Great service provided by Mario and team in replacing electrical panels at my single family home in Poway. Mario was very communicative from the beginning till the end of the project. He provided a professional scope of work that included stucco patchwork post panel installation offered at a price that no vendors could beat. I was surprised that he and team did great quality of work for the price they charged me. Would want to use his service again and highly recommend him for their quality of work and unbeatable pricing read more

Mario and team did a great job with our place. We needed 4 sets of lights in rooms that had no ceiling mounts and Mario was able to come in and quickly assess what was needed. On the day of installation, he was careful to minimize the number of cuts needed in the wall and was thorough to check everything worked. In addition, he connected us with a dry wall repair person that patched things up. Would highly recommend his professionalism and craftsmenship. read more

Mario and his team have been amazing - We have used them for three separate jobs, all requiring lots of reworking and re-wiring. One of them was a heavy complicated, large chandelier. Every job has been done at the highest level of craftsmanship, professionalism and skill. The prices are very fair and his team (we've had Vic a lot) are friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Feel so lucky to have as our electrician company! read more

Hired Ground Up Electric to test and replace wall outlets as needed in our 42 year old house. After many years, wall outlets may not secure electric cords as well as they once did. One outlet even sparked occasionally when a cord was removed. Matt purchased matching outlets, tested all outlets and replaced five. He also replaced our doorbell. Cost of service was $285 including parts and two hours of labor, which I thought was quite reasonable. This is the second time we have hired this company. Mario and Matt installed garage lighting for us three years ago and did a great job. read more

If your in need of electrical work, look no further than Ground Up Electric. I had a rather difficult dual chandelier installation. Had been told from two other electricians that it would be difficult and costly to install. Thankfully I searched Nextdoor and found Ground Up Electric was highly recommended. Mario and Matt arrived with masks on and we're able to install my dual pendant chandeliers in no time. There price was half of what the other companies were quoting me. In difficult times like these it's important to work with companies you can trust and I definitely trust Ground Up Electric. read more

A long awaited project of adding lights to an impossible screen room was finally done by Ground Up Electric. I say impossible because previously I had several electricians look at adding can lights to this room with no success. I was told that there wasn't enough space in the ceiling to install can lights due to the foam/metal roof. As recommended by a family member, I contacted Mario and was genuinely impressed by his overall response to what I wanted to have done (there is a way to get those can lights installed and it can be done, as he confirmed that). We scheduled an appointment - he was prompt, checked the area for lights, gave great recommendations for the type of number of can lights and placement on the ceiling for the best lighting. He installed 8 lights and they looks great! I am very happy with his workmanship. He was able to cut into the funky ceiling and get the electrical wire through very tough areas in the ceiling and through the thick wall by going under the house to get the electric wire in the wall for the dimmer switches. This was no easy job as I saw how he diligently worked at measuring everything so that the lights would be in a perfect location without being off centered in that room. Thank you Mario! Now I can move on with installing the bead board with trim and repainting the room that I've wanted to do for awhile now. Again, I am very happy with Mario's professionalism! He is the one that I will be calling for electrical jobs due to his promptness, no job to small, great work, dependability, and cost of his work. I recommend Ground Up Electric for electrical jobs you may have! read more

We needed to install two overhead lights in our garage and provide power. Also needed to connect an existing extension cord to a multiple outlet box on the workbench. I sent a description of the job to five electricians on Angie's List. Three never responded, but two did. Mario at Ground Up Electric was the only electrician who stopped by to survey the job. We discussed the options and he offered to do the job at a fair price. Mario was also very responsive in all our communications. We are very satisfied with the work and can highly recommend his company. read more

I came home and put something in the refrigerator and it clicked off. This has happened before. I called Ground Up because they were suggested on my local Nextdoor. I was told that they would be here in an hour but it was much sooner. He found out that a number of my breakers were burning out and he replaced them. He also made recommendations for my landlord. I would recommend these people based on their diligence. read more

This review is 3 months delayed, but I wanted to make sure that I took the time to write Ground Up Electric a positive review, because they deserve it. I recently had some remodeling done and the general contractor did horrible electrical work, and so I took matters into my own hand to find a licensed electrician. I called a few places to get an estimate, and Mario stood out buy his professionalism, knowledge, his willing to work with your schedule and non judgmental attitude even after he saw what my GM had done. Mario was upfront about his estimate and gave me a vert detailed breakdown of his estimate, he listened to what I wanted done and provided valuable recommendations. They were able to schedule me within reasonable amount of wait time to come and do the work. The day of the work, Mario showed up with Matt the day of the work, and both were absolutely professional, hard working to get the work done. After spending a very long day working on my project, they even offered to help my husband reinstall the wall oven unit because I was useless in helping my husband. I was so impressed with Mario and Matt's work that I had them quote me additional projects and they will be returning for some more work once the stay at home order from the COVID-19 pandemic is lifted. Thank you Ground Up Electric for all the work done. We are beyond satisfied and have already recommended Ground Up Electric to anyone who is looking for a licensed electrician. read more

So happy with Mario and Matt's work on installing 4 can lights in my living room. They even went the extra mile to remove a fan box and rewire it. They were very professional, on time, really fast and cleaned up! When getting an estimate Mario was really prompt at responding and was able to schedule quickly. I got some other outrageous quotes from other companies that were hundreds of dollars more compared to Ground Up. I will definitely be using them for all my other electrical needs.
