a sandwich and tots), and our order came out in pieces. Apparently most folks had already experienced this, as the place was not crowded at all. Sad! read more

Always a fun place to go when you want a pizza or just relax in a laid back atmosphere with bar type of food. I ordered this last time the half sandwich and salad combo meal Greek salad and a Jax Reuben which hit the spot. I have been here in the past and got the Bengal Tiger pizza which I enjoyed but it wasn't extraordinary. Another time I came alone and ordered a 12" pizza of The Levitt( aka the "Damn Hippie") and I loved it but was only able to eat half which I wasn't upset about since that I get to enjoy it at least one more night. [Side note: I'm a veggie on pizza kind of girl which I am going to lean towards, :) ]. I've been to both the Kansas City that's more 20s/ 30s crowd and Lenexa location is more family/ pub atmosphere at the same time. I'd recommend trying at least once and if you want some bar/ fun food then you'll love it no matter which location you choose to go to. read more

Due to our love of the show, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, we absolutely had to try Grinders while in Kansas City. The Decour was definitely interesting. Kind of a retro meets voodoo diner feel. They also had some throwback rock music playing which didn't seem to go with the decor, but, we definitely enjoyed. The customer service was okay. A little more friendliness would have helped. The hubs is Sketch Philly was good, but, on the small side. The Reuben, however, my oh my was it good! Seriously friends, I am a Reuben snob and this was fantastic! The meat was sliced perfectly with the right bread to meat ratio, and it had a little bit of spice to it that I've never had before. I asked for extra thousand island on the side and barely used it. This would definitely be a problem for me if we lived in Kansas City. The chips seem to be a little stale, but, they tasted OK as long as you got the ones with salt on them. Sorry youngsters! It was simply too loud for this ol' fart. It's a super cool deco/artsy/fartsy atmosphere. The service and servers are outstanding! The cooks are fun, enthusiastic and entertaining. The place is impeccably clean and comfortable. I simply had issues with the ruckus. High (beautifully ornate tin ceilings!) amplified the music/conversations/grill noise. Our tots were yummy. Our grinder was perfect for a young person with no digestive concerns. It tasted great! And SHAME ON ME for not listening to my gut. I would have appreciated the food had I stopped at 1/2 of my six inch sandwich. Pleased to have made your acquaintance! I will happily recommend you to any/all young adults looking for a fun, hip place for lunch. read more

The Vanilla Stout was amazing. Traveled to town for business wanted to try the food after seeing DDD. Disappointed by the "stretch philly", super small and dry. BRE Wings were over cooked and the slice was like thin construction paper. read more

Here's what I appreciate most about this place: they stay TRUE to who they are!! It's a greasy food dive and it's delicious. Nothing fancy, don't expect too much it's just good greasy food - and to do that well, is actually impressive. Another impressive thing, is though a greasy food dive, they do a really good job with allergies! So, Grinders, keep staying true! Pro Tip: Philly Cheese Steak. read more

We went for a quick late night bite. This is the spot where Guy Fieri ate the Bengal Tiger Pizza. Any we got 2 slices of the Margherita and Le Hog. Service was friendly and they got us our slices pretty quick. The margherita was nice. It had a nice flavor. I would have liked them to cook the pizza longer so the crust was more crispy. The le hog was okay. Overall a nice spot to get some pizza. read more

So I gotta say this place is a gem in KC. We ate lots of food on our visit including a local barbecue spot, a local pho place and here. Let me say the staff was very friendly, our uniquely decorated table clean and the food was fresh and hot! I had a fried goat cheese salad... so good. I took pictures of the awesome deals they have during the week and for the happy go lucky. There is an extensive choice of beer(I took a picture of the menu). My husband had a huge delicious philly cheese steak sandwich...tasty. If you're a local or a visitor from out of state like me I highly recommend giving this spot a try. In a city/state filled with bbq meats this was a nice change of pace with great variety. If I'm ever in town again I will be back to try a slice of Goldberg pizza and some other intriguing items! read more

