Here's the deal. There was NO WHERE near enough servers to be a Saturday at the beginning of sone's spring break with a soccer tournament and a volleyball tournament at the connecting venues. I sat at the outside bar because they told me I wouldn't have to wait 45 minutes for a table for 1. So I did it. It then took 15 minutes for the bartender to even speak to me because, as he told me", he was also waiting on half the patio. He immediately took my drink order, then when it came 5 minutes later, I ordered an appetizer. In hindsight, I should've ordered my food then too, but I had no idea what was coming. It only took my appetizer about 5 minutes to come, which was great as busy as they were. Someone what brought it to me, which was nice seeing as the bartender, being super busy, would not speak to me again until I finally asked for my check. I never got a chance to order my meal, in the 45 minutes I was in the restaurant, at my seat. As far as my fried pickles app goes, it was good. Food was awful! Burgers we burnt and dried out, service was slow, and the waitress was not friendly at all (acted like we were a complete inconvenience for her). Order a frozen drink and got a broken glass!! Will not recommend! read more

Our waitress Taylor was absolutely awesome. This was me and my husband's first time at Groovy Goat and she was very patient and helpful. The world would be a better place if there were more people like Taylor. The food was pretty amazing as well, but Taylor made our visit worthwhile. Big ups to Taylor!!!! read more

Terrible! Got there at 10:30 and website says closes at 12 PM. They refuse to serve us and we had to argue to get seated. There was another couple that was sitting there waiting before us. told him they were unable to sell them alcoholic drinks when the bar closed at 12 PM and it was 1030. We finally got seated in the waitress refused to to give me lemons for my water, and had the nerve to not even fill our drinks up all the way. She said we have 10 minutes to order and the kitchen was closing. Never visit here to eat. Bad customer service and they need to fix their website if they are going to decide to close early because they want to go home. read more

My husband and I sat at the bar for over five minutes while SEVEN waitresses walked past us. We did arrive at four, which is usually around a shift change. Place was empty. There was no bartender. The manager stood down at the end of the bar talking with two patrons while we sat looking for someone. Finally, a waitress came up and then immediately after that the bartender appeared. She was friendly... allowed us to have two small tastes of a beer I was unsure of. She poured my husband's beer and 1/3rd of it was pure foam. So we quit going here because the service was not good. We went today and the service was phenomenal! Jess was a fantastic waitress and her service was on point. We are so excited this restaurant came to Foley. As a foodie I have to try way to many items when I go to a new restaurant so here is the run down. We started with totachos- it's tater tots homemade chili and queso piled high with the toppings of your choice. Tots were crispy and hot, and the chili and queso were Delicious and made from scratch (like everything at this restaurant) Then for our second app we ordered the fried pickles. These were probably the best we have ever tried. They are actually fried pickles, red jalapenos, and pablano pepper strips. Those jalapenos are what make that dish special. I can't wait to go back and have these again. For our meals we got the biscuits and gravy, which were superb. And we got the slider trio and all of our selections were delicious. The service and the kitchen were both incredibly slow. The server commented that they were hit with a big crowd, but there were 15+ tables open while we were there at 1:30 in the afternoon. We have eaten here several times in the past few years, and in the past, it was very good but tonight, not so much. The first thing when we came in tonite was we were being seated at a table in the middle of the room, and I asked to sit in a booth or somewhere that we could see the tv screens. We were accommodated of course, but the table where we ended up being seated had crumbs on it and was obviously not cleaned from the last guests. We simply wiped it off ourselves when we got some napkins and said nothing. The server promptly got our drink order and delivered it to our table. We ordered items that we had before, a adult grilled cheese for my wife and a Philly Cheese sandwich for me. We got our order very quickly but the fries were old, tasted stale and were lukewarm at best. The sandwiches were missing ingredients bacon jam wasn't on the grilled cheese and the Philly was just a small portion of meat and a couple of slices of cheese, that appeared to be grocery store cheese slices. And like the fries the sandwiches were lukewarm as well. This is not the quality we have experienced at this restaurant in the past and it was not a busy night, in the past I have recommended this place to my friends, but not any longer. Overall it is disappointing that a place that used to be very good has slipped so much, I hope that the management will do something to improve the food and quality to the previous level. read more

What is wrong with this place? We have given them multiple chances since we play soccer in the complex next door. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. they are a let down with their service. The food is decent but prices are resort prices...service is terrible and we were told the tv's are preset and can't be changed. If they are preset then who sets them to play the same football game on muliple tv's. No more chances. Will pack sandwiches from now on for our soccer tournaments. Stopped by for a quick take out order and boy am I glad I did not dine in. The noise from a raucous band set up right in the middle of the dining room was deafening. Got my $13 burger to go and left. To say my burger was tasteless is being kind. I've never had a burger that I literally could not taste the meat. Seriously tasted like cardboard. The glue from the tape was melted to my leg and my shorts. We moved to the booth behind us. Our server apologized and offered me some ice to try to get the glue out of my shorts.. I said no thanks and went out to get new shorts then changed in the restroom. I didn't want the glue getting on my seats, as we had about a 2 hour drive to go... I've been here a few times. The food is good for sports bar type food. The service is lacking. We left during our last visit because the host staff didn't acknowledge our presence after about 5 minutes, all the while seating people who came in after us. The time before that was similar, but we knew one of the wait staff personally, so he got us taken care of. The best part is the arcade.
