I normally don't write bad reviews and I love supporting small businesses but I took my dog here once and she did a very good job with him overall! He does have anxiety and went number 2 a couple times as she was grooming him, we did adopt him from a family and she recommended what to buy for his next visit so he doesn't haven't bad anxiety. We booked again and for some reason my boyfriend had forgot about it there was no reminder . My boyfriend tried contacting her but she wouldn't answer(we didn't think anything of it) I called and it would just ring I left a voicemail and I tried again days later to the point where it would go to voicemail my boyfriend has tried to call and same thing straight to voicemail . I decided to call from my daughters phone and all of sudden it rang and the owner answered I told her I tried contacting her but for some reason when I call or my bf calls it goes to voicemail she asked for the dogs name and last name and she hung up I called back and she's like sorry I hung up on accident instead of putting you on hold. So she tells me she can't take him and my response was like ever and she said yeah and gave no reason. As a business owner she could have clarified her reasons instead of blocking us and letting us know. When we didn't even know what we did wrong! I made an appointment last week for today at 12:30 For his cut. Cut is a little too short but it'll grow so I'm ok with that. The one thing I didn't understand is I was told it would be $47 for all services, but when I picked him up I was told $53 because he was shedding a lot. She honored the $47 which was good, but I don't like when prices change. The one most important thing for me is his behavior when he gets home. He was shaking and hiding from me. When I looked at him, I noticed a cut on his chest. He had a little bit of blood and that I don't like. I'm sure they were in a rush and cut him in the process. I dropped him off at 12:30 and he wasn't done till 5pm. I won't be back, cute cut but maybe be a little bit patient so you don't injure the animals. read more

0/5 Stars - Do NOT bring your animals here. We have a 70lb golden retriever (half show-golden). To start, they made us put him in the kennel ourselves at drop-off, which seems abnormal as we've always just walked him and handed him over on-leash to other groomers. The pick-up also seemed rushed and the total ended up being $10 more than they had originally quoted because he "had a lot of hair." When we got him home and took a good look, we unfortunately noticed several little problem areas - mainly choppy cuts on his ears, weird tufts left around his chest and thighs, his paws hadn't been trimmed on the bottom at all, and they CUT his whiskers. At drop-off, they'd asked about trimming the whiskers - he came in with 4-5 inch long whiskers, so a 1/2 an inch to 1 inch trim would seem logical, but they were chopped down to less than 1 inch long. They poke us when we try to kiss him now. :( After reading other reviews - seems like multiple people have had this experience of rushed grooming results and rushed drop-off/pick-up. The WORST part however, came when trying to reach them to ask about a partial refund. I drove over the next day (Sunday) and they were closed early. I left a voicemail asking for a return call, but didn't receive one all week. We finally were off work again today and stopped by in-person. The receptionist was kind, but the older woman who I assume does most of the grooming was immediately very defensive, raised her voice, and flailed around with scissors in her hand the whole time we spoke. (She pointed them at me and said I had a bad attitude...) The excuses she gave were, "he moved a lot," and, "we're commercial groomers, not show groomers." We've never experienced this feedback from other groomers. She also refused to look at the pictures we took, called us liars, refused a partial refund, and then hid in the back until we left. Thouroughly disappointed with bringing my puppy here for his first haircut. The guy who we dropped off our 7 mo old puppy with seemed very forceful putting our dog in the kennel. Almost wanted to take my dog back right away but was in a hurry. Picked our dog up 3 hours later with a very nice girl who handed our dog back off too us. She asked for money before I could examine my dog. Surprised my pup refused his treat i gave him (he does anything for a treat normally. We got full service that was suppose to include nail clipping, bathing, haircut and more. 1. He had a CUT on his back! (Not cool) 2. He had patches of poorly cut hair left all over him! 3. Back paw nails cut too short, front paws not even touched. 4. Never seen my dog act so weird and have such bad diarrhea until I picked him up from here. I think I have found my pups groomers I called in this morning to set up an appointment for my two chihuahuas. Willy is very scared of groomers due to a really bad experience at a different place. This was Pennys first groomers and I wanted to make sure she was comfortable. As soon as I walked in I let them know Willy dislikes getting his nails trimmed. He let me hold Willy as he trimmed his nails in order for him to be more comfortable. They both got their nails trimmed, anal glands expressed and a shower. I will be forever grateful to Rudy, Brenda, and the entire staff for the kindness and compassion they showed Nacho month after month, year after year. He was not easy to handle towards the end of his time with us; he could not stand at all, and he had no cartilage in his ankles and wrists which amounted to great pain and his not wanting his paws touched and nails cut. I cannot even imagine what difficulty it was to bathe and give a haircut to a dog that could not stand up, and who would bite from the great amount of pain he was always in. Yet each time we picked him up, the staff was always smiling and assuring me he was not too much trouble, when I am sure he was a HUGE burden. This is how kind these people are. And also reveals how capable they are to handle any dog, no matter what the dog's condition or health. I think when a dog is not feeling well, being clean, unmatted, no itchy hairs in its ears - all that can give a little bit of solace to whatever they are going through. I called to see if they would be able to take my pup that day and they said yes. When I got there the girl in the front was very nice and so was the lady groomer. The place was clean and the cages for the dogs where right in front which was cool. They told me they would call in about 2 hours and they called in about an hour which was fast and I liked that a lot. When I got my pup she looked beautiful!! They did such an awesome job. My pup was happy which made me feel great because that meant they were good to her. I recommend this place if you want a great job done on your pup and good pricing. The location is small, and yes just like Tammy and c.w said there is a total of 16 kennels. But it's colorful and has it's awards and certificates over the desk! I read the reviews here and after dealing with the mediocre service from my other groomers, I decided to hurry myself up and give Groom to Bloom a try. I own an 11 year old 132 lb american bulldog who is nearly blind now with questionable hips. He is my life therefor I would react purely off the vibe and attention to detail of my dog's grooming experience, not the reference to a curtain separating myself from the back room. I made an appt first thing that day and was accepted right away. The lady was nice and told me enough of what I needed to know. I left my little monster with them and was called to pick him up 2-3 hours later. They took fine care of him and he no longer smells like a bag of asses and I am very happy with the job they did. People need to really get off their elitist pedestal. This is NELA, its old, its charming, its got character.. I've been going to Groom to Bloom for a very long time. My first dog was a poodle mix and he was very aggressive to groomers. A groomer suggested I go to the vet and get him sedatives. Well, while I was at the vet, I came across a flyer from Groom to Bloom. I decided to give them a try. The groomer at Groom to Blood said no sedatives needed, and he did an amazing job. I continued being a loyal customer until my dog passed away. When we got a new furry family member, I took Teddy to Groom to Bloom as well. I really enjoy the service they provide, but had to go to a another groomer because of the distance. Groom to Bloom is about 20 minutes from my home. Two years ago, Teddy had retinal reattachment surgery. Being such a delicate procedure I was petrified of taking him to the groomers. The ophthalmologist also advised that when I did take him to the groomers, I had to instruct them not to cage dry. Teddy was looking a little homeless 6 months after his surgery. I called the place I had been going to after Groom to Bloom and they didn't want to hand dry. Long story short, I returned to Groom to Bloom. I explained my situation and they assured me they would be careful. The first time I took Teddy to groomers after the surgery gave me such anxiety. The girl at the front desk was so nice and comforting. I don't take Teddy as often as I would like because of my schedule, but I wouldn't take him anywhere else. read more