My mom and I came on a Monday afternoon. We split a Philly Cheesesteak and a an order of cheese tots. Grinders is a greasy spoon that is worth the extra trip to the gym. I'm so glad I was finally able to try it while in Kansas City! read more

PATIO!!! If you don't like Grinders then we can't be friends. Pizza, Grinders, beers, patio, live music ... what more could you want!? I'm actually not a big pizza eater so I always like to go "off list" at pizza joints. Apps and sandwiches are super tasty and their homemade meatballs are YumCity. I'm so happy there is another location down south in Lenexa so I can get my fix when I need it. Haven't visited for some music at thus location (still Newbie Kansans) but it's on my KCMO list to do. read more

We stopped in for a quick drink and a slice of pizza. There was a concert taking place behind the restaurant, so it was a little busy. We found parking a few blocks from the restaurant and sat at the bar--no wait. The inside of Grinders is pretty grimy. Everything was sticky--the bar top, the menus, ick. And there were flies all around. Yuck. The kitchen is right in the bar area, so it's pretty warm inside the restaurant. Between the flies and the warm temp inside the restaurant on a hot day, I did not want to stay long. We did order a slice of pizza. Paper thin pizza crust with a nice doughy edge. The sausage was good. Not a lot of cheese. Reminded us of a good NY style pizza. Thumbs up for the pizza. Thumbs down for the cleanliness/atmosphere. Next time, I'll get my pizza to go. read more

First off... the Ciderboys Pina Colada.... AMAZING! It's the perfect summer drink to compliment anything off the bbq or even a pizza. We opted to share a margarita pizza and the Goat Cheese salad... um wow! I'll start first with the fried goat cheese on the salad. Are you serious? It was the most delicious little morsel of goodness. We wanted more... in fact we talked about those little morsels all night! The margarita pizza was good and extra cheesy. YUM! Everything was fairly priced and well made. My only complaint: if you're going to use paper plates, get thicker ones. The oil from the pizza made holes quickly in the paper plates. Overall the service was friendly, fast and efficient. Definitely a must see and super yummy! read more

Food is AMAZING! Our waitress kept our cups full, was very nice, and although we had a baby with us and we don't fit into the scene, we were treated very well here. Brought my little cousins here after taking a walk down graffiti alley and we loved the vibes. Very different from what they're used to in California and they fell in love with the option to write on the walls as they pointed out their favorite sketches. Local and downtown. This place is a pizza joint and all of them are great but venture out and try the Sammie's. Rueben - love it...big meaty helping with jalapeño sauerkraut on the marble bread. Tap on that side of ranch and you have a great lunch. Recommend doing the 2 order and have a side of salad. The full size is big. Philly Cheesesteak with American white cheese...full order is the way to go. You will be huge afterwards but the point is you are ordering a fat Sammie so enjoy each bite. Wings - so so. The sauce has a smoke flavor to it...if you aren't a fan then don't get these. Burgers - so so. Nothing special but nothing wrong with them either. read more

Literally nothing to hate about Grinders. It's just good food! My go tos are the pizza and of course the Phillys. They really are as close to the real deal as you're going to get in the Midwest. We have been ordering it to go mostly due for the pandemic and it's always just as good! Looking forward to going back in person soon. read more

