Food quality was great, but service was a little slow due to opening recently. Atmosphere was awesome and servers were really nice.

Bad experience. Came from out of town to visit my friends family and they wouldn't accept her completely valid (out of state) licence when we ordered drinks with dinner. She's 24 and here with her older siblings and two neices. The server took our IDs and we had to bother the manager to get them back so we could just leave and go elsewhere. They weren't even apologetic about the situation. Would not recommend unless you enjoy terrible service. read more

We arrived around 5pm for our first visit to the Groovy Goat. The two employees at the hostess station seemed confused about where to seat us. There were several open tables and booths throughout, but we were seated in the back, right next to a register/supply station/employee discussion area. There was a television monitor (with no controls) at our table that only played commercials, but thankfully there was no volume. Our waitress seemed to try, but she was probably either new or marginally trained. We had the Tableside Nachos. They were good and the reason for the three-star rating. After we discussed and decided on what dessert to try, the waitress dropped off our check and asked if we wanted go-to glasses. Overall it had a "feed them and get them out" feel to it. Other reviews reflected better experiences than ours; maybe our experience was not the norm. The food was good, but we are not likely to return. read more

Definitely the best sports bar in Baldwin county. The entire family went in and we had an awesome time. The serve was very friendly. The manager(Aaron Gregory) came over and greeted us. He recommended a few selections from the menu. We will definitely be back. read more

Service was slow. Food was mediocre at best. Steak was undercooked, and seafood was over cooked. Server/bartender was nice.

A new joint with some kinks to work out. Ordered 3 burgers, 2 medium and 1 medium well, and all 3 came out well done. Fixings could be a bit better cut, don't want a huge slice of onions, tomatoes and pickle........ A salad on a bun with Burger. Also the wait was considerable for our food with an almost empty restaurant. Also could use a some drink descriptors on the menu since the wait staff don't know what is in them. read more

We went for dinner. Our waiter, Steve, was very attentive and knowledgeable. Menu prices include tax and fees (12%) which made the prices seem higher, but they are comparable to local restaurants. There is a nice variety of dishes available as well as a children's menu. They key lime pie was delicious and came in a mason jar. They have a good selection of draft beers and plenty of televisions (including one at each booth) for those who want to watch sports. It's a very nice atmosphere and has an arcade for the kids. For some reason this place is hyped, but it's basically a run of the mill sports bar. I suppose it's helped by its location in the equally over-hyped OWA Amusement Park. We went there during the Halloween season festivities. The wait was a solid hour, which was standard at all OWA restaurants, but unlike the others, this one actually had people, so we assumed it was better. Not so much. The service was below average and it took a long time to place or receive any orders. The pretzel sticks are pretty good though, as are the wood-grilled oysters, though the latter are a bit small. As for the entrees, skip the wings. $16 "market price" for 10 soggy, cold wings. The not so loaded Philly Cheeseteak tasted okay, but was short on the actual meat. If you want a good Philly Cheeseteak, go to The Sloop in Gulf Shores. They have their own house beer, but though the waitress claimed it was "super light," it tasted like a mediocre wheat beer to me. But there are ample other draft options. So not really worth any wait, but if you want beer, oysters, pretzels, and sports, you could do worse. read more

Groovy Goat was great! It hasn't been open 6 months and they seem to have it down. It's new, and has a variety of entrees, appetizers and some great deserts! They have entertainment everywhere and is a great place to be while family or friends spend time in OWA. l'll be back next time I'm in Foley, Alabama! read more

Went to the Goat because it's the only sports bar in foley /gulf shores and it was super bowl. Asked about food specials told there was none even though I had called and was told unlimited wings were the special. Couldn't used a food coupon on any promotion even though not listed on coupon. There were four of us we made the most of no special and just ordered drinks and beer. Later we were told wings were the special we ordered unlimited wings and wedge fries. The wings came boneless and the size - what a joke (nugget cut into six pieces) looked like the leftover batter from the fryer 15 tiny little pieces. Ordered more and 5 tiny little pieces came to top it off the wedge fries were sweet potatoes fries. Those had to go back no one wanted sweet potatoe fries. Obviously the waitress doesn't know product very we!I. In addition to the food after my third same beer order she brought me a completely different size and beer. Wishing for a sports bar just a little better. I know it was super bowl but come on we probably spent $200 there. read more

We waited for almost a hour before someone even recognized we were sitting down at the table. it took 20 mins to get drinks. Then about 40 more minutes to get our food. Which considering the prices was not anything special at all. I do not recommend sitting and eating here. Although it would be a great place to sit at the bar and watch a game. read more

Ended up here by accident. Stopped to eat at another place in the plaza, but it had closed early. We were tired and hungry and decided to give this place a try. We really enjoyed the atmosphere (it was karaoke night) and employees were super nice. The manager went out of his way to make us feel welcomed. We went in knowing there would be a wait since it's Mother's Day weekend, yet from the time the waitress took our food order to when the food hit our table was 1 hour and 30 minutes. We had 4 burgers and 2 salads. We was seated at 630 and the balloon festival had the balloon glow at 730, and we thought we was going to be fine and just be a little after that. We got our food at 8 and ate and by time we left the balloons were going down. also we had a party of 6 and they applied the 18% gratuity that would be for a party of 8 or more and when we addressed it to the waitress she denied it was on there and when we showed her she snatched the ticket and walked away. When we talked to the manager just to make him aware of what was happening with the 1.5 hour wait time for food his response was we are busy so there will be a wait. Understandable, yet when the two tables around us come after us and leave before us it's aggravating. read more

Horrible! Food was awful and while the server was friendly, she was overwhelmed with the amount of tables she was working. Service was slower than slow, food arrived late and cold. The burgers are cooked to death, dry, dry, dry. Too bad, with some decent management this place has excellent potential. This was the most fun we had at a restaurant all week! Stan was an awesome waiter and really added to the whole experience. The Tatchos were so good! Huge wonderful glasses of ice water were much appreciated after the sunny days at the beach. Definitely will return here when we are back down this way! read more

It has amazing food and the service was fast and they were nice and respectful. We got the tots and they were amazing and not greasy at all.

Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The waitress was really nice and was knowledgeable of the menu. Burger was cooked perfect and they put the right amount of condiments and other toppings in it so as nothing over powers the other. Defiantly a spot I'd go to again when down that way. read more

We love this place! The atmosphere is great for kids and adults! The nachos are wonderful and they make them table-side but they are HUGE so we share them amongst 4-7 of us as an appetizer(Or get them as a meal for 2-4 people). Their buffalo sliders are also fabulous and homemade! The kids love having the arcade to play in and they keep sports on most of the televisions, so it's a win-win for everyone! So if you don't know The Groovy Goat charges you 10 % "Foley, Alabama state , local tax" on top of a "OWA" tax of 2%. So if you do the math, anything you do at OWA you are paying an extra 2% tax to pay their taxes the state charges them for the Park. This is a rip-off that all the businesses make us pay as consumers. The waitress was nice, but she tried to tell me the management said that they don't charge us (the consumer the tax). She said the 2% is what's added to the cost of the food, not tax. What kind of logic is that? I guess she thought we were stupid and tried to convince me we weren't getting taxed even though we were. So if you eat at Groovy Goat or use the OWA Park plan on paying 12% tax on EVERYTHING you do and eat! Just check you're receipts it s on there. read more

Would give a zero star. The service was horiable and 5 mins after leaving my whole family and myself were sick as can be turns out we all got food poisoning from there. I also saw them drop the silverware they use to get French fries out of the bowl on to the plate on the floor it was left there for 5 mins before someone noticed picked it up and put it right back on the table for them to use. The food was good. The service had a lot to be desired. Had to ask for drink refills. The prices were a little pricey for the quality of food. Our server was nice but everyone was running around not sure what to do next. Met some friends for dinner there and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was good, staff was friendly, and prices were reasonable. I split my oyster sliders with a member of my group who had the mushroom burger. Both were exceptionally good. Another diner had the redfish sandwich and said it was great. Fries were very good as well. If I have one criticism, it is that the beer cheese dip that came with our pretzel appetizer tasted as if it came straight from a can, such as the gloppy orange stadium concession stand variety. It really was bad. The pretzels themselves were warm and absolutely delicious. Work on that beer cheese, guys, and that app is a real winner! Overall, well worth the visit! read more

We all agreed that our food was not home made and almost all from frozen. The grilled chicken was rubbery and gross. None of our food came out the right way, had to ask for pickles for a sandwich that was supposed to come with, some people got sauce and some didnt, seems like they don't know their own menu. When we got our tickets, they had already added in the 18% tip (for 6 people and a baby). The menu said they would do that for parties of 8 or more so we questioned the waitress and she said they changed it to 6 but would ask the manager. They ended up taking it off (I guess 8 was right after all?). It was weird, and we wouldn't have minded it had the food and service been good. All staff were wearing masks but we saw several of them standing in the kitchen where the food comes out with masks down talking. If your staff has to wear masks the very place they should HAVE to wear it should be next to the food!!! This place is horrible, save your money and go elsewhere, trust me :) read more

Well maybe next time I'll find out if the food is good. The intake of incoming customers was a cluster. We arrived two big groups ahead of us. The lady asked how many, we told her 5. My wife ask are you writing down our names? The greeter said she was going to go get something to write on, so after30 minutes of sitting there and watching others come in and being seated. She asked again and the greeter said oh I'll add your name. The two groups in front of us at this point are pissed and decided to leave. When she walked over to us again after 15 more minutes and asked our name again and said she would add it to the list, we decided to go eat somewhere else. The place looked nice, the arcade was great the kids loved it. The service was awful and she judged looked at everyone that was leaving like it was our fault she didn't know how to do her job. Who seats and doesn't have a list or something to write it down. Who tells 5 groups that they will be seated in a few minutes then completely forgets about them and starts seating new customers. Really excepted a much different rent out come. Good news lots of places to eat around there and the service we got was amazing and the food was great. I watched min 25 people leave because of the poor service from the initial contact. You won't stay in business long with this kind of service. read more

this place is TERRIBLE. found hair in my food, messed up order two times. service was horrible and food was freezing cold not cooked. i ordered twice bc of hair in my food and and earring was cooked into my hamburger. A random worker sent my daughter a drink and she is only 12 it had alcohol in it in the waitress away allowed it and offered me white powder white powder. this old worker cussed me out and said awful to me. i do recommend coming here. read more

Two hours from the time we ordered until we got our food. The waitress was kind and apologized several times. Said they had some people to quit in the kitchen. The manager however came over and leaned across the back of our table and was very rude and snappy and made us feel like it was our fault. I am a local and will never go back.
