My son had a flat front tire on his e-bike on a Sunday. Although they usually service by appointment only, they were able to accommodate us right before closing. My family and I rented electric bikes from this place last year and had a blast! The owner, Bob, provided us with several routes to take and we ended up going through Irvine, around Turtle Rock, by Strawberry Farms, and back to his shop. 95% of the ride was on a bike path. I had no idea there were so many bike paths in Irvine. Anyway, I finally decided to get an eBike from Bob this year. After surfing the web and trying other bikes, I realized that Bob's expertise was invaluable. He hooked me up with the perfect hybrid bike that is both comfortable on trails and paths. Dropped in when my "old" e-bike was in the shop and did not really plan to buy anything. Bob asked all the right questions and we set up test rides the next day. Out of the blue, he put me on a Gazelle Medeo T10 and it was love at first shift. In fact, the wisest thing Bob did was to say, "I want you to ride it around the lot without the motor first. Then cut it on." I was skeptical, but two days later I owned that bike. Here's the thing. I had asked to see another, more expensive bike. I had told him I was willing to spend more, so he knew he could have sold me a more expensive bike. In the midst of Covid-19, they found a way to preview, prep, and deliver a great bike. Family oriented, great brands and great service. We bought a used Ebike here two years ago. my daughter rides it every day to school, 2-4 miles a day including summer and it has been running well without any major issues. The chain got loose once and we called Bob, he talked us thru how to fix it on the phone. We just got a flat tire for the first time last week (after 2 years and lots of use), brought it there and they were able to fix it on the same day, better price than my son's regular bike at another place (that by the way, took 2 weeks to change a tire). Bob and Shane are amazing! My wife and I were looking for two eBikes and Groove was one of a few dealers locally who had the brand we were looking at. I called a few times and they were so patient in answering my questions over the phone. Once we got there, their excellent level of customer service continued. Shame helped us initially explaining the differences between the models we were looking at and we appreciated his honesty and sharing his feedback which helped us make a decision. We had to wait two weeks for the bikes to arrive in the shop (which was way faster than we were expecting) and Bob and Shane were both there to greet us, show us the bikes, and help load them in our cars. I bought 3 e-bikes from Bob's store! I like to take good care of my e-bikes so I'll bring them in for routine maintenance or to replace a spoke and tire and I've always had great service. I tried other e-bike shops for routine maintenance & repairs and I always have to return to the shop because the brakes weren't done correctly or even just adjusting the spokes were done incorrectly, or not done at all. I live about 20 minutes away from Groove E-Bikes, but I'm willing to drive there just to have my e-bikes worked on by Groove E-Bikes. Shane, Chris, and Bob are great techs and Yo is just so pleasant to talk to and ask questions about products. I have Pedego e-bike and I will go to his shop because he does better work than 3 Pedego shops I've used. Groove E-Bikes is my go-to bikes shop for all my e-bikes! We had an amazing experience at Groove E-Bikes (my gps calls it groovy bikes - I think it fits!) I had been doing a lot of research regarding e-bikes and I found the brand that appealed to me the most - good price ($100 less than the manufacturer's web site), no unboxing or build fees, patient staff who didn't talk to me like I didn't know anything, even if I didn't know anything about electric bikes. I appreciated that they were abiding by safe social distancing rules by conducting business outside and that they gave me the opportunity to take a test ride. I really wanted to support a local business and this turned out to be the right one. Shane and Bob are both pretty laid back, but don't be deceived! They know their stuff and I have found them so far to be true to their word. The bike I selected, the Aventon Level Step Through, is one of the least expensive in the store. Shane did not attempt to upsell me, but focused on the fact that I had chosen a good bike that suited my wants and needs. The bike was delivered exactly as promised, I was provided with a tutorial on the bike's (fairly simple) operation, Bob helped to load it in the car and I was on my way! I plan to make this bike my work transportation when I return to work after an extended medical leave. I'm not as strong as I used to be, and my stamina has taken a hit, but this bike (and the respectful and kind service I got from Groove-E Bikes) will help me to build my stamina while engaging in an activity I have enjoyed since before I could walk. I bought an Aventon Level from Bob last week. He is super knowledgeable and easy to talk to about ebikes. It was a snap to set up a test ride. He had a nice range of ebikes to try, but I knew what I wanted and why--he confirmed my research and even added to it. I didn't intend to buy that day because I had planned to try out a couple of other ebikes, but the whole experience was great, so why wait. I'd buy again from him any day. read more

Came here looking for an e-bike. I was met by Shane who introduced himself and asked what I was looking for. I had done research and wanted to see it in person. Shane asked if I wanted to test ride it but unfortunately my wife and dog we in the car waiting. I told him that I would be in the following week to test ride. Shane said no problem and he would be there next week. When I came back Shane again greeted me and said that the bike sold over the weekend. Bummer! So I was able to put a deposit down to hold one when they get their next shipment in. I'll follow up with more of a review later. This shop is very busy but the customers don't mind waiting a bit because customer care is one of their top priorities. Every employee I met were friendly and smiled at you. They carry different brands and don't try to up sell you. They give recommendations on what may work for you based on what you want to get out of it. I recommend this shop. read more
