First of all, this touristy place was VERY accommodating! We had a soccer team that was going to come and eat together...potentially 30 people and I was sent as the "ambassador" to secure seating. I had no idea when people were coming and had people begin to drop left and right, but with every change of plans, the hostesses and manager were VERY understanding and never seemed annoyed or impatient. It finally ended up being a group of 8 and we had great seating. Not only did they have a ton of TVs on the walls showing college football everywhere, but each booth had it's own TV in case your game wasn't being shown. As fro wait service...I have one and only one complaint: our waiter knew nothing about the beers on tap. They had quite a few local brews on tap and I was rally interested in trying some, but it was a gamble. I Googled some of them and hoped the description online was reliable. My son got the totchos as an appetizer and we all really enjoyed them. Tater tots covered in cheese, chili, bacon and green onions? How could they NOT be good?Even better, though, were the awesome wings! They were wood fired, not fried, so they had a great smokiness. I got the honey/black pepper glaze and it was phenomenal. The friend I ate with got the mushroom sliders and she was very impressed. I think the danger with a mushroom burger (with the mushroom as the "meat") is sogginess. The problem was solved by frying the mushrooms first.Slap some swiss and herb aioli and you've got a yummy vegetarian alternative. For his meal, my son got the OWA Grown Up Grilled Cheese. There were 4 different types of cheese, red on ions, bacon jam and avocado on grilled rye...need I say more? There was an arcade for the kids to play in after they were done with their meal, so we could watch the end of the game in peace, too! This will be my first choice if we ever go back to Foley. As with just about any place you might have a bad experience, well my family and I have been here multiple times and have never had a bad experience. The food is better than expected, this isn't some fancy gourmet place it's a family oriented sports bar that has an excellent arcade attached to it. Service was slow. I'm sure because they are understaffed as everyone else. We stopped for dinner after spending the day at OWA. It was convenient as we didn't have to go back to our condo to get ready for dinner. When food arrived only half of our party got their food. They brought the rest out alittle later. Kids meal chicken tenders were way over done. One person ordered the Italian Beef which was suppose to have a relish with it. The relish wasn't on the plate or the sandwich so we asked for some to be brought out. After our server went to the kitchen he came back to say they were completely out of the relish. Would of been nice to know ahead of time as something else might have been ordered instead. One person ordered a burger (med well) and the burger came out burnt. To the point it was charred and crunchy. Sent back, but by the time the burger returned everyone else had finished eating. Also the "day pickles" on the burger are basically thinly sliced cucumbers with no flavor. Small portions (especially for fries, it's about a handful and if you want Parmesan garlic it's an extra $2 and there's barely any Parmesan on them). IMO way overpriced for what you get. There so many great restaurants in this area....but skip this one. read more

But that's not really why any of us visit a restaurant.... Visited @3:30 on a Friday afternoon. NOT busy. Seated immediately in a booth but table had to be cleaned because the kid that was getting off his shift didn't clean it. So the host did. Then comes out server. Chris. Super nice. Brought drinks right away and spent time discussing the menu, and made recommendations. Ordered. Food came very quickly from kitchen staff. Wrong items. Server noticed right away and had it corrected...and since it was already on table, brought a to-go box for the wrong order. He brought drink refills and checked on us throughout meal. We ordered the turkey avocado club w/fries, an order of 6 fried wings, and a side salad. Club was fantastic. Fries are typical bar fries. Wings were rubbery and salad was basic chopped iceberg, a few grated carrots, red onion, and a couple grape tomatoes. Of course I didn't complain. It's a new establishment and our server was just so nice I didn't want to make a fuss. I mean, the kitchen already messed up the order once! The bill, for two sweet teas, the club/fries, and the 6 wings/side salad (we were not charged for the original sandwich that was wrong): $33.50. Add a tip, and we've got a $40 experience that would have been better spent on a ticket into The Park. Definitely going to be a tourist spot by vacationers. I'm sure as time goes on, the skill in the kitchen will improve. The menu is impressive, but the prep is def not worth the cost. I had a business luncheon we got there at 11:15 am and stood in front of the hostess stand 10 minutes. The hostess was sitting at a table reading something and glance over at us a couple times. A group of coworkers and myself wanted to try this place. The nachos were pretty good. Everything else was mediocre. The service we received was horrible. The waiter had to continuously come back to the table to get our order with a party of 9. He said he couldn't handle it all at once. He went to go put in the 1st set of orders then came back with the nachos which they make for you at the table. Then he left again and came back and got the rest of the group's orders. Meanwhile there were several employees just standing around talking and laughing. The manager had to step in to keep bringing us our drinks that we ordered. First time I have visited the groovy goat and it was awesome. I had a lava mash drink. It was sooooo good. The bartender Sham did a great job. It was beautiful too! Came here for the arcade, was told before the 45 min drive they were open until 11pm (online says 12am). Arrived at 10:30pm only to be told by the arcade attendant that he turned off the machine that sells arcade cards and won't sell us one. Went to the car and called again after pulling out of the parking lot and was told again that the arcade closed at 11pm by the manager of the restaurant. I told them the arcade attendant, who she said was named Tyler (had long hair), said it was 10pm and refused to sell us an arcade card even though there was probably 20 people in the arcade at that moment. Tyler said that he would only put more money on cards that was already purchased, which didn't make sense because there's no difference from buying a new card and adding money to one especially if they closed at 10pm. Only giving 1 star because we didn't eat here, but since this is their arcade this is all I can review. However, I have ate here before and the food isn't anything special and the prices are high. Before tonight the service has been nice, but I stopped eating here because of prices. Doubtful we will come back to this arcade after this experience. read more

The one thing I love about GG is the Guinness on tap. That, for my wife and I, make all the food choices worthwhile. To us, GG feels like a half-decent quick food place with some interesting food choices but nothing really stands out and goes wow, let's go to GG tonight. Most often, we just get the nachos and add a bunch of toppings and we are good. Our last visit, the week of 12/18/18, yielded a wonderful cred working that night, but completely lackluster nachos making it difficult to return until our next trip out to this area. Food wasn't gay bad but I've had better for cheaper. I got the coastal plate with the shrimp, oysters and fish, 2 sides, $24. The seafood tasted fresh but bland, no flavor. I got double order of garlic Parmesan fries and when they came out it was about the side of a McDonald's medium. My husband paid $15 for 10 wings with NO side. They are expensive and charge the 10% tax PLUS a 2% fee. Which they tell you the taxes are included into their menu price. We really don't plan to go back.