Combine an East-coast inspired menu, art, music, and the Crossroads District. The result is Grinders, a restaurant and space created by STRETCH, an artist and sculptor. If you have not guessed it by now, Grinders is very hip and eclectic. The menu consists of pizza, sandwiches, burgers, and other bites. There is also a large selection of rotating beers. Also, each day of the week has its own food and drink specials. All of the food on the menu seems to be yummy. I have tried the "real crabby" rangoon, pepperoni pizza, le hog pizza, and South Philly cheesesteak. Crab rangoon is a pretty random item to have on the menu here, but it is good. The New York-style pizzas are delicious, and one 18" pizza is perfect for two hungry people. There are some pretty creative pizzas. The Goldberg "Phats" is a pizza with pesto, smoked salmon, and cream cheese. The Bengal Tiger, which was featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives has pesto, tandoori chicken, and crab meat. I really like the le hog pizza, featured on another Food Network show, which has white sauce and a whole lot of meat. The cheesesteak here claims to be the best west of Mississippi. I am not sure if it is the best, but it sure is tasty. If you are looking for a challenge, try the death wings. The menu states that the wings cannot be served to "children under 13 or cry-babies of any age" so try at your own risk. Grinders is located in a pretty busy part of the Crossroads District, but it has its own parking lot. Street parking is an option as well. It can get pretty packed and noisy, especially when there is a concert or event going on, so there may be a wait for a table. The staff and service are both decent. The design of the space is pretty cool and random with plenty of posters and stickers on the wall. Overall, the ambiance and food at Grinders make it a fun and casual place to eat and hang out at. read more

We decided to go to Grinders for dinner last night (Friday) because we had enjoyed the food on previous visits. At 6:00ish there were just a few patrons so, we chose our own seats. The waitress was nice and we had our drinks immediately. I ordered the Baja burger with tots. I was ready for a great, juicy burger so, I was momentarily speechless when my food arrived. Sitting in the bright red basket was the sorriest looking burger I have ever seen. It was the size and depth of a McDonald's kids meal hamburger! The burger was so overcooked it had very little flavor and was hard to chew. I'm hoping it was an off night for the chef..... Throughly disappointed. The tots were great, though. read more

Love the vibe of this place, really upbeat, yet chill in the crossroads arts district! We popped a seat at the bar, the waiters/waitresses were really great. Grabbed a slice of pizza here, the slices here are huge!! So yummy! On Mondays you can get 2 for $5. Tried the death nectar hot sauce -Featured on "Hot Ones." Seriously, 20mins later, my mouth is still on fire. Just one bite, and I felt as though I sat at the cusp of hell. I've raved about the pizza. Oh yes, the pizza, that's a given. Easily the best slice you can get in KC. Easily. And now I've experienced the salad. The thing I love about Grinder's is that they could so easily get away with doing a lame salad that is nothing to write home about because clearly their focus is on that stuff that made them famous for being a triple D. And yet, they serve up possibly the best "light" salad I've had...I daresay ever. By "light salad," I mean one that is not full of stuff that typically makes a salad unhealthy (cobb and Caesar, I'm looking at youse) and I don't know about you, if I'm gonna be eating as many fat grams and calories as there would be in pizza or fries, I'd go with the pizza or the fries! *This* lovely salad was chopped style and came with artichoke hearts, fresh mushrooms, green & black olives, bell pepper, red onion and romaine lettuce. The balsamic vinaigrette is great-on the thicker side and quite tasty. Besides the salad, I had the Sofia pink champagne in a can (see photo). When I travel, I try to find Guy Fieri's "Triple D" establishments. I want to dine in "Flavortown." I ordered the Stretch Philly because it was featured on DDD, according to the menu. It came with an order of chips. One can substitute fries for an additional charge. The bread was fresh and delicious and the meat/cheese were very tasty. I only wish they had actually put some meat on the sandwich. The chips didn't taste really fresh and needed more salt. As mentioned in another review, the staff could be friendlier. I wasn't sure if I ordered at the counter or waited to be seated. The lady I asked was nice enough to make me feel like an idiot and told me to sit wherever I wanted. Half of the tables are "Covid closed" so I went outside. My waitress was a lovely young lady who was very nice. This was not a very good value for the $11 and Lyft fare to get there. I felt so guilty about how little value that I received for the money, I walked back to the hotel. Walking back to the hotel I passed two taco places. My mom ordered one of the salads though, and honestly it looked better than my sandwich. It was loaded with fresh toppings, and she said the ranch was excellent. If I come back, I'd probably skip the sandwich altogether and give one of the salads a try. Overall, I can definitely appreciate what they're going for. The prices are fantastic, honestly unheard of in present day, and that's the main reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 3. Who doesn't love a little kick to their morning toast? They even had a small corn maze in the back of the farm for kids. As well as a sizable bonfire pit set right next to a stream that looks like it's amazing on cool autumn nights. They have a rabbit, three donkeys, and a cat who wonders the property. Being an animal lover I couldn't resist saying hello to the donkeys. One was rather happy to see me pick up the brush and pet him for 10 minutes while the other two eyed me down. When we were there it was quite and peaceful as we were the only customers. Talking with the lady who helped us she said "wait until tomorrow and this place will be full". She went on to tell us that it's mainly busy with school trips during the week and that on Wednesday they had a kindergarten class come through to learn and make their own cider. Did I mention that yet? You can schedule a hayride and make your own fresh squeezed cider!! If that's not a reason to get some friends together this fall then I don't know what is!! If you're looking for a cute intimate farm to get your fresh pumpkins look no further!! This place is worth the drive.