When I decided that my little weasel dog was in serious need of a haircut, I started to do some research on where I should take him. I didn't trust that I could groom him myself because I was pretty sure he'd end up with the dog equivalent of a bowl haircut that all the other dogs would mock. Anyway, I called Groom to Bloom and found out that it is located very close to my house. I scheduled an appointment, which I was able to get right away. I was told over the phone which services would be included for a $35 fee (shampoo, hair cut, anal glads expressed, nail trim, ear cleaning, cologne, and a bandanna), which is much cheaper than many quotes I got from other groomers. When I took Dugout over for his big day, I was excited to see how handsome he'd look afterward. There is only so much you can do with a face only a mother loves, but I was still optimistic. While I waited on the other side of the curtain for the amazing makeover to occur, I looked at the shop's selection of dog clothes, pet dishes, shampoos, bows, and collars. The prices of these items were also very reasonable. About 45 minutes later, my little spotted baby reappeared, looking better than ever. The owner was very personable and chatted with me about her business, ways to rid a dog of tear stains, and took my special order for a Dugout sized Celtics jersey. I'm thrilled to have found such a great shop and to support a local small business! I have definitely found a groomer for Dugout. Next step: Go get my own hair cut. read more

Pros: Hands down, Best hair cut Bella has ever gotten. She looks so good I couldn't believe she was my dog! I've taken her to numerous different places, all of which have left bella looking hideous. I'll admit Bella is difficult when it comes to grooming....she is practically banned from petco, but They gave her a great poodle cut which no groomer has been able to do and even put lil bows in her hair! Cons: The place itself is a small hole in the wall establishment - CASH ONLY. I called for a same day appointment on a Saturday and they squeezed her in but had to leave her there for 4 hours before I could pick her up. I Have finally found a permanent groomer for Bella!
