I made reservations at a new restaurant that I haven't tried before. It is definitely a well established location and has an older clientele, despite that, it still was a vibrant location. The waiter was very helpful with suggestions on the menu and his service was very attentive. It has very large portions. I had steak with side salad and also we had fried mushrooms as well. Those were delicious. I may or may not come back to this location because it is not in my normal area but nothing about the location of food or service would deter me from coming back. We enjoyed our dinner. This restaurant has a good sized dining area and seats at the bar. No One under 21 is allowed. It has an buy Outside area as well, but the weather was not suitable to do so.

Such a great neighborhood restaurant! We came here on a Saturday evening, and it was pretty crowded but we were greeted immediately. Our server was really nice and very helpful as we could not make up our minds (I wish I got her name). We ordered the potato skins and toasted mozzarella as an appetizer. The potato skins were just okay--they seemed a bit overcooked. I heard good things about their steaks, so that's what we went for! I got the filet with a side Caesar salad, and my fiancé ordered the New York strip with rice pilaf and green beans. Both entrees were pretty good! I recommend getting your steak cooked in garlic butter. Overall, a great spot for dinner with friends or a casual date night!

Love this old school seafood spot! Visited here to celebrate a birthday on a Saturday night with a lovely sushi dinner. The place was super busy but we were able to get a table despite not having a reservation. I love the beach inspired decor here as well as the many large fish tanks. Once you're here, you might forget you're in landlocked Indiana! DJ's has some amazing fish dinners but don't sleep on the sushi, honestly it's always been delicious. We chose four rolls and a bowl of lalo miso, a unique spin on traditional miso soup. The rolls were fresh, flavorful and nicely presented. Our server was very friendly, helpful and efficient. We had plenty of time to celebrate and enjoy the meal.

Thank goodness for reservations because this place is hopping even on a weekday night. It's a space from yesteryear which makes it feel warm and cozy. The service here was impecable. Shout out to Lisa who managed our rowdy group and all our requests along with separate checks. Yes they add the gratuity automatically, but she deserved it and more. The food was good. All my guests raved about their dishes. I had ordered the nachos with chili and I hate to say it, but it was just really bland. I'll have to try something else next time. I did try a bit of the soup of the day and it was delicious, nice and full of flavor and with a bit of spice even. The Ceasar salad with salmon not only looked deliious but it was devoured quickly, which is always a good sign. While I didn't personally eat it, the lemon cake looked and was deemed as wonderful by all that tried it. I comes warm, drenched in lemony syrup and dollops of whipped cream.

Daddy Jack's is rumored to be torn down in the up and coming future. We would hate to see this happen as there are many great businesses in this strip center. We came here tonight to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We always have a wonderful dinner with excellent service in a comfortable and warm environment. Since we were experiencing perfect weather on this beautiful evening, we opted to sit on the patio. Indoors is cozy with low lighting with booths, tables, and a large bar. The patio is located directly in front of the entrance. I love so many things on their menu. The menu offers a wide selection of delicious appetizers, numerous selections of sushi rolls (from Kona Jack's), soups, and fresh salads. Diverse selections of wonderful sandwiches or an amazing dinner of steaks, seafood, chicken, or pasta dishes. My husband ordered the Glazed Salmon served with baked potato and rice pilaf. He raved about the perfectly prepared glazed salmon, along with his perfect baked potato. I ordered the super tender Chicken Piccata with a house salad, bleu cheese dressing, and a loaded baked potato. The lemony white sauce is light and flavorful with capers and a touch of garlic. For dessert, try their house-made scrumptious lemon cake served warm and topped with whipped cream. If you've never been to Daddy Jack's, make a point of stopping in. You will not regret it.

