We hit Taylor's tap & grill this weekend after a walk at Nike base trails on Grand island. Bonus points for us, we were seated immediately & the corner booth fit all 5 of us comfortably :) There were many delicious sounding options for cocktails & draft beer. I will have to order one next time! Our super nice server came right away to take our order & she kept the glasses full. We enjoyed the decor the whole restaurant feels comfortable & welcoming. We had the street corn dip app & poutine fries to start. It was hard to stop eating that corn dip! We ordered a Cuban sandwich, it was giant!. A cheese burger, very good size and fresh toppings. 2 different flatbreads, chicken & bacon and a veggie goat cheese. I had the veggie goat cheese and it was delicious, the bread was so crispy. We were staying close to this establishment and saw the reviews and decided to give it a try. We had great service by a brand new employee. We sat outdoors. I ordered the Goat Cheese and Cranberry Salad. It was a HUGE portion with a homemade dressing. I took half of it home and enjoyed it the next day because th dressing was on the side. It was served with fried goat cheese balls. Hubby ordered the French Onion Soup that he says was amazing. Went with my family and had an assortment of food. From poutine fries to a Cuban to wings. Overall I'd definitely recommend checking it out. Food was good (not the best I've had, but still good). Went to Taylor's tap and grill for the first time. The fish was well cooked , batter had good flavor. The fish was tender and flakey the slaw compliments the fries well . All in all was good . What a great little mom & pop type place! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and our server came over right away to take our drink order. I had the triple decker club sandwich which was the biggest club sandwich I have ever had! Seriously, it had nice thick slices of turkey and ham and cheese on nicely toasted multigrain bread. It came with fresh cut fries which were also some of the best I have had! My wife had chicken fingers with a sweet BBQ sauce on the side and she couldn't stop raving about how good they were. This restaurant is a regular for my husband and I, however lately we have been getting less than satisfying meals. I ordered their roast beef sandwich, which I have ordered many times before, and there was way less roast beef and also the roast beef and gravy were cold. My husband got the cheesy grits and shrimp that was a special. His plate came and they had piled pieces of burnt bacon all on the top, which was not appetizing at all for him. The grease on the plate was so massive. You'd need a cup to pour it all in. He's usually a guy who eats all of his meal and then some but tonight he left a lot of the food on the plate. He got a bad stomach ache when he got home, not sure why they needed to put the bacon pieces on it , which, by the way he did not eat. Little hidden gem near the Niagara Falls airport. Food is top notch, had the pot roast sandwich special loaded with wonderful slow roasted beef, cheese, onions, and mushrooms between two deliciously toasted pieces of bread. It was a knife and fork sandwich by choice after a long ride on the snowmobile trails up north. I believe that this place just reopened a couple of weeks ago. They have a very nice outdoor patio where the tables are properly spaced. I had the big ditch hayburner IPA. My meal choice was the pot roast melt with french fries. The serving size of both was just right. I believe that the cheese on the sandwich was provolone and it tasted great! The service was good, but the food is mediocre. The pizza trunks were large, but a bit greasy and lacking flavour. The beef on weck (they call it Justin Thyme original roast beef) was lean and juicy, but it lacks seasoning. Our waiter was awesome & had a refreshing energy! I came for the Friday fish fry after looking at the reviews & from word of mouth on how great it is. The price for the LUNCH portion was $10 and the dinner portion was $13. They accept card for payment- I always ask in smaller places like this because sometimes they only accept cash. They have an ATM as well. They make their own tar tar sauce. It seems to have minced onion in it. It's different but delicious. The fries seems to be made in house which is nice as well. I ordered beer battered haddock and it tastes like a cornmeal breading. Not what I expected. They also have breaded on the menu but with how this is, I expect that's more of a panko breading. Next time I come, I will probably try something different. Nothing compares to my Mr.B's fish fry!!!! read more

The location was interesting but just a short drive for us since we were staying on the base nearby. They definitely have plenty of space offering booths, tables, bar seats and outside tables as well. Pretty interesting decor in the place and we came for lunch during the week so it wasn't very busy at all. What I would tell you is that all the portions are HUGE! My coworkers and I were surprised at how big everything was and barely ate all of our food. We all said we could've probably shared most of it. Loaded tatertots was really good, plenty of bacon and cheese. Although, the bacon was a bit crisper than I would have expected. Next someone ordered the Buffalo Fries which were potato wedges, actually very good and a hugeeee portion for it to be on the appetizers menu. I would suggest they gave half of that order and lower the price a bit. Lastly, I got the Tex Burger which was amazing! It was a burger topped with pulled pork, bacon and bbq sauce! Went here for dinner on Wednesday night. We were seated immediately at a booth. The place is very open with a lot of tables to the right, in front of the large bar, and many booths to the left. Outside in front there was a huge patio with many tables. We were presented with a clipboard as their menu, that was really lame. You basically had to flip the pages up to go through the menu. Here's a tip for the owner: Invest a few bucks in foldable clear plastic menu books where you could easily slide your paper menus into--jeesh! We ordered the pub burger and fries, as well as the wings that were only 60¢ each on Wednesday's. We ordered tall draft beer, only $3 for 16oz, and $4 for 22oz. Our waitress kept disappearing but she brought out our drinks and food in a timely manner. The burger was pretty plain tasting and the fries too dark brown. The wings, on the other hand, were outstanding with a nice spice added to them for distinct flavor. Nice and crispy too I would definitely go back for the wings and beer! read more
