The half day job was $697 in labor alone. The product cost another $42. Broken down by the hour the labor alone came to $198.57 per hour. Yes, we knew the charge in advance and agreed to it. He takes great pride inHis work and draped painting canvas drop Cloths from the front door to the master bath. I was considering tearing out the bathtub tile surround and am so happy I didn't. Michael took years of soap scale off the old tiles, clean all the grouting and replaced with new grout where needed. He sealed all the grout is a wonderful color. He removed and replaced all the tub caulking and replaced the caulking on both sides if the sliding doors and the bottom of the outside of tub where it meets the floor. I was very fortunate to have found Grout Works. I recently had my HVAC system replaced and in the bathrooms some patching tile work was needed due to relocation of registers. My HVAC Contractor (Eco Performance Builders; see my review of them), found Michael of Grout Works to repair the bathroom tiles. Michael is a congenial professional with many years of experience. Michael has worked on 2 bathrooms and an atrium for me, and he has always done an excellent job. What is more, he really knows his business! I hired him initially to regrout and refresh a shower that I had in a rental unit in San Francisco. He made it look like new. Therefore, when I ran into a serious problem with some stones that I had laid down in a brand new bathroom remodel, I called Michael. The people who sold me the stone, didn't know what to do. No one knew what to do. Everything was staining my stones. Michael came by, took a sample of the stone and ran a bunch of experiments with it. Based on those results, he came back and treated my stone. Although he was not able to remove all the damage that had been done to the stone prior to coming onto the scene, he was able to make the stone look MUCH better and he stopped my staining problem.
