First and last time to come to come here!! The food was meh and my margarita was so bitter i couldn't drink it so that was a waste of 15 dollars there. At the end when we cashed out I ended up getting charged my friends bill and she had to pay twice on the app because they said it never went through, well here we are on day 2 and I still have charges for my friends bill on my card. They keep apologizing and saying well if it goes through it will be 3-5 days before it refunds to my card!!! I have bills to pay and what if I didn't have the funds to wait for 3-5 business days. I am from out of town and if this does not get handled I will not be a pleasant person to talk to. They need to work on several things at this restaurant!! And on top of everything we were held up at least 20 minutes trying to figure out the bill and was never once offered a free meal or drink for our inconvenience!!! Tried to get a part time job there and let's just say that even being over qualified, if you don't look that the people you see when you first walk in, you won't get a call back. Apply for a job at Longhorn Steakhouse, Chedders, or bombshells. They are more diverse, accepting and don't require that you be bilingual. We visited Gringo's Mexican Kitchen on a Sunday around lunch time. This location has plenty of parking tho you may have to circle at least once if you don't get lucky, a play area in front, and an adult outdoor lounge. I enjoy Gringo's cuisine, so I typically don't mind the wait. Based on the size of our party, we were quoted a standard 45 minute wait time. However, we were seated much faster. The staff was friendly and apologetic. We dined on - Three Amigos plus Pepe (one of the enchiladas had solid cheese) - Fajitas Veracruz - Kids meals I recommend stopping by if you like Tex Mex food. My family and I went to Gringo's yesterday around noon. We had a brief wait, maybe 15 minutes and were seated in Blanca's section. She was awesome! We know all too well that we can sometimes be a difficult group and any server who can smile and show the level of hospitality she demonstrated is "GOAT"! She made great suggestions and got our modifications correct the first time, not always the case with us. She connected with us and checked on us appropriately. Refilling beverages and condiments without having to be asked. As a family of restaurant and hospitality workers now and in the past we were beyond impressed with her, management and food quality. We would definitely come again just for the experience! And the price is definitely affordable and appropriate. In fact, I would say that we received much more bang for our buck. I would strongly suggest that management utilize Ms. Blanca on their training team. A team with her attitude and skill set would certainly bring back guests and create a loyal customer base. Keep up the good work! Ps: This is the same Gringo's I received another above and beyond experience. Following the tragic loss of my son a year ago I stopped in for chips and the best green sauce ever. Perfect for families - there is a playground out front of the restaurant and free ice cream! And the food and margaritas were really good. My husband got the red mex street tacos (said they were good) and I got the carne guisada that had lots of flavor. I got the Fresca Margarita that was really refreshing on a hot day. We stopped by for dinner on a way from the airport. There was a like to get in, check in process was very slow. Most of us in line went on their website and joined the waitlist. The line on waitlist was going very slow. After about 30 min, we walked inside and were surprised to see restaurant was half empty. We got seated in about 10 min after we came inside, the online list had us as #7. The service was good, very slow with drinks. The waitress was very pleasant. Food was actually really good. We ordered Mexican egg rolls, it was a little too much for 2 people, but they were delicious, and the sauce they come with is very good. For dinner we had beef fajitas and seafood enchiladas. I stop on here occasionally for lunch. The two dishes that I seem to order most often are the Amazon Wrap and the Pollo Marisco. The Pollo Marisco is my favorite dish. It can be a little on the rich side. It is most definitely enough food to share with someone. It is a chicken breast smothered in a white wide sauce that is covered with grilled shrimp and crawfish tails. It is very good and high on my recommend list. The Amazon wrap is a giant spinach tortilla stuffed with beef and/or chicken surrounded with the typical lettuce tomatoes and the ever-so-amazing Amazon sauce which is a creamy green sauce. It is not the same as the green sauce served with the chips at every table. It also comes with your choice of beans and rice. The food is good but in the over-populated world of Tex-Mex in the Houston area, I give them three stars. Their menu has become stagnant over the past 20 years. The fact they've been around 20 years should tell you they are good. However, I come here more out of convenience than for the love of the food. If you've never eaten here before, I think you'll like it and won't be disappointed. Poor hostess service ! I arrived at gringos off of cypress wood. I am a loyal customer and a patient man. When I was told a 20 min wait I sat quietly and happily waiting the 20 mins and waited an extra 5-10 mins. To walk up and ask if my table was ready they told me the table was being cleaned thinking I was going to eat within the 5 mins but NO!!! I am waiting for another 30 mins while waiting the four young hostess sit on their phones, laugh and have conversations ignoring customers who are waiting to be seated. I've been to this location several times, and I love it. The bartenders are extremely friendly and attentive. My water glass was always filled, and I was asked if I wanted another margarita as soon as mine was 3/4 empty. I love the fact that they treat their customers so well. Other places usually try to rush people out. Food wise I usually get the 3 amigos plus Pepe, but today I decided to try something different. I ordered the Marisco bowel, and before I knew it my meal was there complete with fresh corn tortillas. It was amazing!! It's definitely my new favorite. Overall not bad! I got there on a Friday night about 8ish and there were people waiting out side for a seat. Parking was not an issue since it is around other department stores with parking