The donuts here are your best bet, they are amazing. Coffee drinks, however feels like a bit of a waste when the flavors are so mild to the point where it doesn't even taste like anything but coffee. Sort of disappointing when you dish out $7 for a latte that is supposed for taste like Cinnamon Toast Crunch but instead tastes like a plain latte. Donuts here are delicious AND beautiful! Today we were so excited to pick up our pre-ordered July 4 fancy donuts.... And completely forgot we ordered to pick up YESTERDAY! What incredible people to offer, if i was willing to wait, to make some up or replace with ones already on display. Went back once again giving them one last chance. Had the pop tart blueberry. Bottom line is that they are a ripoff!!!! Nothing like when the 1st opened in Danbury. The owner blamed the fire and said they would get back to the original size. The $5 donut is not oversized nor are they using the same doughnut ingredients any longer. Just visited this new spot in Danbury. They have donuts, tea, coffee, and they have a bar too. The place was spotless and had a cool vibe to it. I got the rainbow cookie iced latte which was delicious it tasted how a coffee is supposed to taste. I also had the strawberry green tea which was vey refreshing. The donuts i got were fruity pebbles, churro, coffee cake, and the maple bacon they were all beyond delicious. And they're huge. read more

I've been searching for great donuts in CT since I moved to the area four years ago. I've tried Neil's, Donut Crazy, Brooklyn Baking Company, Coffee An' Donut, and Rise. Out of all these places, I've found Grounds Donut House is the best. The former donut places are either heavy, greasy, stale, or lack flavor. Grounds is everything I want in a donut--light, flavorful, and laminated perfectly. So far, I've tried the glazed, chocolate frosted with sprinkles, and the strawberry Pop-Tart donuts--all fantastic! I've also tried the Nitro Cold Brew--also excellent. I will also say the inside of their establishment is pristine, and the workers are extremely nice (this coming from a former Midwesterner). I'm a doughnut fanatic. Love trying local doughnuts. Grounds definitely has beautifully decorated and quite large doughnuts! The taste, however, wasn't as good as others I've tried. All the doughnuts are raised dough with different toppings. Would have liked to see some cake doughnuts! read more

I try and support my small business' in my community whenever possible. This was my first time here. I liked the logo. I thought it was cool. I thought because it's called a donut house that my craving for some good donuts would be fulfilled coming here. I was mistaken. There's a very small selection of donuts. I bought two donuts for over, eight dollars and change. As I got in the car and I went to eat one I said this better be worth eight dollars. Tasteless, dry, overpriced, never again! I don't like to be taken advantage of. Just because you are a local business and just because you have a cool logo, doesn't mean that you get to take advantage of peoples hard earned money. Why do you call yourself a donut house, when you don't have a big selection of donuts and you probably don't even make them there? People I didn't think I was ever going to say this but you're better off getting supermarket donuts or Dunkin' Donuts. At least you'll be guaranteed to have a nice moist donut at a reasonable price. read more

These donuts are fantastic! We got a variety of them to try. All were great! We shared them with friends and the votes were unanimous: 100% delicious! The strawberry was my daughter's favorite. I must say the maple bacon is pretty good. The chunky monkey was also delicious. All of the donuts have a light, airy, quality taste to them. I have never had tasted donuts this good. Even more impressive was how clean and careful they are with COVID protocols. They are smart in how it is all arranged for pick up. read more

Donuts are significantly smaller than when Grounds first opened up. Prices have remained the same as far as I'm aware. Wanted to love this place but $4 a donut that is slightly larger than a Dunkin donut is not for me. read more

My husband and I went Grounds Donut House with a huge expectation with the promotional article on News Times. I have been eating donuts way before anyone in that shop was born. Since I used to be a donut fanatic, I visited donut shops for breakfast everywhere I visit. In my experience, donuts in West coast were not that good. Now, there are Dunkin Donuts in some part of California. When I read this shop is inspired from Oregon, I had doubt. But I had to try. I was impressed by the size of it and decoration. Else, it was a huge disappointment. First, the dough is not quite donut. It is between cake, bread and donut. Because of that, it is too filling. After eating a half of it, I am through. For good donuts, I can eat three or more at one seating. Another disappointment is Boston Cream, it is definitely not Boston Cream. It must be Oregon Cream. Maple Bacon and Spicy Maple Pecan could be a huge hi if the dough is acceptable. I do not go to Dunkin Donuts anymore because I did not like their service and am trying to limit sweets. However, no place make "Glazed" and "Boston Cream" as good as Dunkin. read more

Sadly unimpressed. 6 donuts and three latte's cost us $40! I was stunned, nearly $5 a donut!?!? I thought these better be amazing; they were not. My wife and I took my mom here thinking it would be a fun and yummy stop for a late morning latte and sweets. The menu on yelp looked delicious and the ratings indicated it was a can't miss. I have no idea why this place is rated so high. People's expectations have obviously lowered much further than I thought possible. First off, they were sold out of almost everything "donut"-wise. I immediately noticed something seemed off with their concept of a donut. Very large and thick, it is actually more like a sweet bread, that they cut to look like a donut. Tastes nothing like what a New Englander would call a donut. Then they just drizzle a flavor on top or slather some frosting on it and call it "Chocolate Cherry", or "Churro". They are not very good. Secondly, they tout there Latte's; trust me they are horrible. Taste like grounds floating in water, and the flavors were undetectable. Don't bother stopping by, grab a donut and coffee across the street at Stop n Shop! So much better and one eighth the price. read more
