Extremely disappointed and frustrated! We took our cat here for grooming, and the whole experience was terrible. Not only did they do a poor job grooming him, but they also managed to lose his tag -- and acted like it wasn't a big deal! That tag had sentimental value, and it's unbelievable how careless they were. The staff didn't even apologize properly or try to make things right. I would never bring my cat back here and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who actually cares about their pet. read more

Last time I went to this establishment, they had moved the dog food and treats from the display area on the first floor and moved it to a mezzanine in the back accessible by stairs. What's in the main display area instead? Cheap straw hats and sunglasses. Because what else belongs in a store that provides dog grooming and supplies? I told the owner I couldn't go up the stairs because of a disability, and he said he couldn't go up stairs either! Told me to come back another time and MAYBE someone else would be working and MAYBE they would shop for me. So I went back a week later and it's become a dog grooming and cheap Chinese made straw hat store. Did someone show up with a semi truck full of stolen straw hats and shades? This was an otherwise inexplicable business decision made by an establishment that is clearly failing. What might they try next before they go out of business completely? An update to my earlier review. First, about the scheduling: they always find a spot without making you wait a week. Second, the appointment system has been updated: you get a text message and it really helps. Last but not least: our dog always got a good haircut though we never had the same groomer. We would take whoever is available at the time that is convenient for us and, it always worked out fine. As everyone said before, people who work here are kind and caring. Blake is terrific. But, we have seen others and they always did a very good job. The style of the haircut might be different each time but it is always adorable. Also, the pricing is very competitive. Bottom line: this is a high value place for a busy dog family who does not have the capacity to plan weeks in advance. You will get a quick appointment and your dog will be well taking care of. I feel that expectations in some reviews may be a little unreasonable. read more

Huge fan of the store and the goodies available for sale but not a huge fan of the grooming! The staff was friendly, sweet and helpful but they definitely rushed on my dogs' grooming plus it took 4+ hours! I wish they were a bit more assertive on how the trim could've turned out (compared to other places) but they seemed super busy. I brought my dog Rhubarb in for her first full groom and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She's fearful and easily overwhelmed, but Blake was absolutely wonderful with her. She made sure to schedule us at a quiet time so there wouldn't be other dogs or people around, and even let Rhubarb wander and decompress between each step. Blake really knows what she's doing--she explained how I can keep up with grooming at home, and listened to exactly what I asked for. Rhubarb came home looking great and feeling incredibly soft! I'm so thankful to have found someone who's not only skilled but clearly cares about the dogs she works with. We'll definitely be back! read more

Been taking my dog here for over a year but after yesterday NEVER AGAIN! I left both my dogs one for a haircut and one for nails and bath when I picked them up my poor dog had the worst most uneven haircut ever! Not even the length I requested when I dropped him off and when I said something about it the guy told he he needed 10 more minutes if I wanted the request length like what!?! But I was still nice and said ok but he literally took 4 min and gave me my dog EXACTLY how he was when I said no but that's not even the worst part! My girl dog who is also a puppy! Was bitten by a spider here and when I came bk the next day to ask the the manager I was told he was not there but would call me just for him to call me to tell me he never had that happen to his dog there! Not even an apology or NOTHING! Posting pictures of my dogs face after I gave her Benadryl 4xs! And her face still swollen Edit also when I was picking up my dogs the owner or "manager" older white guy was telling the guy working the front that the back room was super disgusting and had a bad odor and I definitely see why because they are NOT KEEPING KENNEL CLEAN! This was the worst cut you can give a dog. Our regular groomer was on an extended trip. We took a chance on this place with our small wavy haired mini labradoodle. She usually gets groomed every 90 days. Because she has wavy hair, not curly, we cut her like a Scottish terrier. it's very clear that is how she is cut. - First Encounter: I walk in on a Tues. and ask if they have appointments for grooming, The nice guy at the counter says, "sure, how about this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. That was great, so we took it. We show up at 10 on Saturday and are informed that the groomer called in sick (they had our # and nobody called) - so we had to make another appointment for the next Saturday at 11:00. - Second Encounter: I am hopeful that this appt. will be good - so I call ahead to check and am told that it's not for 11:00 but it is for 12:00. So, I arrive at 12:00 and go back and meet the groomer. He had just cut a small dog that was in a kennel. He told me that he had a "rough time with that little one". The guy was in a bad mood and complained to me about life in general. Interestingly, our usually friendly little dog was not liking the groomer at all. She was acting very skittish. He reassured me that it would be fine, so I discussed EXACTLY how we wanted her cut. I told him to keep the terrier cut, with the beard, only shorter. I said, " she just needs to be cleaned up". He said that was fine and that he understood and I left. WTF: I show up an hour and half later and an unrecognizable dog runs to me. This groomer cut every hair on her body super short. There was nothing left of our "terrier" - we did not even recognize her. All over her body she had uneven cuts. Her ears were cut very short with uneven cuts. I felt sorry for the groomer because he seemed like he was not in a great place in life, so I unfortunately did not raise a stink while in the store. I ended up paying $100 + a tip for this horror show. Not until I got home and my family expressed shock at our unrecognizable little dog did I start to get mad. A dog walker friend who is a former groomer took a look at our dog and said "whoever groomed your dog had no idea what they were doing". DO NOT GET YOUR DOG GROOMED AT THIS PLACE!!! They do not know what they are doing. Awful! read more

