The to-go bags are amazing & very durable!

Grocery Outlet Bargain Market is now in Hollywood, California! There was a balloon archway to walk through. The aisles are clean and there are lots of products. From food, drinks, health & beauty and great gift ideas. After my purchase I looked at my receipt and got a $5 off your next $25 or more purchase coupon. And I went back the next day to honor said coupon!

It's nice to have different market options in the area so I was happy when this place open here. For starters the food price, cleaning products and health and beauty stuff is more affordable here compared to other markets in the area for sure. For now everything is clean and well put as it is still new so I hope people keep it that way. I've been here a few times already and the staff has been so nice and on top of their game ever since they open. I love that there's always parking even though it is located on a plaza with Denny's and many other kind of eateries. The only bad thing about the place so far is the lighting outside. What they have now it's very dim at night time and you know we get a lot of sketchy people around here so hopefully they fix that as they continue being in here.

Everything was organic, even the hair dye. My rastafari friend would buy her hair dye there because it had no chemicals and this store was known for quality products. Now it's a smoothie shop. And I guess a grab and go food station. Yes they still sell food, the fresh fruits and vegetables are displayed very nicely in the back of the store. They do have a great selection of beauty products I was like Nordstrom who? I might've spent longer than I should've in that section. But it was their yogurt section that did it for me because I discovered Ari's Greek Yogurt at the farmers market and they sell it here! So I bought a bunch of flavors that set me back about $40 on my ebt but you know what, sometimes you need to splurge. Self-care. FYI, you can buy a $22 smoothie with ebt but you have to pay at checkout then go pick up. The kiosk won't process ebt, only credit cards. I know so rude. I saw a girl get yelled at for trying to take a picture of the smoothie bar as I waited for mine, "no pictures!" It's not a grocery store, it's a cultural event

Everything else is negotiable…read more Let's get this out of the way: the only non-replaceable reason I come to Pavilions is because they have a working Coinstar machine. Not "out of order." Not "temporarily unavailable." Not "we're waiting on a tech." It works. Reliably. Consistently. Like a unicorn in retail. That alone earns loyalty. Now... the rest of the store. For a grocery store in California--a state that treats meat like religion--the meat section is underwhelming. Not bad. Just... uninspired. When you live in a place where butcher counters should sing opera, this one hums quietly and avoids eye contact. Compared to Publix (the gold standard of grocery comfort) or Trader Joe's (chaotic-good culinary wizardry), the selection here feels thin. You can get what you need, but you won't discover anything that changes your life or your dinner plans. Customer service? Fine--but slower than other locations. No hostility. No disasters. Just that gentle, Hollywood pace where everyone seems slightly distracted, like they're all waiting for a callback that may never come. And yet... I keep coming back. Because Coinstar. Because convenience. Because sometimes you just need to dump a jar of shame-quarters and leave with dignity. This Pavilions isn't exceptional--but it's functional, familiar, and does the one thing I absolutely need it to do without drama. In modern retail, that counts for a lot.

The prices are very reasonable, and one thing I genuinely appreciate is the constantly changing selection. There's always something new to discover--one week it might be a certain brand of frozen dinners, and the next week it's a completely different lineup. That variety keeps things interesting. The staff are consistently friendly, which makes a big difference. And for a relatively small store, I'm always impressed by how much they manage to stock. My one ongoing issue is the coffee section. The store carries more whole bean coffee than ground, which would be great--except the in-store grinder hasn't been working for quite some time. For those of us without a grinder at home, that's definitely frustrating. Aside from that, it's a wonderful little store that I'm happy to keep coming back to.

This particular location in Downtown is a sneaky win! My own bias made me avoid this location thinking it would have hard parking & be a bit dingy but it's honestly SO clean and well organized here. Plus, tons of parking. The Downtown Grocery Outlet may be my new favorite location! I think it's really fun trying all the cool promo items they have here but also finding things I regularly buy (a specific brand of green tea, a specific Korean fancy brand of coffee, really expensive cat foods) at 75% off sometimes - I'm in heaven! You can have fine things at a good price! Grocery Outlet has you covered. Most Grocery Outlets are independently owned so another thing about shopping here, you can feel like you are supporting a good local family. Great deals, great items, I'll obvi be back!

Overall, this is easily one of my go-to grocery stores in LA, and I literally stop by almost every day. The store is always organized, clean, and easy to shop. Not everything is organic, but they carry a lot of great products, and the overall selection is strong. I usually get my daily produce here, and I also buy wine here pretty often. The water refill area is always kept clean, which I appreciate, and their fresh juice section is one of my favorite parts of the store. The larger juices come in plastic, but the price on the orange juice is hard to beat, so I keep going back for it. I also like their prepared food section. During one stretch I was buying it pretty often and was always happy with the options, especially since a lot of the food avoids seed oils and uses grass-fed beef. They even have a live kitchen where you can sign up for classes and participate in food prep, which is a really cool touch and makes the store feel more thoughtful and community-oriented. The staff is another big plus. I've interacted with a lot of the cashiers and employees here, and they've all been sweet, personable, and genuinely pleasant to talk to. You can tell the people working here care and that the store is trying to offer a better experience. My only real issue is the meat and fish section. I've tried a lot from it over time--chicken breast, wings, ground wagyu, marinated items, branzino--and too often I've felt like I wasn't getting the freshest product. That's the one department that has consistently let me down. It's disappointing because the rest of the store is so strong. I also don't really understand why the wagyu ground beef costs almost double when it's formed into patties, but that's more confusing than a dealbreaker. At the end of the day, I still think Lazy Acres is one of the best grocery stores in LA, especially for convenience, cleanliness, product mix, and staff. But I've pretty much told myself to stop buying meat here, because for the same price I can get much better quality from a proper butcher. Since it's only a 3-minute walk from me, I'll absolutely keep coming back, just with a little more selectiveness about what I buy.

The employees were genuinely helpful and a cut above what you usually find at a grocery store -- and yes, you pay a premium for that. This is a great place to shop when you want high-end produce, meat, or fish. Would I do my weekly grocery shopping here? Probably not. But as a quality-focused stop, I really liked this store.