As Elvis Costello would say, Grinders is tragically hip. I used to like the pizza even though the place was owned by self-appointed Crossroads patriarch Stretch. He was, after all, the artist who designed the mediocre sculptures that once stood behind Grinders in what's now "Kansas City's newest concert venue." He was also the guy I saw storm into Pi Gallery on a First Friday, drunk and yelling at anyone who would listen that Pi was bringing the block down with its sub-par art. Egotistical much? I don't know if Stretch is still around, but If the other Grinderites hanging out in the parking-lot-with-porta-potties were even slightly cool, they'd realize concerts are for listening to music. They're not the place to blab at the top of your voice about your friend whose boyfriend is like such a jerk oh my god. I literally ran out of glare the one and only time I tried to see a band there. Andrew Bird is a genius, and I'd seen him live at ACL in Austin so I knew he was good. But nobody who saw him at Grinder's really heard the show because of all the wannabies waiting for Wilco. They weren't stupid because they came to see Wilco, though I imagine they were loud enough to drown the crowd out. Why do I blame Grinder's for their crowd? Because if you're going to hype yourself as a hip, urban concert venue, you need to make the music important. And it needs to be audible for the people who pay to hear it. I could've enjoyed the show almost as much from my car on the street; out there the shrill-voiced women around me would have been drowned out. read more

Say hellooooo! (In George's words) to the best restaurant in Kansas City Missouri! I saw Grinders on "Dinners Drive-in's and Dives" on TV and made a point to visit it when I was in town last Friday. The first person I met was George the Hungarian chef who was cooking on TV a couple of years ago, glad to see he is still there. The restaurant was swarmed with customers, from what I understand there was a city art walk going on, they must have been the only good restaurant around.There was at least 100 customers standing. I had the best Philly Cheezeteak in my life complete with Cheese Wiz and Provolone. (That's right they serve Cheeze Wiz!!!) Regardless of the how busy they were, I started the timer on my I-phone and received my food along with my second beer in nine minutes and 48 seconds exactly. The coolest place I have been in a long time and the best Chhezteak ouside of Philly! read more

I have been here several times now and have a LOVE/HATE relationship with this place... I LOOOOVE their pizzas by the slice (Le Hog is delicious!!!) and the athmosphere, decorations and such. My only issue is with the service, sometimes we've gotten ok/good service but sometimes is just not that great and it kinda kills the mood... like a saturday night I specifically went there because of their $2 mimosa special and was told by the server "we have some but can't serve it tonight, we need it for tomorrow because it is on special on sundays too" Really? Obviously I felt like a "valued" customer!!! this server thought it was better to "save" the drinks for the customers who "might" be there the next day instead of a customer who was already there! :( read more

