    White wine clams - incredible
    Bailey L.

Phenomenal! We absolutely loved this place! Both clam options were delicious, the coconut lime ones were my favorite! The crab cakes were also incredible!! We loved our server (I forgot to get her name but she grew up here and was back for summer from college). She was so sweet, very attentive and had great recommendations. I wish we lived here because we would be going here every weekend! Loved that they had a patio and that it had a fence to help tame the wind.

At first I wasn't sure what to expect from the outside view. However, food was good. The fries were ok. However, the fish and chowder were delicious. Server was friendly, attentive and did a great job covering all the tables alone.

What a great little fine! They just got done with refreshing it up and within a few minutes of arriving they were packed. They had coconut lime steamed clams and they were delicious. Very friendly feeling as soon as you walk in.

Probably not a typical experience. They mentioned they were closing for a remodel in the coming weeks so things may not be the norm. Even though they had a big display of beer tap handles....they seemed to have a very narrow selection of brews when we visited today. My bride ordered the "Fish and Chips" ($26) - which was grilled Cod. She was not partiularly pleased with her selection saying the fish was not flaky (but more chewy). I went with the Wasabi Fish Tacos ($24) - also grilled, and they were good. We thought the place seemed a little on the expensive side, but loved the vibe/atmosphere and would come back again!

    Wasabi fish taco. YummmmmO

Impressed! Some of the best fish we have ate. We ordered fish and chips and wasabi fish tacos. The cod was lightly breaded and fish was not greasy. Jeremy the cook has perfected this art. Russ welcomed us at the door and provided excellent table service and conversation. Do not hesitate to stop here in your travels.

Fish & chips - light, flaky and crunchy exterior with delicious fish!

We were driving through and decided to spend the night in Gold Beach, Oregon. It's a small town with limited food options that were open when we arrived. This place had a wait when we arrived because they are short staffed (who isn't these days). The business is veteran owned and they were extremely kind and added us to the list knowing we will be seated around closing time. The tuna melt blew me away! If we are ever in the area, I will be returning for this! The fish and chips were light, flaky, crunch and delicious as well. A tiny more salt and this would be the ideal receipe! I throughly enjoyed the side salad as well. It had a hint of bitterness (in thinking from the finely chopped kale) and the vinegar made it so I didn't need to add the ranch dressing. It was perfect! I would skip the garlic fries. We sat outdoors on their cute patio type enclosure. It was a little chilly but we had our sweaters! Overall, great stop and I felt good supporting a local small business as well!

We were so lucky to be the first guests after their remodel! Had such a good lunch, Russ treated us extremely well and was very friendly. Jeremy made some great eats and the beer was crisp. Would absolutely come back!

Sweet Potato Fries and Candied Jalapeño Burger

Best food I have ever had! Juicy burgers and great fries. Friendly staff and comforting ambience. I will be a returning here every time I am in town!

The food here was very good. The service was slightly understaffed and that made things slow and clunky.

Kind of a hip dive bar meets delicious food with a sprinkle of old timers ready to share a story or two with you while you wait. We got burgers, cuz duh... Look at these things!! I got mine with a side salad instead of fries and my friend got the fries. All of it was delicious. There was zero chance either of us were able to finish these monsters so the rest came home with us. The side salad was amazing! Fries were delicious. And the burgers did not disappoint. The guy at the counter was super friendly and everyone in the establishment gave off a friendly vibe. Happy they were the only place open when we were driving through. We would definitely visit again.

Walk in on 4th of July to the entire place packed and a pizza just coming out of the oven, everyone has multiple pizzas.. I try to order to go.. nope sorry pizza oven isn't working. LMFAO. Or when they want you to eat there and keep drinking their overpriced booze. Either fix your pizza oven, upgrade your disgusting black fingerprint and gunk covered white standing fridge that everyone can see when ordering or tell your customers you don't want their patronage and aren't making anymore pizzas for the night. Be honest. Place has been reported to health dept for unsanitary practices in the kitchen. It's truly disgusting. Also the main bitch up front always is bitching about being there, bitching when an employee calls out sick because she has to work longer, or bitches that anyone else that works there doesn't know how to do shit. It truly is SO off putting for anyone to come in and feel like they can enjoy a meal or themselves. Especially anyone who isn't from this town and is visiting or passerby's.. it's not welcoming. Find a new job if you don't like what you do. NOONE is making you stay there.

Their website showed me that we could make an online reservation, but not knowing for sure when we were even leaving home, I left that to chance. When we got there, we were promptly greeted by the hostess. There was seating at the bar, or a table for two in the far corner next to the windows, and we could wait at the bar if we wanted for about 10 minutes. We chose to wait at the door, absorbing the ambience, and we were not disappointed. When we were seated, the waitress was very friendly, and presented us with menus that were almost beyond belief in the quality of the food represented. We both settled for grilled rockfish and clam chowder, a light meal suited to our desire to be good to ourselves. The food arrived and was beautiful, both in its obvious high-quality, but also in its presentation. I'm a stickler for good flatware, and theirs was flawless. The clam chowder was tasty, and full of different ingredients to provide a fun variety of textures in the clams potatoes a bit of corn, etc. The grilled rock fish was a generous fillet, cooked to perfection and presented on a light base of shredded lettuce. The waitress was attentive and knowledgeable, and provided us with a dessert menu that was impossible to make the right choice from, because everything was made in house, including the cinnamon ice cream on the Berry cobbler. We settled for toffee cake and a berry cobbler. Again, generous portions of really fine food, and the waitress cheerfully brought us boxes so we did not have to uncomfortably stuff ourselves with dessert. The view of the ocean was remarkable, and we were there to watch the sunset as we enjoyed our meal. It was a really memorable experience

You can also watch people walking on the beach & fishing boats. The view is beautiful! We started with the croquettes which they served with a delicious sauce. Then we had the Clam Chowder. Which was also excellent. I compare all Clam Chowder to Ivars, and this one didn't disappoint. I had Clam linguine which was loaded with fresh clams I removed from the shells & a light cream sauce. My husband had the Sable fish, which was sautéed & served with Polenta & olives. Very good he said. Our server was very attentive & made great recommendations for wine, beer and food. We didn't have dessert which looked yummy, but opted instead for an after dinner walk on the beach. I definitely recommend Redfish when you are staying in Port Orford, Gold Beach or Bandon. Or just passing through.

They make their own vodka and it's quite nice. Do yourself a favor and try any of the Superfly specials with it, they'll surprise you. They do have a food menu, but it's a martini bar first and restaurant second. The food was pretty decent, but the knife work, plating and ratios showed the experience behind the stove. I was pleasantly surprised when I was told I could order fish tacos even though it wasn't on the menu. I love a good grilled fish taco so I went for it. The fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned well, the green and orange sauces were good if a little too mild, and the tortillas were the right style but not grilled quite enough. Also, there was very little cilantro or onion and almost no cabbage so they weren't as filling as I would have liked. My wife had the Katsu Chicken Salad. It arrived plated like it was deconstructed: the katsu on a bed of lettuce greens with very thick slices of vegetables around around the plate and the dressing on the side. It was odd, clunky and the katsu was under seasoned. The peanut dressing was divine though, my wife said she could have drank that like milk. There are some other dishes I'd like to try and their drinks were fantastic so we'll definitely try them again.
