I love the quality of his cuts, the staff are kind, and like most dogs the groomer is not their favorite thing but he is always happy. Which means it wasn't as stressful as other places. Tilt is bery gentle and can do 'show' style cuts for purebred dogs. Ladi always follows my requests. Something missing at other groomers.

Took my Airedale for her first stripping at 1 year old. Was nervous about getting her new haircut. Told the groomer I liked her Pom Pom tail and semi scruffy look. I was sooo delighted with the cut!! She feels amazing you can see she has a pep in her step with nails clipped and a day at the spa. Will be back for future stripping! We are so happy with Cindy, her grooming expertise, and excellent care of our pup. Our dog was traumatized when another grooming company shaved off her dewclaw a few months ago. We were unsure how she would respond to being groomed again. No need to fear. When we picked her up, our dog was all tail wags. She didn't bolt for the door, instead she was curious and sniffing around the room. That's when we knew she was at ease and had a great experience at Tilt Pet Spa. I gave Tilt a call in the morning and was able to be seen for a same-day appointment! I don't think that's typical, but so, so rad. I've taken my girl Lint to a few groomers in the city now and while none have been /bad/, Lint's groomer today (Lady) knocked it out of the park, just in time for Lint's 1st birthday. After listening to my grooming requests and showing her some inspo photos, Lady said say less. When I picked her up ~3hrs later, Lint came out sporting little pompom hair ties (*chef's kiss*), smiling from ear to ear, looking and smelling like a million bucks. I couldn't be happier with the grooming and could tell my fur ball was taken care of. Needless to say, I don't think we'll be going anywhere else for awhile read more

We randomly came across this groomer as we took our little FURBABE to his vet appt. We decided to check it out and make an appointment and we are very happy with the way his haircut came out. Having a 1 year old mini DOOD can be challenging when he doesn't want you brushing his hair. He ended up having matted hair. Go figure. But the groomer was able to remove it and make my little boy handsome again! We will definitely be going back. read more

It is not easy to find groomers taking new clients in the Bay, our mobile groomer went MIA so I was in a pinch when I called Tilt. Ariana and Cindy were very nice to give me an appointment for both my doodles for the same date. Location is good in SF and There's parking a couple of blocks away. When dropped the pups the were busy so I choose to send them over some photos and specific details about the haircut. My Pups were there for 4 hrs. I got a call 15 min b4. When I picked them up, my older one was affectionate to Cindy and that tells me He likes them and they didn't mind being there. Both my dogs were sharing a large crate while waiting for me. Their haircuts were excellent and I got compliments and smiles all the way to my car. We've been going to Tilt Pet Spa for a year now and they always do such a great job. We love Cindy's expertise! My 7 year old Maltese has always enjoyed getting groomed--every groomer we've gone to says he treats it like a spa day--but my 3 year old Havanese can be quite apprehensive. Ariana and Cindy are the BEST! I first had my pup Mochi groomed by them when they were at healthy spot in mission bay, when I found out they had left - I was pretty much devastated and immediately scoured high and low for a fantastic groomer, but to no avail. Fast forward almost 8 months and imagine my excitement when I FINALLY found them again on IG and ALSO found out that Cindy and Ari opened up Tilt Pet Spa. I was beyond ECSTATIC. I had Cindy groom Mochi right before our engagement shoot photos, so there was basically no room for error..and Ari groomed Mochi right before our wedding..so again, there was no time for the fur to grow out if he wasn't groomed well. They both delivered the BEST frickin grooms Mochi has ever received. They even teased the fur on his butt so it was extra round and fluffy! lol! Their grooming salon is quite a bit further for me and the grooming is a bit more expensive, but it is worth it for me because I know they will do a great job and that Mochi is in great hands. I've had Mochi come back from other groomers in the city and he's had cuts, knicks, and rashes before..but having been to both Ari and Cindy on multiple occasions, this has never been the case and I know know he will be taken care of! As a side note, I've never had any problems finding street parking in front of the salon - so definitely a plus. I like to schedule the morning appointments so maybe that has something to do with it too! read more

I was really hesitant to bring in Winnie, my nutty Havanese, but Esme was terrific with him on his first grooming visit ever. He did snap at her, a few times, but each time would kiss her afterward. She was holding him when I arrived to pick him up and she said "he was sweet". He had to be shaved due our having let his hair grow too long. His cottony hair, new to us, knotted massively all of a sudden. Yet she did a nice job in just over 3 hours and shaped around the head nicely and allowed 90% of his feathery tail to remain untouched. Winnie seemed to like her and so we will return for a shaping and styling in 2-3 months when it grows out to a moderate puppy-type length. Highly recommended! read more