Well, I just loved my experience at grinders! The moment I walked in with my gal pals we were instantly greeted by an enthusiastic wait staff. We ordered some beer, and boy did they have a fantastic selection! We tried the crabby rangoon, which sounded strange for this type of place, but they were delicious! Then we decided to go with the bengal tiger pizza (which we saw the television show 'diners drive-ins, and dives') and that just blew our taste buds away! We thought the 'chili-bomb' sounded unusual, but our server insisted that we gave it a whirl, and we are so glad that we did! I will definitely go back to grinders, and bring all of my friends and family! :) read more

The cheesesteak was really good and so delicious. Its one of the best sandwiches in town. Delicious stuffing filled with lots of cheese and meat. I love how the flavors taste like a bomb into my mouth in every bite. The tots were so great and well-fried. Not so dry too. They also have great quality of pizza which has nice flavor. Good amount of toppings and the sauce was absolutely great. The big house Le Hog Chili pizza was truly great and every bite was like a bomb. Cool drinks especially the beers! The prices were great. Grinders serves good food & has pretty good drink specials. For those of us living in the Crossroads District, Grinders is a staple. Grinders West has a surprisingly good fresh deli if you don't have time to get to City Market or the grocery store. (You will pay a bit more for the convenience.) Tons of people from the neighborhood meet up for an evening drink on the Grinders' patio. It's a great place to hang out with friends & neighbors. On weekend days, it does become overrun with JoCo folks & their kids, but the rest of the time, it's a hip place to hang. read more

We dined there for lunch yesterday and it was a pleasant restaurant. I enjoyed the food and I was surprise how cool the beer was. I'm glad we end up trying out this restaurant. It was all good and very delicious sandwiches, the Cheesesteak was so meaty and lots of cheese too. The side salad was tasty and fresh. The flavors were balanced too. Went for a casual night out. The place itself is a gallery from the art on the walls to the handmade light fixtures made from metal helmets. The place is small and cozy. The night we were there, the owner was walking around talking to guests. I hear he is there most nights. The food was very good. The pizza crust was perfect. Service was decent, especially considering it was a busy night. I recommend this place for sure. read more

Awesome food with great service! You can't beat that! We had a great waiter, John F. He made great suggestions for our lunch, we had the West Club and the California BLT. Both were awesome with sweet crispy bacon and you choose between bread or wraps! I loved both equally! Sides were a house salad, and the tomato / cucumber salad. Again so good! Get here quick though, the place fills up fast! I will be back for sure! read more

Get a philly and some tots and be done with it. Burgers are above average as is the pizza(I am partial to d'Bronx). Good variety of beer. The only thing that I ever got here that was a big disappointment was their nachos. The only negative is perhaps the noise level at times with the cooks banging their spatulas on the cook top. But you can always sit over at Grinders West or outside if the weather is nice. read more

This place is a great visit for pizza, hot sandwiches, and beer. The staff is great and very friendly. I had read some reviews and decided to visit. The atmosphere is comfortable, there are TVs with sports and whatever to watch, the kitchen is open, and I must say the beer selection is great. What a great experience for lunch! Audrey was great. She made great suggestions for our lunch selection. I ended up with the Cali-BLT and my husband had the West Clubber. Both sandwiches were amazing and served in a great time. The homemade chips were fantastic and they have one of my favorite dark beers on tap!! Win win all around. When I came here for a Christmas party, I witnessed the waitress not card one of my coworkers, who was 19, and gave her alcohol. But when I went to order a drink, they refused to give me anything just because I looked too young. I'll never support a business that is okay with underage drinking and discrimination. read more

Went for pizza after a concert near by, it's our go to place when we're in the area. We ordered pizza and tator tots. Service was fast and helpful, our server took the time to help us pick some good ones from the menu (they have a lot of beer). Fun and very corky place! read more

Ordered the "Real Crabby" Rangoon via Foodsby for lunch at the office. Extremely disappointed after spending $10 for these and there is hardly any filling in ANY of them. You should be ashamed of what you let leave the kitchen. Never trusting this restaurant again. read more