I called for a walk in groom and the groomer kindly fit me in on a short notice. The groomer was very nice and my dog was fluffy and brushed, but was not groomed or given a haircut. During the initial consult with the groomer I asked for a quick cleanup cut of his poodle topknot/face, clean the uneven legs from grown out pompoms, clean feet, and an overall trim. While he smells nice he doesn't seem to have been bathed or had any other care than a quick brush. He had a small, loose matt on his tail that was brushed out but no other grooming done. I was charged $60 for a Wash and Dry instead of a full groom, which was appreciated, as the groom was not completed. However I was not informed of any of this and was simply handed my dog and charged for the bath. I would not have come in if he just needed a bath and brush, so I left disappointed. The photos taken were before (the headshot) and after his groom (laying on the blanket). I can't tell if he has been bathed but he definitely was not given a haircut which was not communicated to me until pickup when I was only charged for the bath. As he was so fluffy I didn't even realize he didn't receive a haircut until I paid and left! The employees are very nice and my dog left happy but I'm very disappointed in the lack of communication from the groomer and the fact that he will need another groom in a week or two. read more

I've come here since moving back to the neighborhood about four times. The cuts have generally been very well done. I visited Sunday, June 30 and asked for my dog to be cut down completely and very low all over except for her tail her legs and the top of her head. They called me and told me she was ready to be picked up when I got down there. I was so thrown off by her feet and her legs that I didn't even notice at this point he didn't cut down any of her stout a.k.a. nose. He had done the complete opposite of what I asked. He cut her legs all the way down and her feet were complete bushes . I told him that's not what I wanted and I need at least her feet cut down as much as possible because it's Foxtel season. He said OK and told me I could come back. I was unable to come back because I was preparing for a trip so I paid $50, maybe $160. For a cut that we did not ask for was completely a botched job. Her nails were not cut and she did not smell like she had even been bathed. I was so pissed off. I tried to call them, but they had already closed and I did not have time because I was literally getting on a flight 10 hours later and had to drop her off for boarding. I really hope the owner gets back to me so that I can get another haircut and an actual bathing done on my dog read more

Made an appointment through their website for a gland expression at 5:30 PM. I get a voicemail that the groomers won't be there past 2 PM. I then call back and am told that I can come in before 2 to be seen, in fact, I tell the girl I'll be there at 1:30 PM and she says they'll be able to see me. When I get there at 1:25 PM, the girl tells me that the groomers are seeing other dogs and won't be able to see me and to "try another day." This is the same girl that I spoke with on the phone 30 minutes earlier who told me I could come in at 1:30 PM but apparently did not verify with the groomers that I could be fit in. It would not have been an issue if the appointment needed to be rescheduled but to tell me that I can be seen and have me go all the way to the store only to be told that I can't actually be seen is incredibly frustrating and a waste of my time. Fix your website appointment availability or at the very least work on communication skills. read more

Marisa at the front desk will take excellent care of you, it's always nice to talk to a human being from a local business instead of having to always book everything online! And Sade did a fantastic job Washing my cat, and giving her a super cute haircut. I totally recommend the services in this place. Couldn't be less satisfied with this groomer's work. My Doodle has, historically, loved grooming wherever we have lived, but picking him up from grooming & more I found him very agitated and shaking. Adding insult to injury was a hefty price on a very sub-par groom. How this company can claim to be "#1" in the city is appalling, ESPECIALLY since they've only been open a handful of months! I took my dog Charlie, a chocolate lab, here to get his nails trimmed and Alex was wonderful with him. Charlie's an old guy and doesn't like to be put on the table. Alex read the room and got right down on the floor with him and said "We can trim them here so he's more comfortable." So intuitive and kind! I was so impressed with Alex that I took my bosses dog Karma here too, I'm a PA. He's a Tibetan terrier. Alex works on one dog at a time so Karma wasn't crated while waiting. Karma went in a fluffy and came out EVER so handsome!! I'll have to add before and after pictures. Oh, and prices are very fair especially for such excellent work. Thank you Alex!!!