This is the only place we will take my bernedoodle to be groomed! Randomly found Tilt when I was taking my puppy for her vaccinations at the vet next door. We have now been customers for over a year. Hands down the best, most friendly groomers in town. They really listen to what you want and offer advice to keep your dog looking nice. Maple always leaves looking amazing and the cut is perfect until her next groom. Sometimes Cindy and Arianna are fully booked, so we will try a new groomer with perfect results every time. Added bonus is that she isn't scared of this place! Every time we go she is happy to go to the back with the groomer and it gives me so much piece of mind to know that my girl is being treated well while she's away from us. This is one of the places where you will be charged 108$ plus tips for SHAVING your dog even if you requested keep it as long as possible simply because they are in rush and want to spend 15 minutes instead of 1 hour. It looks terrible. The eyes of my maltipoo weren't even cleaned. Our appointment was scheduled for 1 pm. We arrived exactly at 1.00 pm and the groomer was super busy with other dogs. I offered to walk my dog instead of keeping him in the crate and asked when they will be really ready to take him for his grooming. They said 1.30. Ok, I walked him till 1.30. I also explained that I drove to San Francisco from far away specially for the grooming, so I will be waiting for my dog. They said they will give me a call to pick him up. I called 3,5 hour later, and they haven't even started his haircut! I drove over right away, and he was almost ready, as they simply shaved him. ((( So I brought my dog by 1 pm, waited till almost 5 pm to get him shaved during 20 minutes. No proper brushing, no proper haircut. So irrespecutful to your client's time! So irrespecutful to your client's request. They take more dogs than they can manage properly. And I am paying for it with my time and my money. Very disappointed with the result. read more

If you have a doggie in need of grooming services, look no further!! Tilt pet spa is a brand new pet spa but the 2 owners have been grooming in San Francisco for YEARS! We were lucky to find Cindy 2-3 years ago grooming in San Francisco & we have followed her to the north bay (from the peninsula if I may add) & now back to San Francisco at her own spa! Cindy has groomed 3 of our dogs, each have had their own set of emotional & physical issues - 10 year old deaf dog. He had been through 2 major surgeries & his first grooms back after recovering Cindy was very gentle with him & was able to find the handsome boy that lived under a mess of long hair & failed home grooming attempts. - 3 year old tiny tripod. He has very bad separation anxiety & loves to bite everything. On top of that he goes through major mood swings due to a physical disorder. He rarely trusts anyone but he loves Cindy. Cindy is so loving & has helped him enjoy grooming. Cindy always gives me back a handsome tiny dog. -my 2.5 year hospice rescue. Cindy was careful to not hurt her further & helped her be comfortable by removing every mat, clipping her nails. This girl had been neglected prior to us taking her in (major mats & more) but Cindy did not neglect a single detail. Since I do have special needs dogs I have a difficult time entrusting anyone with their care but immediately upon meetings Cindy I knew I had found the perfect groomer!!! Her business partner, Ariana is also AMAZING! She once helped 2 very frantic people & an even more overwhelmed tiny tripod (going through a mood swing) remove a tick (eeeek)! She not only removed the tick but put us all at ease. She is so very wonderful. I am so happy these two talented groomers opened Tilt Pet Spa! See you both soon! read more

BEWARE that pricing online is not accurate. I booked a walk in nail trim $30 and it gave me the option to add the summer special for $23 which includes teeth brushing, nail file, and a pineapple shampoo. $53 total. See image of booking language attached. When I showed up to pay they charged me $105. They said that the summer special was only an add on to a bath. That "pineapple shampoo" did not mean a shampooing but just that they used a special scented shampoo. I showed them what I booked online they said again that the special was only an add on to the bath. Then why was I able to add it on to the nail trim?? Whats worse is at the very least they should have only charged me for a bath and the summer special (which includes nail file) for $73 but instead they charged me $50 bath + $30 nail trim + $23 special. I told them they need to update the language on the website to be clear that the summer special is only an add on to the bath and they will charge for the bath as well. EVEN THOUGH YOU CAN ADD IT AS AN ADD ON TO THE NAIL TRIMMING! They gave me a discount "for the confusion" which brought the total down $90 but that is still $20 more than the $73 which should have been the cost for the package I received. I tried to explain but they weren't adjusting so I just paid and left. This was also on top of the fact that I made my appt for 1pm. Then I got a text they had rescheduled it to 11:15 am. Thats fine. I go to drop off my dog and they said they would text me 15 minutes before pick up. Ok. They never reached out to me and 2 hrs later I call them and they said she'll be ready in 15. At this point its 1pm. Why did they make us come in 2 hours earlier when they weren't going to do the appointment until 1 anyway?? Instead my dog had to be in a cage in a stressful environment for two hours when she could have been relaxed at home with me. They do a good job at the grooming itself and I hate to leave a bad review but I was really flabbergasted with the way in which they handled their misrepresentation. If I knew it was $50 extra I would have bathed her at home. Instead i paid $50 extra AND and extra $23 just for them to brush her teeth and use pineapple scented shampoo. read more
