We went around in circles for about 20 minutes until they finally admitted that when they got the file from the Dr. Lee's office there were behavior notations on it that the Dentist was in here refusing to see her and they came up with a plan that was completely not actionable, and when we were unable to make that work, they just dug in harder and harder. I wish we never went to this place. They claimed to be. Experienced with children with special needs they wasted almost a year of time because they did not communicate their intentions with integrity and of course it's my daughter who then suffers. I think once integrity and trust is gone nothing else really matters.

The office is SO accommodating for my very nervous son. They meet him where he is at and respect his boundaries. They take the time to earn his trust and never try and pull a fast one on him. He actually can get his exam and a cleaning and it's such a relief to know he can get the care he needs. Dr. Aimee is absolutely incredible, the techs are all so sweet, and the front office is super helpful and even lets my kiddo peek at their office equipment. I'm so glad we found Kirkland children's dentistry. It one less thing I have to worry about when trying to navigate my kiddo's care.

Dr. Wang and her team are so nice and supportive. One of my sons seems to be prone to cavities and he's also a bit nervous about people doing things to his mouth and shots. We waited as long as we could to treat the cavities, monitoring them closely along the way, until he was older and could tolerate the procedure. Dr. Wang gave me options, listened to my concerns, and supported what made me most comfortable. We worked with a therapist on helping my son with his fears and then started the process of treating the cavities. Dr. Wang has been so supportive and helpful in getting him through... she really cares about wanting kids to have good experiences at the dentist so they won't have a lifelong fear and have good teeth. I have really appreciated her partnership in developing a plan that is best for him. My boys enjoy coming here because they get to watch shows they want to on tv and get little prizes.

The staff at Dr Marchant's office was very kind and careful with my son. They easily had the opportunity to run up the bill on us requiring X-rays, but were fine using our existing X-rays for another six month...nice since we don't have dental insurance. Dr Marchant was very straightforward and clinical, but I don't see that as a negative for us like other reviewers. I appreciate detailed explanations when it comes to medical issues. We only had a cleaning and exam this visit and it was about $200 (cash price) which seems about average. Yay for no cavities! We'll be back again in 6 months.

My wife will do the same. It isn't the first time they messed up things. For at least 2-3 times, they had to charge extra than they initially claimed. They once charged my wife extra for my previous visit but I already paid what they claimed the cost would be during that visit. For another time they didn't file claim to my insurance correctly and I found it after 6 months and notified them. He has a quiet room so that we could be separated from the other patients as to not disturb them when my very young son was literally freaking out in the dental chair. Dr. Dave was so patient and emphasized making this a positive experience so we could build more into the appointment over time. Less than 2 years into our relationship, my son had an accident on his scooter where he needed a partial root canal. Children's Hospital could not get him in for the procedure (in order to completely knock him out) for 9 months so Dr. Dave agreed to "give it a try" in order to try and save the tooth by having the procedure done as soon as possible. We were successful! 10 years later, my son goes to see the dentist like any other kid would. The crown that came with the partial root canal has stood the test of time. Both of my children enjoy their visits to the dentist. Thanks again, Dr. Dave!

My only gripe outside of this is that sometime their hygienists can be too harsh on cleanings. The challenge that I have is that Avondale Smiles recommends services without helping to fully vet if those services are covered under insurance. I took my son there and they had recommended seals for his teeth. They told me that this would be fully covered under insurance. Guess what? It wasn't. The bill came to over $300 for this. When I called my insurance, they said it wasn't covered based on the service being previously performed. Why then did Avondale Smiles state that insurance would cover this? I wouldn't have approved the procedure knowing it wasn't covered by insurance. Avondale Smiles is very misleading in this and I wouldn't trust them with your dental health needs.