The lobster roll was soggy and honestly? Too much. I prefer a classic lobster roll - warm, lobster, bread that still has a little crunch to it (just the tiniest bit), butter - but not too much. This was soggy and the celery situation took away from the essence of a lobster roll for me. I've never liked the lobster salad rolls, and I did make sure there would be no mayo - but I think this was a bit much. Too much butter. Too many toppings. The flavor wasn't amazing. My dad really liked the perch. So much that he didn't let me try it. Lol but it looked good! The fried okra was solid. Kinda hard to mess that up, so no complaints there. Same thing with the fish tacos as the lobster roll. They're very busy. I like tasting my food - not piling the toppings on so things get lost. So, I scraped pretty much everything off. The fish was good! I got my mom the fried oysters. No complaints. Her meal came with two sides, so I got greens and Mac and cheese. I didnt try the Mac, but they said the greens were top tier. They had a nice flavor, but they're spicy - so avoid them if you can't deal with a lot of spice - probably red pepper. They threw in a crab cake for free and I thought that was really sweet of them. I didn't like the way it looked on the inside, so I only nibbled at it. Definitely not what this Maryland girl is used to... the winner is still Commisson Row on crab cakes in Indy so far. Anyway! Cute little tucked away spot, small parking lot, but spacious inside. Quite a few tables and chairs and fresh seafood in the cases. I'd go again and try some different things based on other reviews.

We had the crab cakes and crab & artichoke dip for apps and our lunch entrees were the fried catfish sandwich with fries and the filet with mashed potatoes and collard greens. For bevvies, we tried their rosé and red zeppelin English ale. All of it, every bit and bite, was 10/10. Food breakdown: - Crab cakes: succulent lump crap meat within a lightly battered and flash fried coating. They come on a bed of arugula with a light dressing and dipping sauce for the cakes. Super yummy! - Crab & artichoke dip: ooey gooey deliciousness, perfect balance of cheese sauce too. You don't have to search for the crab or artichokes. And the fried naan chips were sliced long and thin, and could've been called naan fries actually. Perfect companion for the dip. - Fried catfish sammich: the piece of fish was huge and the batter was good. It came on Texas toast with fixins and tartar sauce. Won't lie, the only thing I wanted for was some hot sauce. That's a me problem... just gotta have hot sauce when I eat fried fish but I didn't ask for any while I was there (they may offer it) and still very much enjoyed the sandwich. - Filet: it was great... hubby got it medium and it arrived perfectly cooked. The Demi glaze sauce was so good and so were the sides. Their collard greens are seasoned up! I said does my auntie work here?! This cuisine is so comfortingly southern and didn't disappoint. Shoutout to our friendly and helpful server, Dan... our food and drinks came out quickly and so did our to-go box. His service was truly top notch. We have been living in Carmel for 5 years and this is one of the best restaurants here. If you're on the fence about trying this place, jump off and make a reservation. You won't regret it.

The pimento cheese dip was fine; closer to a nacho cheese dip. Both dips came with too few naan dippers to finish the dip (they charged extra for extra naan to finish the dip). - The cajun pasta was fine. Pasta was cooked well. I got it with chicken, which tasted good. The sauce was fine. - The hot honey chicken tenders were crispy, but lacked flavor. - The CBR chicken sandwich was good. Crispy and good size. - Do not order the side mac n cheese. $6 for some Stouffer's mac n cheese topped with the pimento cheese dip (that's basically nacho cheese dip). Overall, if someone asked to meet here for a meal I would request another restaurant but I'd still eat here if they insisted.

Appetizers - pretty yummy WTF roll - 9/10 had dried Wagyu which made it more savory, rice is chewy (in between sushi rice and sticky rice) could be a little less rice; the potato threads were crispy and yum Wagyu Perogi - 7.5/10 was good, but not as meat focused as I was hoping, filling was very soft but I like the pasta dough (had some chew) Entrees were cooked well, I think the flavors were straightforward and not too complex. Chicken Wellington - the pastry dough was as buttery as biscuits. Sauce had dates and the dish was on the sweeter side (I prefer more savory entrees so this was not my taste) My partner ordered this and he loved it Miso Black Cod Fish was done well and not dry. Broth was a bit one dimensional to me. I thought my soba noodles were gonna be the brown ones but they were thicker like ramen white noodles The herbs really captured the pho broth well. I've noticed the effort put into the menu was done really well. I feel like with food fusion, I noticed a lot of things do end up getting misspelled but I noticed the accent and spelling were all correct on the menu. It has a little kick to it, so if you're sensitive to spice, keep that in mind--but I think the flavor is worth it. I especially loved the lobster, sausage, black mussels, and frog legs. Everything was flavorful, and the seafood was delicious. There are some good deals on the menu if you're looking to keep the cost down. However, if you're dining with your partner and both of you order lobster or other premium seafood, plan on spending around $100 or more. For me, it's worth it for a nice seafood dinner.