areas. Fortunately I was meeting others and when they arrived the timing was perfect so they were able to get seats at the bar or it would have been a long wait. We did not eat other than the chips and caso; however, we did have their top of the line margaritas that had a small bottle of champagne upside down in it. These were very good margaritas and I highly recommend trying. Overall the service was good, environment was fun, people at the bar were friendly and environment had plenty of eye candy. I go here anytime I have the chance to go to TopGolf. They are always pretty busy, expect a wait, but they have a bar you can get a drink at while you wait and also a sweet play area for the little ones. The food is always top notch, I rave about it every time. Specifically their taco salad with the MARGARITA vinaigrette. To-Die-For. I usually find myself only raving about their food here but this time I was more than amazed with our service. I went with my family, 9 of us in total, and our waitress (Renee) was fabulous. One of my favorite places to go for lunch was the original Gringo's in Pearland. Tex-Mex in general takes me back to my days as a Houston youth, but Gringo's especially was always one of my favorites. This new Gringo's in Spring... holy crap. It's like a Gringo's museum. There's a huge playground out front for kids, and it's very necessary. We waited over an hour, and it seems like that's the norm at this new location. The only thing holding me back from 5-stars is that our server would disappear for incredibly long amounts of time. I realize that this is a newer restaurant, with newer employees, and we visited on a very busy night... but you just can't ever have your server be completely unseen for 15 minutes at a time. read more

They're constantly bombarded.....but as a customer what am I supposed to do? Eat my garbage food and shut up?.... I'd rather just speak up with respect in a calm collected manner. I didn't receive any special treatment from the manager. I paid for what we ate and that's it. I wasn't expecting anything at all from the manager because I believe in paying for my own meals, but lady....at least offer some kind of incentive to come back to your restaurant. It's just okay. The salsas need serious help! The red one has no flavor at all. No spice, no heat. Can it even be called salsa? The green one is just plain gross. It tastes like green tinted mayonnaise. Drinks are weak on the liquor and heavy on the mix. They don't have lunch specials which I thought was kind of weird. So a salad will run you over $10. The Cozumel chicken salad was tasty and presentation was unique. However, it just had a small amount of chicken salad on top of a mound of lettuce. Wasn't too sure about this place from the outside. Turned out to pleasantly exceed expectations on all fronts. Decor inside was charming (nautical theme). Place was clean, and most importantly the food was wonderful. We ordered and shared a mixed fajitas plate with large shrimp. Our waitress forgot we don't eat pork, and so when we found out it was bacon wrapped they brought us out grilled shrimp promptly. The style is definitely Tex-Mex, and they do it well. The steak fajitas that came with our meal were surprisingly tender... clearly an excellent cut of rib eye and not just cheap "steak meat" because it's lathered in onions and sauce. I was happy to see the staff was better organized this time around. They also have a new waiting system, where they text you to let you know when your table is ready. 5*s The sauces with the tortilla chips were a little different this time around; Frank later confirmed that they had tweaked the recipes. Also, I asked for a hotter salsa and they brought me the "Bar Sauce"; it was spicier than the other two salsas and very tasty. My friend and I enjoyed sauces. 5*s I ordered "El Pollo Marisco", it was delicious. The chicken is topped with shrimp and crawfish in a wine sauce. The rice, beans, and salad were all very good. And to drink, I ordered the Mango Fruit Tea, it was delicious. 5*s My friend ordered "Pollo El Dorado", she loved it. All in all, we were both very happy and satisfied with our meals. Any business that is named a racial slur should probably be considered suspect on spec, but this place distinguished itself as poor on multiple fronts. We ordered take-out from this place a few weeks ago when we needed to feed about ten guests we'd invited to the house. Needless to say, our order of fajitas and appetizers for ten people was quite pricey, so we were expecting something halfway decent. When we went to pick up the order, though, we were told that they hadn't even received it. This, even though I'd called it in by phone. So we waited the 45 minutes in the parking lot for them to make our order and bring it out. So, not a good start. When we got the food home, it was far lower in quality than what we'd expected, than what we'd paid for. The beef was tough and lacked flavor of any sort. The fajitas were something like what you might expect to get from the grocery store, but at least we got fajitas. For ten people, they only gave us a tiny container of pico de gallo. I was furious that, after paying that amount of money for our order, we had to ask our guests to parcel out the fixings to everyone could eat. Very embarrassing for us as hosts. So, to summarize, we paid quite a bit for poor food that was delivered with poor customer service. Needless to say, we won't be going back, and we won't be recommending this place to anyone we consider friends. read more

Came here for mother's day. Was told 1 hour 45 minute to 2 hour wait. Papasitos said they could seat us immediately. We went to cancel our spot and was told they were cleaning off our table. Weird since it had only been 5 minutes. Service was ok. Our waitress was sweet, but never refilled our drinks and generally seemed to not understand how to provide a good experience. For example we ordered queso, and it took 20 minutes to come out, but only after we asked. Then it was only queso, no chips. Had to ask for that as well. This stuff is pre made so it should be as quick as getting drinks in my opinion. And the last thing that was annoying was the security guard. Parking was already limited and hard to come by. I waited patiently for someone to pull out. When they did, the security guard whipped into the space with his golf cart and just stared at me. Like he was challenging me to say something.
